If you haven't been to Radda, you're in for a treat: a medieval town that sits high in the hills with views of vineyards and olive groves for days, plus several lovely restaurants and cafes and gelaterias. We enjoyed staying in this little hotel this fall, and particularly enjoye

We stayed for three nights at this lovely hotel in Radda. Very friendly staff at both the Front Desk and Bar. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Particularly liked the fresh squeezed orange juice each morning. And, the view from the restaurant was amazing..

Horrible beds for a “deluxe” room. Hard foam mattresses with flat, hard pillows. Stains in the very old carpeting. Someone’s old socks in our closet. Wonderful staff, great location, but far from previous luxury hotel experiences in the area. Dining was delicious, although our wa

What you are paying for in this hotel is a pretty location/view and breakfast. If you have any mobility issues, forget it. Elevator goes only to one floor. You have to walk up several flights to other rooms. The worst is that you have to lock yourself in your room and of course w

Dear Guest, Yes, you are right. Our Relais is an old Villa of 18° century, full of charme and it has been possible to place only one elevator. We thank you for your advice about locking yourself in your room and we will try during the winter to change improving our closing system of the doors. We are very sorry and quite surprise about the cleaning of the rooms; we are in the country and if you left the window open…. . Please, accept our excuses. We are hoping to see you in the future and a very nice meal will be offered to you in our Restaurant. Thank you and Best regards, Serena Pagliantini

1my wife has trouble with stairs. is this a suitable hotel for that? 2 how far and travel time to florence airport 3 if we use the airport shuttle are cars available in radda and will the shuttle get us to the airport for a 7AM flight?
Dear Sir, First of all we want to thank you for your interest shown in our Relais Vignale. Following your kind request, I inform you that all our Superior rooms are located in the Annex across the street, with valley view and are reachable by some stairs. In case you decide to visit us, I suggest you to book or a classic double room or a deluxe double room, both located in the Main building on the First floor and reachable by elevator. Also, I want to inform you that the pool, the Restaurant and the breakfast room are reachable by some stairs. we inform you that the best way to get to Relais Vignale and visit the Chianti area is to rent a car. You can rent a car at Florence airport, no rent car in Radda. Florence Airport - relais Vignale, will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We remain at your disposal for any further assistance you might require, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you and Best regards. Serena - Front Office Dept.

What vendor do you use for travel agents?
A private company - Plan-IT Italy. Vince Graziano from West Chester PA booked us. He has a partner in Rome - Massimo. Private drivers and tour guides (fast pass to venues). Wonderful treatment. My sister booked with Plan-IT Italy on two visits to Italy. I wouldn't use anyone else. I have no financial interest or family ownership interest in Plan-It Italy.
