We stayed here for two nights to celebrate a family member’s significant birthday. I spent a lot of time comparing hotels and choosing the right one for us but I left feeling somewhat disappointed given the price of our trip for 4 adults.

Although a pleasant enough hotel we found the service levels disappointing. The reception and concierge staff were not particularly friendly, nor did they go out of their way to be helpful. Just factual. The guys at the front sorting taxis etc were very good though.

Breakfast was disappointing. They ran out of certain food and it was a hectic and busy environment. If you asked for certain things, the response was we don’t have any more left or we’re just about to close service. Not really as customer service focused as I would expect from this class of hotel. Service finished at 1030 but even at 950 fresh fruit salad was gone and particular yoghurts. On our first day, albeit at 1015, we had two croissants between 4 of us.

As I’ve seen on other reviews for Monte Carlo hotels there is no complimentary water for the night so we had to order from room service for two rooms each night, which I would not normally expect.

On the positive side I would highlight a nice ambience and areas to sit, location good, great sea views from balcony, excellent courtesy bus.

We stayed here for a weekend break in early March, after taking the bus from Nice airport, which stopped right outside the hotel.

The weather wasn’t great, it rained for most of the weekend which is a shame.

The hotel checked qr codes for covid passports, although we are both vaccinated, our qr codes weren’t working so they advised us we would need a covid test from a local pharmacy at 25 euros per person which was very straight forward.

The room was a city view which directly faced a building site, not the fault of the hotel but I’d advise to book a sea view room based on this.

The room was pleasant enough, not luxurious but fine nonetheless. The hotel pumps some kind of fragrance through the AC in the hallways, which is lovely.

We were bed and breakfast, there is plenty of choice for breakfast although very busy with not enough waiting staff for volume of guests.

Location wise, it’s not in the most central location, but we enjoy walking so had no issues with walking up to the centre.

I would absolutely stay here again in the future.

We stayed from the 17th to the 22nd July for my birthday and not a single moment was disappointing.
We have stayed at many hotels across the world and this is up there with the best. The room was fabulous, we paid for an upgrade and had a dual aspect view of the sea and hotel... it was breathtaking!
The breakfast was super, the staff great and the location perfect. Variety plenty and omelettes made to your liking! Indoor and outdoor pool clean and comfortable - sand at the bottom a superb touch. Pizzas on the sun lounger feel like heaven. Extremely photographic views from all angles. Room service available within minutes.
Only snag - the Gin Bar. Cramped with local young crowd, accommodating residents becomes secondary and Shisha overpriced.
We would recommend the following: The jet skis (just ask when you get your towels for the pool), the six course Martinique meal and hiring a captain driven yacht/boat (ask at concierge). Hotel is 5 minutes from main Casino square with the fancy cars.
Monte Carlo is great for a couple of days but we needed to explore a bit or else it gets repetitive. So recommend the nearby Cannes, Nice and Italy. The wonderful staff are always keen to give such suggestions so make the effort to ask! Covid19 provisions are commendable - the pleasant security officers will check your temperature (twice if you ask!) and provide masks before allowing you to enter.
All we die with is memories and this is one you'll never forget.

I spent the best part of £200 to have access to the pool for a day for myself and my family.
Firstly to say all the pool attendants were fine and the pool itself was v nice

I found it highly ungenerous given the fee involved that I was unable to use the Sauna without paying an extra fee. This is certainly different to the experience in the Fairmont Monte Carlo as a day guest and my experience at many 5* hotels around the world.

Also, the changing rooms were tiny, the lockers comically small and again the ungenerous theme persists. It is usual in 5* changing rooms to provide amenities such as deodorant, hair products etc

As you can see, they provided nothing other than basic shampoo and soap. It wasn’t a luxury experience in anyway but it came with a luxury price tag. I’m currently staying in a resort in Dubai on the Palm where they constantly top up guests with cold water and the changing rooms in the spa are generous and abundant. This doesn’t compare.

I recently visited the hotel, we had 6 rooms, we stayed 7 nights, apart from the staff being rather rude and unhelpful, the food was sub standard, not what you would expect from a Monte Carlo hotel, it was overpriced, a bottle of mineral water was 8 euros, my grandkids ice cream 7 euros, could be expected if the service was excellent but it was far from that!
Shower leaked in my room, hot water tap blocked on boiling therefor I had to take a shower in the bathtub holding the shower head. I asked the waitress in the breakfast room for a coffee with soya milk, her answer was “ its very difficult because the Batman is busy”.
I shall not be staying there again!

I used to stay there almost every year since they opened. It's a very nice hotel with a great staff. Even now that we had some problems because of the Covid 19, they still delivered a great and friendly job. One of the quickest room service ever. Well done. From the front desk to the cleaners to the waitress, everyone with a nice face very polite and educated way to treat the clients.

The exact score would be 3.5, we have come to the Monte Carlo Bay 3 times and we have noticed a deterioration in the level of services.

+ the location of the hotel, its swimming pool, its restaurant l'orange verte as well as the bar, the restaurant and breakfast staff (nice breakfast), the valet parking and the concierges
The sea view from our room

- The cold welcome which gives the impression of looking down on people
- Night service non-existent
- Early check-in (for SBM members), we ask for your arrival time (9:30 a.m.) to have our room at 2 p.m.! However, we offer you another room for €290/day extra for midday, basically we can manage to give you another room, more expensive, but the one you reserved will have to wait 👍
Not very professional for a 4* hotel in Monaco,
It's a shame, our previous visits were much better, I have the impression that the hotel is resting on its achievements.
I will return to the Paris hotel next time, not necessarily more expensive (depending on the season) but impeccable.

We have stayed here twice before with excellent service on both occasions. Each and every staff member greeted us with a smile or a 'Good Morning'. One of the evenings we went to L'Orange Verte for dinner 10 minutes before closing time which we didn't realise but they still accommodated us for a 3 course meal. Highlights were the pool with the sand at the bottom and beautifully landscaped surroundings, the amazing balcony sea views from the hotel and the seat in the lift! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The indoor pool, gym and other amenities were also pleasant. Even the valet staff were impeccable. So much attention to detail in this lovely quirky hotel. If i am being fussy i would just say i would like to have a little more selection at breakfast. Will definitely be coming back here on our next visit :) thank you

I usually stay at The Beach Plaza but this year thought I'd try the Monte Carlo Bay and I am very pleased that I did- it is leagues above in every way other than it hasn't got a beach. The rooms are a really good size with decent balconies and are well appointed, comfortable and quiet. I was at the side with a view over the sea and it was lovely in the morning. I would suggest breakfast would be great there except you would then miss out on the excellent breakfast buffet which is well worth a go!! The swimming pool is fantastic with sand on the bottom which is a little weird but works- if you're a serious swimmer you have to go to the sea which isn't a problem as there is access by the side of the hotel. Lunch and dinners are all good too and prices aren't as spiteful as some in Monte Carlo.

Stayed here for 5 days. 4 adults and 2 children.Everything was perfect.
All check in and concierge staff so helpful, room clean and tidy with a great view over the sea.
Breakfast was truly excellent with an amazing selection and attentive staff.
The crew running the pool areas ( lifeguards and drink/food team) we’re just so efficient and polite.
Even when large numbers of guests were attempting to find a taxi the team kept calm and managed to sort everyone out.

All in all very impressed with the Monte Carlo Bay. Could be classed as 5 Star in my eyes.
I would love to return.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your upcoming visit and for the trust you lace in us. The hotel has a large swimming pool (inside and outside) which is heated between 28,5°C and 29°C (opening schedule: from 07:00am until 08:00pm). In your room, you will find a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. We propose also a minibar, which is not a fridge as the temperature is higher than a fridge.
