A 300 year old cider farm set in a peaceful location with views over the Herefordshire countryside yet only two miles from Ross on Wye, close to the Forest of Dean and easy travelling to Ledbury/ Monmouth and an easy drive to the Cotswolds. You can walk to the village pub through our orchards (which are particularly lovely during blossom time in the spring and late summer/autumn with the ripening apples) and there are many varied eating places nearby. We take pets by arrangement - ask for our "house rules" - which are very straightforward but have been made unfortunately necessary by some past experiences of thoughtless guests. We make no charge for pets.

Just spent a long weekend here and weren't disappointed.

Covid wise, we felt completely safe, with our temperature taken on arrival, plenty of sanitiser and wipes dotted around, and breakfast sittings staggered.

Firstly the location is stunning amongst the orchards, and just a short walk through the orchards to the Yew Tree Inn for plenty of cider which we love ;) And the walk back to the farmhouse is just so peaceful you can't help but relax and unwind. The farmhouse is cosy and welcoming as are John and Hilary. Our room had everything we needed, a super comfy bed and even a little fridge which was handy for storing the fresh milk provided and the odd bottle of cider we bought. As for breakfast, we can honestly say it's one of the best breakfasts we've ever had with plenty on offer and the cooked breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. We didn't want to leave and look forward to returning:)

We had such a great three night stay at Broome Farmhouse - what a fabulous B&B. The owners John and Hilary were very welcoming and kind. There are many positives to highlight about our stay: the breakfast is absolutely first class. Hilary makes the best fry up (other options also available) and there’s a great selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast as well as home made cider marmalade (I bought 5 jars...). The bed is super comfy and we slept so well. The B&B is in a good location - being surrounded by the cider farm means it’s really quiet and it’s a short drive into Ross on Wye. One evening we sat in the garden and ate Hilary’s delicious cider cake and had some of the cider from the farm whilst the sun set. Perfect. We would definitely return and it’s incredible value for such a lovely place

After being on Covid lockdown and all of our previous holiday plans being postponed or cancelled entirely, we were in dire need of a couple of nights away from home, to see somewhere different, getting some country fresh air, but to remain safe.
We opted to travel not too far and Ross-On-Wye was on our chosen list having camped with friends around there many years back.
We specifically wanted to take our dog, so we were pleased to find this little hidden treasure within our options.
The farmhouse is adorable, full of antiques, period furnishings and fittings and olde worlde atmosphere.
John and Hilary are friendly and professional. Breakfast on both mornings was wonderful. All fresh and quality food. We also had a welcome of afternoon tea with homemade cider cake on our arrival.
Everything was thought of with Covid measures; temperatures taken on arrival, hand sanitizers and breakfasts were staggered to avoid too much contact.
Places to eat and drink were also recommended by John and n conclusion we would be happy to return.

An excellent location for a rural retreat. John and Hilary went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after, making for a fabulous mini break in the area. Breakfast was delicious!
The hotel was completely Covid safe with temperature checks on arrival, staggered breakfast times and hand sanitiser available for use.
The location of the hotel is stunning, set in the countryside, with the orchards all around, and alpacas to greet you in their field as you drive up! Would highly recommend Broome Farmhouse and will definitely be back to stay next year. Thanks John and Hilary for making our stay so special.

Broome Farm is a quiet rural retreat yet close enough to drive to so many locations.
John & Hilary were fabulous, welcoming hosts.
The room was spotlessly clean. The small touch of fresh ‘proper’ milk in the room, complimentary local cider & delicious homemade cider cake in the room where a great treat.
Breakfast was well organised with allocation of times to ensure social distancing was adhered to. There was a huge variety available and any personal requests were accommodated.
There is a Broom Cupboard available for locals and guests up purchase homemade goodies.

A great location, great accommodation, great service.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the Cider Suite which was a lovely room with a spacious en suite bathroom and a comfortable bed. The suite was well equipped and we enjoyed lovely cider and cider cake (along with milk and water) in the fridge. The farm is set in peaceful, beautiful countryside and a great location for exploring the local area. Best of all was the warm hospitality and lovely breakfasts - fresh fruit, cereal, fruit juice, and a big hearty full English breakfast with tea, coffee toast and jam (the second day we opted for scrambled egg and smoked salmon). We would highly recommend a stay here and will certainly go back when the apple blossom is in bloom!

We spent a couple of nights in the Cider Suite recently and had a really lovely time there. John and Hilary were welcoming hosts and were helpful about the area and where to go. Cider Suite with en-suite spacious bathroom was very attractive and comfortable. A very nice touch was their fridge cold cider and cider cake to welcome us, which was delicious and very much needed after our 4 hour drive from Yorkshire! Breakfast was top quality and cooked beautifully. All in all we would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a couple with our dog. We had the Orchard Suite which was spacious with a separate lounge, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and lots of thought had clearly gone into equipping the room which had toiletries, kitchen equipment and plenty of space to sit and sleep. The outside space is beautiful - it’s down a quiet lane and set amongst sheep fields and acres of cider orchards. Walking the dog was an absolute pleasure. Breakfast was very impressive with lots of choice from cereals, fruit and cooked options all made fresh for you when you have made your choice. The owners are lovely and so friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to help us and make our stay as good as possible. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed for four nights during a hectic half term break. Stying in the junior suite with it's own separate entrance, it ws, simply divine. Compleet with fridge, ( stocked with milk, water, cider and Ciderapple cake )cooker hob and microwave so completlely self contained, with the addition of the best breakfast I have ever eaten! The choice was superb, from the basic cereals, to the huge bowl of fresh strawberries and Blueberries, accompanied by various yoghurts, plus apple or orange juice, to a simply huge full english breakfast ( you are certainly 'full' afterwards!) as well as 'Plenty of toast together with homemade Jam and Marmalade washed down with tea and coffee, all set you up for a day of exploring the lovely countryside afterwards! A brisk walk through the apple orchrd with our dog took us past sheep, Alpacas and pheasants, while the sweet aroma of the cider apples was everywhere. A place to keep coming back to. Thank you Hilary for treating us so well

Lovely old traditional family farmhouse set in 55 acres of orchards. We were made very welcome by John and Hilary and slept very well in the incredibly comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, they had thought of everything and we were even offered yummy cider and homemade cider cake, a lovely touch. Great that it’s dog friendly too.
