We had a family holiday during April 2017 at Machangulo Lodge. The staff were amazing - so hospitable and accommodating ! The place was very peaceful and relaxing ! We loved our stay ! The sea, forest and peace in one place ! Wow ! I have teenage kids and the internet access was an unexpected bonus !

Located just one hour and a half by speed boat from Maputo, the "Machangulo Beach Lodge" is a little paradise overlooking a golden sand beach, surrounded by luxurious vegetation and varied fauna that almost makes us feel in the jungle. Relatively small, as I like, the resort has some villas over the beach and 5 luxurious rooms/lodges on the hill...

We came here with our family and friends for five days and really enjoyed our stay. We had a family villa which was very spacious and private. The lodge is situated on the northernmost cape of Machangulo peninsula, within a coastal bush/forest and on several levels of altitude; the whole lodge has a quite generous lay-out. It's nature and not...

We had a wonderful stay at the Machangulo Beach Lodge as the final leg of a trip to South Africa. I am so glad we added Mozambique to our trip! MBL is in a beautiful, remote setting. The resort is nestled in the hillside and the guest rooms offer private, secluded spaces. The rooms are tastefully appointed and comfortable. We...

My first experience in Mozambique and it was incredible. We were transported on a speedboat from Maputo to Machangulo Beach Lodge. It was a little bumpy but it's in no one's control how bumpy the sea is. The speedboat trip was exciting, we took a loop along the island and were shown some of the different types of bird species...

Ok so let's set things straight, that I've travelled to Mauritius, Seychelles and have stayed at many 5 star resorts, however Machangulo's Beach Resort will rank with the top hotels in the Indian Ocean. The resort is in a beautiful condition and the family rooms is more than adequate especially no 14 and 15, with the best ocean views and...

We stayed 3 nights in October, unfortunately we did not have great weather however we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were picked up at Maputo in a new two day old speed boat and transported to the island. It was a little rough when we left Maputo however we were kept dry and our boat driver and his assistant...

We stayed at Machangulo for a week in October and had a fabulous time in the most amazing setting. The lodge is perched on top of a sand dune at Hell's Gate and the views and walks down the deserted beach are just perfect! The boat ride over was smooth, although the landing was pretty rough it being a very...
