Lovely and relaxing pet friendly Lodge. What an event to swim in the orange river and to enjoy some kayaking. They have an excellent restaurant and peaceful entertainment area with a refreshing swimming pool. Decent size camping areas with clean ablution facilities. We will definitely go back there one day. Friendly Owners and Lovely dogs to make you feel at home.

Family camping trip at one of our favorite spots ORRL never disappoints! Amazing management, clean facilities, newly upgraded beach complete with firepit and shade covered lounge chairs & beds. This was our third trip in 2020 and with each trip we are increasingly impressed with the management and their level of dedication and commitment to the lodge and its guests. Thank you for a great trip!

We just spent 4 wonderful days at ORRL where we felt like we were in a magic bubble away from the city & all the covid madness. The children had a wonderful time swimming & canoeing - a complete technology free getaway in nature which is exactly what we were after. Dirk & Lee-Anne are doing their best under very difficult circumstances & without additional staff, which they definitely need but currently don't have due to the affects of covid on the tourism industry. We travel extensively & feel that the price we paid was in line with what we got (in a waterfront cabin) but I notice that there has been a rather dramatic price hike on the website. In my opinion this new price is much higher than it should be & it's not a price that I would be happy to pay in future & that is very unfortunate as we'd love to go back. This was our 3rd time to the lodge (staying in a waterfront cabin all 3 times) and while there have been some great improvements over the years I do feel that this latest rate hike is over the top & that this will have a negative impact. I think the accommodation rates should be more in line with what they were (especially under the current circumstances where bums in beds is important). The lower rate will minimise complaints (which I fear there will be when people feel like they're paying more than they should be for what they get) & ensure that people are happy to spend extras on drinks, pizzas & activities such as SUP / canoe hire / rafting etc.

This is a great place to get away from the world and to wind down completely. It is an exceptionally well run camp with great management. Dirk & Lee-Anne went out of their way to make our stay great. We will definitely visit again!
