We found this by accident after looking for hotels near the main route from Valencia to Barcelona. It's about 15mins from the main route nestled amongst the rolling hills.
I'm touring France and Spain with my two boys aged 8 and 5 and have stayed in a lot of hotels... This one blew us away, the hotel has nice large grounds which the boys explored for ages. The pool is cosy and has hydro jets at one end which was bliss after being in the car a lot. The pool also has a cascading waterfall which again is bliss on the neck and shoulders.
Then there's the room which was superb and almost the size of an apartment split into two rooms with twin beds for the boys and their own TV and a very comfortable double for dad, I slept like a log. The shower gels were all natural products which is a nice touch.
Just as we thought it couldn't get any better we went for dinner, I was a bit nervous about prices given the luxury setting and then found out it was 16.50 euros for..
3 starters, superb main course and it included wine.. The food is superb and the restaurant so lovely.
After dinner we retired for drinks outside before bed.
A relaxed 12 noon check out time allowed for a relaxed breakfast followed by a dip in the pool with the boys.
A shame we couldn't stay longer as we're now off to Porto Ventura.
Definitely make time to stay here

My spouse and I stayed at Mas el Cuquello for 2 nights early in July 2017. It was for us a repeat stay as we stayed there last year with four people. This hotel has a wondeful setting of a Spanish Country Estate, situated in the fields, no neighbours. Its setting of a country home of past ages has been preserved wonderfully with beautiful gardens, a pool and a field with a horse and chickens. The rooms are located around the central court, which is used as restaurant. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The thing that makes the difference is the people that work there. They are so genuinely warm and welcoming and do their utmost best to please us guests. The cook makes from each meal a wonderful experience of tastes that please the palate. On the second night he asked us what we would like to eat so we suggested some fish? He made a wonderfull Casserole with fish and shellfish. We can recommend this place for anyone who likes quiet and an excellent service. Thank you Mas el Cuquello Team!

Great place to spend amazing time with friends or family. The food was exquisite and the attention received has been incredible. We have been taught all corners of the house and have enjoyed a wonderful day.

Outstanding location in foothills and amongst olive groves and pines. Very peaceful. Nice renovated rooms, very pleasant. Extremely friendly and helpful service. The restaurant is a bit simple. However I can still remember the delicious sauteed rabbit, but it was served without any accompaniment such as vegetables, patatoes, etc. Would return and recommend with great pleasure.

Es un hotel situado cerca de una carretera que no esta muy transitada y al mismo tiempo esta situado en la naturaleza, si que e sposible realizar senderismo.
