Villa Ukuthula is a beautifully appointed villa that offers a very private, peaceful stay. The staff at the villa are just exceptional - from the housekeeping staff to the chefs - they know how to make your stay a memorable one. Every meal was beautifully presented and served with care and attention. If you are looking for a luxury relaxing break, you won't be disappointed. There are a few ways to get there - selfdrive through the Special Reserve, by boat from Maputo or short chartered flight. Either way, once you get there you will find yourself in the most pristine location with unforgettable views.

With the family we stayed 2 weeks at Villa Ukuthula. It was an amazing experience. The main house and guest houses are very well positioned, rooms are specious, clean and nicely decorated. Beds are excellent. The views over the Indian Ocean are spectacular. During our visit we saw about 25 whales swimming by, some jumping out of the water! And the miles of empty beaches are great for an early morning walk during sunrise. The boys jogged several time from the house to Santa Maria (approx 1,5 hours) over the beach. The icing on the cake was the staff at Ukuthula; professional and very friendly. Excellent chef who prepared superb 3 course dinners and snacks for the trips. He also prepared very nice samosas with the wacht we cashed. The sashimi he prepared from the yellow fin tuna we caught was the best we ever had, so fresh and tasty. The local manager was very handy and helpful with arranging all your needs ranging from petrol for the 4x4, special food and beverage wishes and excursions like snorkelling, deep sea fishing and 2 day trip to Inhaca Island. This was a location and experience we will never forget.…

Excellent location, just beside the indic ocean, with a clean and beautiful beach, with almost no one there. The chef is very good, preparing every meal as you like. The owners make you feel at home, and are always present to help and guide.

It's taken me a while to write this review mainly because I can't find the words to do this place justice! Absolutely everything about my stay there was beyond excellent. I can't remember when I've left somewhere feeling so relaxed, at peace and recharged. The owners are incredibly warm and genuinely caring people who made me feel so at home from the moment that I arrived. And, this is a sentiment that they also extended to their staff and to the local community as well. The food is 5-star resort amazing! The wonderful chef creates beautiful presentations and accommodated my dietary requests. The villa itself is so beautiful, set amidst lush vegetation in a fairy tale like setting, with panoramic views of the ocean from every room. I was even able to see whales from my bedroom! I can't recommend this place enough, it's the perfect getaway for friends, couples, groups if you want to relax in uniquely beautiful and private surroundings.…

A very special private villa perched above the incredible expanse of stunning beach and wonderful Indian Ocean. Wonderful hospitality from Luca & Wesley and all the staff. Delicious fresh fish dinners & lunches from their super cook including homemade bread and muffins each morning.... a very very special place & we felt utterly spoilt by our hosts and their team. A really spoiling treat.

I almost didn’t want to write a review, so I could keep this place to myself!!! However, the owners/manages are so wonderful I want to spread the word. Although it is hard to get to, this place is spectacular. We stayed in the ocean rooms and had a huge, private deck overlooking the sea. The rooms are huge, nicely decorated, immaculately clean and so comfortable. Views from all locations are lovely and there are so many nice spots to sit and relax. The rate may seem high, but it includes all food, which is made just for you and absolutely delicious! I cannot rave enough about this wonderful place, it was like staying with a dear friend, who just pampered and looked after me. Even their dogs are lovely company. If you are doing a short trip to MAPUTO and only have time for a short break... come here!!! I can’t wait to get back.…
