Angaga island is really nice place. You will enjoy calm atmosphere and stay away from your busy days. Many water activities are available on site but ofcourse it depends on the weather. We spent few times snorkel on the island with few baby shark around us. it was really nice experiences. If you like snorkel then it is recommended to go slightly in the middle of Indian ocean with Angaga staff. A bit dissapointed when we couldn't see soft coral with soft tentacle, most of the reef here are hard coral. The staff are nice and very helpful. Overall we are happy to spent our break time on this island. …
Still polution due to hotel management - plastic bags against erosion does not work I like Angaga but i hate the broken plastic bags in the new corals. The fight against the erosion with plastic sand bags doesn't work - they do not last long and sand runs out and the plastic into the ocean Stop that …
Beautiful island. But! Food are so-so, my friend had seriously stomachache 5 days. Service are so-so, ex., you can wait waiter in a bar half an hour and it's normal. Boring, especially in the evenings. And the main thing! The roomboy have stolen money from our house! And as I know now from internet it's normally as well, even from safebox. Be careful with your belongues. Strongly not recommend. …
We made a booking with Angaga Island in April and told them that we were interested in snorkelling with the whale sharks. In a follow-up email I asked if they could please advise the cost of Whale Shark tours. They duly did and said that they have whale shark excursions at $76 per person only on Thursdays and Sundays. I realised fairly quickly that we were actually not booked for either of those two days only staying on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we could do neither of these trips. I told them that I found it rather sad that we not see the Whale Sharks and asked if there was anyone who could take us out on a private basis. Their response was that they could arrange a private boat hire trip depending on availability and that they would know the boat schedule just one day prior in the evening. They further advised that they charged USD 310.00 per hour for the private boat hire. The minimum time needed for a whale shark trip was about 4 hours. At $1240 this was totally unrealistic for two people. So I decided to think laterally and found a boat from another island. They would pick us up and take us to see the whale sharks for $320 total (including the pick-up speed boat). I asked them if we should notify reception at Angaga Island about them coming to pick us up and if it could be a problem. The boat owner didn't think so. Angaga's response was that they were sorry to inform us that they could not allow another company to take in-house guests out for an excursion. The intention of going to South Ari was to see the Whale Sharks. If it was not possible to see them at South Ari, then there was no point in going to South Ari. So, we duly cancelled this resort. He didn’t deserve our patronage. And where we’re going seems to me to have a lot more soul. Sadly we won’t see the Whale Sharks up in Baa Atoll, but we need to relax anyway.…
Second time we were on this beautiful small island. Not the last time! From first moment on we felt like coming home. Unbelivable colours, kind staff, relaxing atmosphere. Had beachbungalows on the lagoon-side...beautiful sunsets. Bungalows, Restaurant, Bars...couldn‘t be better (only more currys would be nice). Thanks to the unforgettable staff!!! Our holiday wouldn’t have been the same without them, Roomboy Kali did his best. Room always clean and he was so kind! Thank you Kali! The boys in the bar...Shah, Shafix, Fayax...loved them all. Thank you for the music, perfect service and for the relaxing hours in the bar. Yasin, so friendly...never forget him. And at last special thanks to our waiter Ahmed Ihshad. His Smile brought us the sun even if the sky was grey. Smiling, attentively, no wish we had to tell him twice. Miss them all and beloved Angaga!…
