Our stay at the White Pearl was truly wonderful and relaxing. Our butler Maria got to know our individual preferences so quickly and went out of her way to provide us with brilliant service. Our two kids (17 and 14) absolutely loved their time at the White Pearl and both commented how Maria made them feel so special. Indeed, we all felt special and well looked after at the White Pearl. All the staff go out of their way to provide exceptional service. Our rooms were beautifully clean every day, and the setting of each room is magnificent - situated up on the side of the hill overlooking the ocean. We went on two ocean safaris with Wilfred and his team who took great care of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding on the beach and loved swimming in the ocean and in the swimming pools at the hotel. The food was delicious and plentiful too. The setting of the White Pearl is stunning the coast line beautiful and unspoiled by development. We had a much needed relaxing break and were made to feel very special and welcome. Overall we would like to commend the management and staff at White Pearl for their exceptional levels of service. This is something the truly sets them apart.

Given this was our first time in Mozambique we were a little apprehensive on what to expect. We should have put that aside because WOW, what an experience.
As a family (wife and two young kids) we decided to drive from South Africa to the White Pearl all of which was perfectly easy following on Waze (GPS). A note for anyone driving is that toll gates only accept cash - Moz Metical, Rand and US dollar accepted.
Upon arrival at the White Pearl you are treated with smiles and welcoming arms. They make everything as easy and stress free as possible. The resort is small enough that it doesn't feel crowded and provides many areas to relax and enjoy the Mozambique sun in private or in public social areas.
All of the rooms are the same, some further than others but there are golf carts to fetch you. Given how much food we ate (all of which was excellent) and beverages we drank, we decided to walk the distance from our room to the restaurant/bar/beach to burn some calories. We walked with small kids (3 & 5) and it was no hassle at all.
I can't compliment service enough. Your personal butler does literally everything. We had Noemio, what a legend. To have dinner in our room was not too much for him, to bring cocktails to us on the beach was not too much for him, high fives to our kids every morning and so much more. All staff were exceptional but also a special mention to Eduardo the beach barman who played music and created such a great atmosphere.
Our 5 day break was exactly what was needed to reset and connect as a family in such a crazy world. I can't compliment this property enough. We went in winter and the weather is just perfect, 17 degrees at night and 28 degrees in the day. We swam in the ocean everyday which was warm. The beaches are endless and the resort provides bicycles to cycle, surf boards for the bodysurfing, buckets and spades for kids etc.

The facility is well maintained, the food and service are also good.
The diving school didn't have its own boat at the time and unfortunately could only plan for us to a limited extent. We would have liked to dive more often. Absolutely INCREDIBLE place! From the moment you drive through the gates, you are treated to every want and need you can think of. White Pearls has thought of it all. The food is incredibly well prepared by all the chefs. I am a lover of food, so the changing menu options at lunch and dinner is always exciting. Breakfast is your usuals that you can expect at a resort of this high standard, with a chefs special every morning. You will never go hungry here, and they have a tea option every day as well as snacks at the bar before dinner time. You get assigned your own butler who to a very large extent tailor makes your trip to suit your desires. This is particularly helpful when you have kids and meal times etc are prepped to suit the family. On this trip Greg was our assigned butler, and he went above and beyond in so many ways! I wish we could take him home ;) Brilliant Greg!!! Januarie was our butler previously, and he too was excellent! As well as Nelson. Lovely destination for families, beach or pools to keep everyone occupied. On arrival, each of our kids got a goodie bag of beach toys, very thoughtful. At night they also get a special story placed on their beds. They offer a baby sitting service so adults can enjoy some alone time whether it be at meals, spa time, or just wanting some down time. Michelle is who we always request and my kids love her. (Her previous teaching experience is a huge plus). This is a destination where you can switch off, enjoy the beauty around you, and not worry about a thing!!!!! We will be back again!

This hidden jewel in the crown of Mozambique was the ideal setting for a much sought after break from reality.
A glimpse at the lap of luxury, an absolute paradise on Earth.
Every facet met, and exceeded my expectations.
The transfer from the SA/Mozambique border was seamless, as was the check-in process.
The staff always made my entire family feel at home, and were always in attendance to make our stay more comfortable, without being intrusive.
The cuisine was excellent, plentiful, and of the highest quality. In addition, when any changes were requested (especially with the kids), the kitchen staff were always accommodating.
The sand and surf was impeccable, as was the swimming pools at the resort.
The activities on offer were also amazing, especially the opportunity to see, and hear, whales up close. A memorable experience that will never be forgotten. The staff at the activity centre were amazing, always happy to assist, and exceptionally good when interacting with the kids. More importantly, we always felt safe in their capable hands.
The room was spacious, beautifully located and always in immaculate condition. The view of the whales and the easy access to the beach made the accommodation even more favourable.
Our vacation was made even more special by the care and attention to detail shown by all of the staff we had the pleasure of encountering. A truly memorable experience, and a location that I would gladly return to, given the opportunity.

What a paradise this resort is. Upon arrival all staff and the GM, Nicholas, came to welcome us . All the staff was friendly and professional upon arrival until we left. luxurious rooms with their breath taking sea view and splash pools. many activities to participate in. Wi-Fi available. Unit 1 - 6 has access straight to the beach. The units layout inside and outside was perfect and the detail of layout was planned very well. Room service with menus with a variety of dishes which was all delicious. We had a butler ( Jonas) that was looking after us from we arrived until we left. He regularly check in with us to hear if we need anything. He was a WhatsApp away if we might have needed his services. Jonas even made contact to hear if we are home safe after we left. We enjoyed our stay and activities at White pearl resort. I definitely recommend the resort to anyone and I will be visiting them again in the near future.

Just back from a week at White Pearl, and wow, what a whale of a time we had! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into paradise. The food? Absolutely pearl-fect! Every meal was like a mini celebration, and I’m now convinced I need a personal chef in my life (one can dream, right?).
The staff? Let's just say, if I could take them home, I would. Every single person was so professional and genuinely ready to help, making us feel like royalty. Whether it was the incredible management team who were always there with a smile, or the fantastic crew making sure we had everything we needed (seriously, they knew what we wanted before we even asked)—we felt truly pampered.
The rooms? Beautiful! Sure, there’s a bit of maintenance happening here and there, but honestly, they’re already on top of it, so I can only imagine how even more stunning it will be when we return. And trust me, we’ll definitely be back.
Oh, and let’s talk about the stars of the show—the whales! We had front-row seats to their daily performance, and let’s just say, they put on a better show than most rockstars.

This is by far one of the finest experiences you can imagine when going on vacations. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the people couldn't be any nicer. My wife and I were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and happened to get the best butler ever, Maria. She exceeded every single expectation we have, always anticipating our needs. She organized a surprise dinner for my wife, had the staff sing us happy anniversary on another night and also a private lunch right on the beach with the table set inside a huge heart drawn on the sand. Our suite with the outdoor shower and plunge pool was fantastic. The SCUBA diving facilities right on the premises was an added bonus as the waters right in front of the resort are full of marine life. Big hello also to Antonio at the reception who was very accommodating with our travel schedule and departure time.

White Pearl Resort offers the best of beach luxury in South Mozambique. We visited White Pearl in Ponta Mamoli in August of 2023, it was an amazing experience. The view from the hotel rooms is extremely nice and the beach is very wide. All the staff was always alert if we needed anything. Being able to have your personal butler is a delightful touch. Our butler Maria, was always helping us and ensured that was had a pleasant stay. All the activities were well planned out. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

I am pretty sure they have kite Surfing, if they don't it is available in Ponto do Ouro not too far down the road.
It is relatively expensive for 4 stars but we found the service and food, drinks plus the experience made up for the difference. . The location and views are 5 star for sure. This is Mozambique and nothing can be perfect however, the staff made sure we were treated more than 5 stars Money well spent !

There is SO much to do! Your boys will love the water sports, horse riding, snorkeling, fishing :)
They will be kept busy and you and your wife can relax at the pool bar!

The night before departure a card is left in room with tipping suggestions I think it was something like $15-20 dollars a day for butler and a similar amount to be shared with all other staff (housekeeping, kitchen staff, bar staff etc.)
