Chose this hotel as the website had been updated to confirm Covid safe protocols were actually in place at the hotel.

We found this hotel to be excellent, very clean with extremely friendly staff. Prices for drinks & normal additional items are at the levels you would expect for this type of luxury hotel.

The family feel business is noticeable and keeps the character and some traditional touches, as is evident in the dining and lounge area - all very nice to enjoy the experience.

Our top level room was fabulous, albeit it had no air conditioning (or anywhere in the main building), but as it wasn’t too hot, it was fine. I think having air conditioning would actually impact the nice character and feel of the property - keeping as is good, my opinion! But by no means ruined our stay!

The spa and pool area are also super nice - treatments available in a careful safe manner, excellent too.

Overall, a great 2 nights. Staff were always willingly helpful and saying they seem busier than normal as less of them are back from lockdown and more rooms taken than they anticipated so quickly. Everywhere still felt quiet & plenty of space for social distancing.

We will visit again in the future.

Thank you Park House team!!

Can’t speak highly enough of Park House Hotel and Spa, it’s facilities, accommodation, beautiful Spa, great restaurant and not least the super friendly and helpful staff.

Booked on the Winter Retreat package we enjoyed 1 x nights accommodation in a Superior Room with use of Spa and breakfast included. Evening meal was delightful as was the sumptuous full English breakfast.

We shall definitely return to recharge our batteries and can recommend it as a lovely escape from the winter weather. Thank you to all the hotel staff who made the stay even more enjoyable.

PHH has a lovely homely upmarket feel, with only 20 rooms spread across the main house and in other houses in the grounds. Our group was split across locations. Rooms were cosy and traditionally and brightly decorated, with views over the lovely grounds and tennis court. The grounds-house had a separate kitchenette which was useful.
We enjoyed treatments in the spa, and the atmospherically-lit indoor pool but sadly the outdoor pool closes at end of September. Unlike other spa hotels where we've stayed, tea and coffee was not complimentary at the spa, and was served in paper cups. Shame.
The restaurant food was good, generous portions and hearty choices.
Overall the week-end was a perfect Girls' Getaway and, when rules permit, we would all love to return.

My partner and I have just stayed at the Park House Hotel for two nights. Everything was perfect, and this is by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. Our room was extremely comfortable (as are the communal areas), all the food we had was delicious and well presented, and the pool/spa area is super. We pre-booked a birthday afternoon tea for nine people, which was lovely and went really well. Stuart and Hannah were kind and attentive when taking our booking, and Chelsea was extemely pleasant and efficient when looking after us ........ as were all the staff we met. THANK YOU.

I booked The Park House Hotel to celebrate my best friends 50th birthday and her remission from cancer, away from both our families and our children. I wanted a quiet, COVID aware hotel, which would provide a relaxing one night away. This hotel was absolutely spot on. I booked a Family Suite, three course dinner, bed and breakfast at £385 for two people. Our suite was lovely, room 10 on the second floor, which is at the front of the building. Very comfy beds and lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. Our evening three course meal was delicious and the restaurant staff very accommodating when we asked to be moved to a quieter area. We intended to use the pool and spa, but never made it, we were too busy chatting in our room! Full English breakfast was delicious, my only comment would be that the coffee could be stronger, but that is just my personal taste.
This is a lovely hotel and we had an excellent one night away. A very big 'thank you' to all the staff for their hard work providing excellent service in very challenging times.

As always the stay was lovely. The staff really do make this place special. The are so hard working and will do anything to make your stay amazing. There have been some changes including charging for room service and no tea/ coffee or food in the spa, which is a shame but presume this is an economic thing. The biggest thing I would comment on re: constructive criticism is that the loungers really need cushions in the spa! I think for me that would keep me coming back as a bolt hole, as I would be comfortable both in the spa and the hotel. Lost some of it's previous great touches but still a good place to come.

I have always loved the Park House Hotel but this visit was disappointing. My friend ordered a prawn salad said it was delicious. I ordered my favourite pasta dish Penne Arabiatta. I was very disappointed as it came and just looked like pasta with tomatoe sauce poured over it. When I was asked by the waiter if everything was OK. I asked him if he could ask the chef how he had made the sauce. The waiter did not return. The waitress came to take the dessert order and asked if everything OK I told her that I was very disappointed with the pasta sauce. She apologised and said she would tell the Chef. The chef's response was to ask me how he it could be improved. I suggest that he Googles authentic Arabiatta sauce

We have not stayed but often go for coffee & lunch. It’s a beautiful hotel with excellent, very friendly & professional staff. Facilities are excellent with 2 pools, tennis court, crochet, 6 hole golf course & much more. The food is very good. They even cut the crust off the bread. Furnishing are to a high standards. Close friends have stayed for 5 days & spoke very highly of it.
It’s just a very comfortable & cosy place to be in beautiful scenery.

This was our 3rd visit as a group of girlfriends and yet again our time at PHH was an oasis of calm and relaxation. My roomie and I stayed in a different room this time, double aspect upstairs so lovely and light. Fresh milk arrived in a jiffy when requested but alas the hotel had no Earl Grey teabags it could provide.
Most of us had spa treatments and I used the pool several times over our stay. The pool is lovely, subtly lit and the initial chill when entering is fine once you start swimming. If more than four people try to swim it becomes a bit tight as the jaccuzzi takes up one corner preventing lengths that side and a section is roped off for faster swimmers. My full body massage was lovely, I definitely relished the chillax in the snug room for about 10 minutes afterwards.
The hotel feels more "country house" than hotel and, without exception, the staff are delightful. Even the miserable autumnal weather could not dampen the delight of our time there

Absolute perfection! Having travelled a fair bit, I can honestly tell our community that this Hotel is superb.
Situated in the South Downs national park, offering beautifully landscaped gardens, offering an air of nostalgia, The Park Hotel is simply unbeatable.
Impressive, attentive staff, you will be just spoiled!
Sumptuous, comfortable rooms, with amazing attention to detail, room service which is unrivalled, bed turned down, towels (to die for) changed twice daily.
Perfect cuisine, offering local sourced and exquisitely cooked, served by friendly, well informed staff
This is exquisite!!!!
Need to go back very soon

The COVID statement is on the website but not obvious from the home page - scroll to the bottom and see COVID 19 and other links on the left hand side. When I went in September they were leaving it to individual guests as to whether they wore a mask inside the hotel - most did not.
