Oakvale Lodge, established in 1996, is a 4 Star Guest House in Rondebosch offering bed and breakfast accommodation to business and holiday travellers. The 2 spacious shower en-suite rooms have separate entrances and secure parking is available behind remote controlled gates. All our rooms have 100% cotton percale linen, fluffy 635gsm towels, individual DSTV decoders (Multichoice Premium Hotel Package including all 8 Supersport channels), flat screen television, hairdryers, free wifi, bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. Electric blankets and heaters are supplied for the cold Cape winters.

Have been staying with Dalene for 5 years (TIP - its really a great place to stay if you are settling kids in at UCT). Dalene has the most adorable West Highland Terriers that make the B&B feel like your real home. It is superbly well situated with good access to highways if you are travelling around. Dalene really makes sure you have a great stay - She was away on the Saturday that I was staying and made sure I didn't want to cancel as there would be no normal breakfast. Instead I had wonderful goodies in my fridge which was quite unnecessary but shows how she cares for her guests.

I can thoroughly recommend staying with Dalene at Oakvale lodge. The experience of the comfort , friendliness and helpfulness was tremendous. I always felt appreciated as a guest and nothing however small was too much trouble for Dalene the host to answer. Guest house pool and garden were all fantastic. To get around Cape Town or local pub / restaurant in evening , Dalene recommended a local driver who added to the experience and made me feel safe whilst out and about.

We stayed in the Garden Room for 1 week from Xmas to New Years. The Garden Room is absolutely lovely. It is very private and quiet, has an indoor and outdoor seating area. The outdoor seating area is next to a tall leafy fence. The room has DSTV, aircon, a small safe (no plug and sadly not big enough for a 15 inch laptop), a hairdryer, a mosquito killer, a shower and toilet and basin in a separate room, a kitchenette with basin, microwave, bar fridge, mini kettle, coffee maker, hot plate, tea, coffee, little long life milk sachets and biscuits etc. The room was serviced daily, there were separate towels for the pool, the shower water pressure was good with plenty of hot water, the linen was clean and of good quality, the supplied toiletries were really nice (expect, oddly, for…

Such a lovely stay! Hosts were friendly and welcoming, the Garden Unit was perfect for a little break away and privacy including all amenities needed for a short or long stay . Property is ideally located within +-10min from local Restaurants and Shopping centre in Rondebosch. Breakfast was delicious :) Dalene is a wonderful Host.
