During our trip to Cape Town, our tour guide booked this place. It is a lodge, or more like a guest house. It is situated at a residential area, neighbouring personal houses. However, the facilities that they provided were as good as a hotel, and as it is being run by individual, we were fortunate to have personalised service by the owner and the staffs themself, something ordinary hotel couldn't possibly provide. The rooms really spacious, well equipped and the bed was comfortable. It also provided free wifi. As our tour included meal, the stay at the lodge was inclusived of breakfast and dinner, and the meal that we have were simply delicious and really a lot ( the chef herself serve the meal )
The lodge is halal establishment, so everything is halal, a convenience fact for Muslim traveller.

I regularly book a room here for business purposes. I find the rates reasonable, the rooms comfortable and the breakfast decent. The location is perfectly central for my needs. The wifi is quite good on the ground floor. Parking is fine and I had good service all round.

I booked a triple room and was really impressed.
The room had 2 single and a double bed.
Free wifi works perfectly.
Free tea and coffee 24 hours.
Breakfast was above average for a small lodge.
The lounge on the ground floor came handy for business meetings.
The owner Mr Mohammed Peer was more that welcoming and helpful.
They also have 2 bedroom family suites on the higher floors.
Very reasonably priced.
I will definitely be back

Booked this place for my son's wedding. It was filthy . Towels and linen where dirty. Apartment was clearly not cleaned. Condition was a disgrace . Definitely dont recommend booking here . Tried to speak to Mohammed for a refund as we where forced to book elsewhere . Refuses to take our calls . Spoke to the brother any baker today. But still no joy .

The only review in respect of this establishment is self-evidently outdated. Burley Lodge was, in my experience, the most miserable establishment accompanied by Non-existent service. The place was unhygienic. By that I mean the linen, the beds, the sleeper couch, the limited cutlery and even the kettle. There were curtains missing on some of the window of both bedrooms,Ma's a result of which, our sleep was disturbed by about 5am already when the sun had risen.
The dust on the table legs, the tattered ironing board cloth and the stinge from the toilets arising from what I perceive to be the poor plumbing really repelled us from spending anytime in those rooms. Moreover, we woke up in the mornings itching and sneezing from the excessive dust and dust mites.
Worse yet, the management was unresponsive as a result of which we decided to check out from this lodge. The owner was simply unresponsive. It took a number of e-mails to get his attention and even then, with no success for a meaningful response. I even had to go as far as informing the owner that I would be reporting this transaction to the Consumer ombud.
In the result, the first part of our holiday was ruined. We had to go through the trouble of finding alternative accomodation in Cape Town during peak season in the midst of our holiday.
Hope this review assist you in making your decision about this establishment.

I drove from Durban to Cape Town to set up my son at University and residence. I was looking for accommodation for my family for over a week, with pricing being an important factor. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival at Burnley Lodge, which offered me a two bedroom unit, extremely spacious, comfortable and excellent mountain views at a price that did not hurt my pocket. This place is a short drive away from the city centre and all shops, and more importantly, the tourist places! Definitely recommended.
