Excellent first time safari experience, we all had the best time, A massive shout out to Charl for making our experience the best , he certainly was the best guide so request him to drive you if you’re going . Accommodation was lovely, and the food was lovely too as were all the restaurant staff . Management were amazing especially Chantelle who went above and beyond to sort out everything for us .

This was an extraordinary experience. I travelled through Saga with other solo travellers. We had a warm welcome and introduction by the staff at Mabula who provided drinks and snacks while giving us a few protocols that should be followed, all very good advice. My room was comfortable and clean with fresh water supplied daily. The food was fantastic and I always found something delicious to eat. The game drives were amazing and a big shout out to Frans our guide who with his knowledge and patience truly made this a fascinating experience that I will never forget. Also a shout out to Ben for taking the Bush walk again a truly unique experience for me. Highly recommend.

What an amazing place and one of the best experiences of our lives. The lodges were spacious and very comfortable. Not one negative thing to say and no improvement to suggest. Safaris and bush walks were wonderful thanks to Alexander and Ben. We felt safe in their company and appreciated their knowledge and expertise. Thank you so very much.

With temperatures in the 90’s- 100 we were put in a cabin with only a broken fan to cool it. After numerous trips to reception and phone calls we were finally offered a different room the second day, but long after we were already in bed sleeping and with no offer to help us find the cabin in a very dark, unlite resort.

Brilliant stay for our exclusive use conference. The staff were incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs ahead of time and were always pleasant. Would recommend for small business conferences or a group of families wanting some relaxing time in the bush.

Amazing, magical, spectacular. Thanks to the guides, drivers, restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff. Truly the holiday of a lifetime. Clean, comfortable accommodation which is attended to 2-3 times a day. Superb selection of food in the restaurant at all 3 main meals + afternoon tea. Amazing chances to see rare and endangered creatures at a very close distance. Thanks Jimmy and Loewe.

We had the most amazing time at Mabula Game Lodge. We travelled as a family of 4 with a 13 and 11 year old. We had 2 wonderful rooms and every need we had was catered for. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate the kids and make it a magical holiday. The safari was amazing and the experiences like horse riding, massages, quad biking were 10 out of 10. The elephant experience was out of this world and totally unmissable. The facilities in the lodge were great, the kids loved the pool and courts. The animals in the lodge itself gave us hours of entertainment especially the monkeys. The rooms were lovely, the beds were comfy and it was really clean and safe. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Nadine, Martha and Lizzie were great answering all the questions we had and booking our experiences. Elizabeth and John in the restaurant were great and attentive beyond what was expected. We had a wonderful holiday with so many amazing memories made. We would return in a heart beat.

FABULOUS!!! Mabula was everything and more. From the moment we stepped out of our bus, we felt welcome. The room was large and beautiful. The food was good with a large variety. The animals were the best part! Our guide was Tiaan. He was the BEST!!! He knew everything about the animals and he made our game drives so much fun! He wanted us to see as much as possible and that's what we did. I highly recommend staying at Mabula.

Very good safari week. Food was good, staff were good, the safari guides were excellent especially Mashudu. Rooms were clean and the grounds were always being cleaned. I am in two minds about the way the animals in the reserve were managed. I can see why the number of elephants are kept to 5 or 6 as they are so destructive with the trees, I saw what they did in Kenya when unchecked, but giving them contraceptives to prevent more births gives the "safari" aspect a bit of a contrived feel. Better than culling I suppose. If this is the first safari holiday you have ever done it is good.

We had a wonderful time at Mabula Lodge, having booked through Saga we arrived and were greeted by smiling faces and lovely lemon water hand greeting. After getting to our room our suitcases arrived as if by magic as we had not had to say which were our cases, very impressive. After a 4.30am start we did our first of many SAFARI drives with Adelaide and saw just about every animal there was to see and thanks to Adelaides knowledge we came away a lot wiser about the local flora and fauna. The food was excellent especially the freshly cooked eggs and home made bread we had at breakfast. Lizzy was on hand everyday touching base with us to check we were enjoying our stay and keeping us informed of cocktail parties etc. Sitting by the pond and watching all the birds and occasional monkey and other animal visitors was really relaxing between safaris. We booked the night time SAFARI hoping to see the nocturnal animals and although We didn't see everything we did see a bushbaby or two and an Aardwolf several Jackals and a Brown Hyena. We would definitely book again. Overall this was one of the best holidays we have had and we have lots of really good photos to show our friends.
