Just returned from 3 nights at MBL following a Tauck tour in SA. This place is a 1+ hour boat transfer from Maputo but you arrive in a truly spectacular natural beach setting on the Indian Ocean. The rooms are clean and well tended to...More

Fantastic venue and location. Staff really attentive. Good WiFi. The location is very remote and close to Inhaca Island. Beach, snorkeling, lots and lots of fishing. Hotel boats are available for trips and adventure.
The lodge and facilities were great, breath-taking views and very calm, warm sea water.
We simply loved everything at Machangulo Beach Lodge. The staff was very helpful and made the stay an unbelievable one. Prawns, barracuda, calamari were on on the menu, I love seafood!!!!!...More

Hi, you can snorkel right in front of the lodge and get the equipment for free. Its good but currents are very strong. The better snorkeling is at the Inhaca Nature Reserve which is just a five minutes boat ride over the bay. The whole trip there for about 2 hours is 20 dollars for the boat. They also take you there for that prize if you are the only one. So worth it.
Only water, open juices and self-made lemonade are included, and coffee and tea during the day, but no bottled or canned drinks.
Its fullboard plus and not all inclusive.

We did not see anyone launch a jet ski from the lodge but jet ski's were being used around the bay so I am sure they could organise for you. The water in front of the lodge is not suitable for jet skiing because of the reef but saw people jet skiing down by the village which is a 5 minute walk down the beach. Hope this helps.
