Our 3 night stay at Chinderera was magical and well worth the drive - it really felt like getting off grid to an unspoilt corner of South Africa. The meals were creative and delicious. Be prepared for plenty of walking - the long day outings with local guides to see wildlife and

Bill and Pam opened Chinderera 2 years ago and made this place simply amazing and authentic! Bill built the eco lodge as well as all the furnitures himself and with great taste, decorating the place with items brought back from its travels throughout all corners of Africa.

I found this lodge to be well situated in a very quiet and relaxing spot. If you want to get away from it all and be one with nature this is the place. Room was lovely and really enjoyed outside shower. Kosi Bay lovely like you have gone back in time with the fish kraals.

Hi, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes you can reach our forest lodge in a normal car as the sand roads are well used. Yes permits are required for entry ( current rate of R55 pp ) as the area falls under Isimagalisio which is a world heritage site. No lodges are near the beach as this is a marine park. We organize transfers to the various beaches and lakes although some do not need a permit. The snorkeling is some of the best along this coast line, and we have some of the best Turtle breeding beaches along the Elephant coast. Hiking, kayaking and boating are just some of the many activities on offer. As we are only a small exclusive lodge we only have two units Lualaba (with shower and outdoor boma bath) is R4500 per couple and Rufiji indoor out door shower only is R4000 per couple these rates include all meals and drinks ( excluding alcohol ) Our menu is Afro fusion showcasing dishes from all over the African continent. If you have any more questions re tours please do not hesitate to contact me. Kind regards Bill / Chinderera team
