We stayed here to trial the hotel ahead of 60 of us coming in May 2022 to our wedding and we were so relieved that the hotel is as good as it is. The location is right on the beach, the swim up bar is great and the service was very quick even when the hotel got busier. Meal times, breakfast was brilliant, and lunch/dinner whilst the food isn't amazing it is good enough, lots of selection and choices for everyone! The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels daily, and the harbour is only a 30 minute walk away, although the hotel has its own taxis on the front ready to take you anywhere at competitive prices. Really looking forward to returning in May 2022 with our family and friends. Thankyou Cypria Bay for a lovely stay!

We keep coming back to this beautiful hotel year after year as it never disappoints.
We have been coming to this hotel twice a year since 2016 and also had our wedding here with all the family in 2017.
Due to the pandemic we hadn’t been here since 2019 but were so excited to be able to visit again in September 2021. As usual we were greeted with a very warm welcome by the reception staff, especially Olga, she is always so pleasant. We chose a sea view room as we do like to sit on the balcony in the evening before we go to dinner.
The hotel as always is exceptionally clean & our room was too. The food in this hotel is always fantastic with plenty of choice at Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. I do at this point have to mention some particular staff who seem to go out of their way to accommodate us, Maria who we normally see at Breakfast is always so pleasant and looks after us so well as does the restaurant manager who’s name escapes me but she works tirelessly and always gives us a warm welcome. There is also Stasha in the restaurant who is so extremely pleasant and always has the biggest smile & kind words for all the guests.
We also love to see Jack & John who are managers in the hotel, lovely gentlemen who take the time to speak to us and we have a catch up.
The pool bar staff are great too, I’m particular this year there was a lad called Nick who always had a smile on his face and was really pleasant.
In regard to the pool, it is so nice to see when you’re sitting on your balcony in the morning, the hard work which is put in to keep the pool area clean & hazard free, the cleaners work very hard. Eddie who looks after the pool works hard too, ensuring the pool is kept clean, he was also painting, helping the younger staff to ensure sun beds & umbrellas were tidied correctly and he always gives us the time of day for a chat.
The staff in the lobby bar of the hotel were lovely too, in particular Isco & a lady called Anna, so polite and accommodating.
The entertainment we felt was better this year where they had a Father & Daughter singing on a couple of evenings …. They were great and got guests involved, very good. There was also a musician who played the guitar & sung, very good.
We had a small issue with a drawer in our room, reported it to reception and the maintenance team addressed it straight away.
This hotel ticks all the boxes for us, the cleanliness, the friendly welcome of the lovely staff, amazing choice & quality of the food, plenty of sun beds with fresh towels, nice rooms.
We can’t wait to go back ….. Thank you Leonardo Cypria Bay xxxxx

Stayed the first week in October 21…. Weather fantastic. We stayed on the 4th floor with a sea view ( definitely worth the upgrade ) room gorgeous, walk in clear glass shower room, toiletries replenished daily, all plug sockets 3 pin so no need to take adaptors. There are fluffy robes & slippers in the wardrobe, beds were very comfortable. Pool towels available for a €10 deposit, you can change them as often as you need. The hairdryer was great. Towels in the bathrooms were changed daily. There’s a fridge in yr room, you do only get 1 bottle of water on arrival but you can fill it up in the restaurant. There’s a kettle, I’d recommend taking yr fave coffee/ tea if you like a brew. There is a courtesy room for yr last day which is free of charge with a 45 min slot, (after seeing the ground floor room, so glad we had upgraded), you can keep your room on until 6 for €70. There were plenty of sun beds most of them had umberellas. The towels were on directly in front of the pool by 7.30… we liked to stay down by the sea front, always lots there and there was also a very welcome breeze, you can’t access the sea outside the hotel but if you turn right, the sister hotel is there and that has a small beach where you can walk into the sea, there is also water sports there. The drinks were ok, definitely no short measures, this could explain why in the jacuzzi ( attached to the pool bar), it was like a 18-30’s party, most people in there appeared drunk by 4. As for the food, can’t fault it, I loved the salads. There is a pizza bar where they are freshly cooked constantly, absoulutely gorgeous.. plenty of choice through out, not always hot though, I would have used a microwave a few times had there been one. The wine is palatable in the restaurant which was a bonus. The snack bar is the best one I have ever been too, normally it consists of left overs and cold food….not this one, there are chefs behind the counter, constantly replenishing the food, fresh pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, boxed salads, cooked pastas….all sorts. 10/10 you could fill up your drinks in there too, save you waiting at the pool bar. Evening entertainment outside was hit and miss ( singers) didn’t see the children’s one which was inside. You can hire a push bike for €10 each for 24 hrs…..All in all, we had a great holiday and would definitely return.. we walked down to pathos harbour a couple of times which took about 45 minutes and booked onto the evening AI firework cruise ship, that was a brilliant night that I would recommend, it also does day ones which you can hear the DJ music as it’s sailing back.
Thank you to every one at the Cypria Bay Hotel for a fabulous holiday 🥰

Came here with my girlfriend for 7 nights and had a lovely time. The hotel is right on the seafront which was really nice. There isn’t much of a beach right outside the hotel but you can walk either left or right 5 minutes to an actual beach. There is a watersports right outside the hotel, but if you walk a bit further down there is one called Octopus watersports who are a bit cheaper and is also tan by Stavros Flatley!

We had a limited sea view room (2022) which was very big which was nice. The TV can be a bit temperamental when watching some channels, and the shower floor needs looking at as when you stand on it it makes a very loud noise and sounds like you will fall through it.

When we arrived we were greeted by champagne which was a nice touch. Reception were very helpful, you do have to pay €3 a day for the safe in your room.

The bars are usually well staffed, the pool bar is lovely and has a swim up bar. We thought the drinks were quite strong even though the spirits being used for our drinks were local brands. You can buy premium drinks or you can upgrade your all inclusive to get those drinks included - that costs €15 a day per person.

The food in the main restaurant is nice, we found there was different food every night which was nice, however it’s not the biggest buffet. Their are 2 a la carte restaurants as well, one American and one Greek.

The main disappointment for us was the Greek a la carte restaurant (we weren’t able to book the American one as it was fully booked). Our booking was at 8.30pm and it felt like the staff were more bothered about cleaning up so they can go home earlier rather than serving. We were given a shot of alcohol before we were seating and then when seating we were given the menu and were told that you don’t pick anything off the menu but they bring you a bit of everything which we thought was very strange. The food was all very bland and dry and felt like it had been sitting around for a long time before it got to our table. Also, the staff weren’t very bothered about getting us drinks. The a la carte restaurant is in the same place as the snack bar and there were drinks machines on the side that we could go to but the staff said no they get the drinks for you. But when you are waiting 10 minutes for someone to ask what you want to drink it’s quite frustrating and I would’ve rather got my own drinks.

Overall it’s a lovely hotel and we would come again. We were a bit concerned about the reviews saying the hotel isn’t clean but we didn’t have an issue with the cleanliness at all. The rooms were done up and cleaned every day by the maids and there wasn’t much rubbish about. The pool bar does use a lot of single use plastic cups however. Surely makes more sense to use reusable plastic cups as that’s a lot of plastic use!

Just came back from a 10 day stay here and I can honestly say I throughly enjoyed it.

Welcoming check in and the front desk and porters were really polite and helpful.

Rooms were lovely and cleaned everyday by the cleaners with fresh towels daily. We stayed in 2068 and the only downfall was it was back onto the lobby bar which stays open till 1am so if your are a light sleeper ask for a room that doesn’t over look the lobby bar as it gets very noisy.

Pool and sunlounge area is lovely and very relaxing, never had issues getting sun loungers for the whole stay as there was plenty. Pool was perfect and the water sports that the entertainment team run was great Sams entertainment staff were very friendly and up for a laugh.

Pool bar and lobby was great also with plenty of drink selection, one thing I will say it’s worth upgraded your drinks package like we did as there’s so much more selection, and if you are wanting good cocktails then use the lobby bar as they tasted so much nice their.

Food you had the main kitchen for breakfast which you couldn’t go wrong with, lunch was ok but we didn’t eat much in there as we used the snack bar throughout the day which served burgers, hotdogs, pizza, multiple pasta dishes, Greek kebabs, cold sandwiches, salads and deserts. Evening meal was ok and tasted great my only downfall is they seemed youse cheap meat on the bone in dishes, for example chicken curry was with chicken on the bone one night and for me they should be chicken breast but again it’s a minor complaint, other than that the food was of a good standard.

Can’t really comment on the entertainment at night as most nights we went out for drinks late in evening but from speaking to other guests we meet they said it was good.

Location is great and the water park is a 15 mins walk, Paphos is a 40 min walk along the beach front or a taxi for 10 euro, after a few days once we found out we started getting on the local bus service and for 2 euros you could be at Paphos harbour or 5 euro for a day ticket which we used to travel to old town and kings mall.

Overall I have gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and that’s based on the room being noisy next to lobby bar and the food at evening meal but I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I would like to thank all the staff at the leonardo for a fantastic stay.

All the best

Andrew & Emma

We have just returned from a week stay at this lovely hotel, we booked this all inclusive hotel knowing we were going to dine out each evening in the local restaurants. I can honestly say the hotel cannot be faulted, every member of staff we met from the reception to the bar staff were cheer full and only to pleased to help. The room we stayed in was modern and clean and the maids were in each day to clean through and change the towels even making swan and rose shapes from towels left on the bed. The food was the same each day for breakfast and also in the lunch time snack bar but with so much variety we did not find this to be a problem. I can't comment on the evening food available as we ate out. The pool area is lovely and yes it does have a couple of very small patches of paint missing from the concrete under the water as you enter the pool but in order to fix this you would have to drain down the water which obviously they cannot do mid season. There are dozens of spare sun beds available any time of the day so no need to get up early and reserve them. If you want an all inclusive hotel and accept what this comes with such as catering for hundreds of guests at any one time then you wont go wrong with this hotel. Some of the guests fail to tidy up after themselves but the hotel staff are constantly walking around clearing up after them. I would have no hesitation returning to this hotel.

This was a family holiday to celebrate my husband's birthday consisting of us, our two daughters, daughter's partner and grandchildren aged one and three.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with everything. The hotel looks modern and clean and staff were very helpful. I had upgraded us to a sea view room and the room looked out onto an amazing swimming pool/garden area as well as the stunning ocean. The room was lovely and must have been updated recently as it all seemed very new.

We were all inclusive and found the food to be good for all of us. The kids could enjoy the chicken nuggets, chips etc and the adults could tuck into the local and international dishes. Stand outs for us was the whole salmon, variety of salads and mousse cakes. There was so much choice and the food was being refreshed all the time so even if you were later the spread still looked very fresh and inviting, and the tables were kept very clear and clean. There was also a snack bar for the day time as well as a Greek and American restaurant for the evening - you need to book these early when you arrive, I had trouble with this and Chrysi from the restaurant was incredibly helpful. One of my daughters is a coeliac and found the guidance signs to be very useful. It would be hard to imagine anyone not liking the food at this hotel.

For drinks you could upgrade but we didn't need to. We enjoyed the local beers and wines and there were plenty of cocktail options. Isko at the terrace bar made some great cocktails for us and was very friendly and approachable. Water bottles are in the rooms when you arrive and you can refill them from a number of areas.

Unfortunately my husband was very ill and ended up in hospital (nothing related to the hotel) and I found the reception staff to be incredibly kind and helpful. Advice on the hospital, calling cabs, offering food packages, additional water, checking for availability in case we had to extend the stay and providing a complimentary room on day of departure. Thanks so much Malena and Bianca you are wonderful!

We found the entertainment to be just right for us as we prefer things on the quiet side. It is a family resort but the kids entertainment is not overwhelming. Our grandkids had a crush on Leonardo lion walking around at meal times and I think it kept them sat down for longer (thanks to whoever was in that costume it must have been so hot!). We liked the kids disco in the early evening and also the pool bar and terrace singers at night.

The hotel was not overcrowded, plenty of tables for meals and always sunbeds around. I thought this was because we were later in the season but this wasn't the case as the hotel was pretty much at capacity when we stayed.

The location is perfect being on the main seaview path to Paphos (40 mins) and a selection of shops and restaurants just over the road.

We didn't get out, apart from the Paphos walk, because of my husband's illness but we will return and definitely stay here again.

Good points:
Upon arrival the hotel appears lovely. The lobby is clean and modern with beautiful views over the pool area and sea.

I stayed in room 1108 which was a family room with great side-sea-views.

The beds are clean and comfortable, there are plenty of fresh towels and soaps to use.

The pool area I lovely as is the grass verges where the majority of sun loungers are overlooking the sea.

The restaurant is clean and neatly laid out and there is an acceptable choice of food.

The local branded standard drinks (beer/wine/spirits) are all good.

Not so good points:
The standard of room cleaning by the cleaners during your stay is NOT acceptable. Not once did they change the bedding or clean the bathroom. Their daily routine included sweeping the balcony and replacing your towels and new toilet rolls. Oh, and leaving the door to the balcony unlocked every single day!

The food is acceptable. There is a small choice available but it never seems to be entirely fresh or piping hot. The small selection of salads were nice though. It’s certainly not the standard and choice of food I would expect to see in a large 4* resort.

There are some very miserable and rude staff on the pool bar (they are not local Cypriots). You would queue for a drink and when it came to your turn to order they would pull out their mobile phones and walk away, leaving you waiting for a minute.

I was not informed upon booking with my agent that you are only on the basic all inclusive package. If you want bottled drinks, cocktails and branded spirits then you would need to upgrade to the platinum all inclusive package. I didn’t upgrade and didn’t see anyone else wearing a gold band either. The local branded standard beers, wines and spirits are all fine.

There are great views and it’s a great location for access to the harbour.

Would I stay here again? Yes I would, but it certainly wouldn’t be my first choice of hotels as there are so many better ones in that area, having stayed in many of them over the years.

Our 1st holiday abroad since Sept 2019 reminded us why we love our holidays.
We enjoyed 2 weeks of sunshine and relaxation in this clean well situated hotel. We walked to the harbour, shops bars and restaurants, a round trip of 10k steps most days, via the pedestrianised walkway along the coast line, before settling by the pool to enjoy the sunshine.
The quality of the food in the buffet restaurant was fabulous. Plenty of variety, each evening following a different theme, Italian, Greek, Chinese to name a few.
A snack bar restaurant was also available by the pool each day. Drinks by the pool available either from the pool bar or waiter service. All the staff worked hard and were very pleasant but a particular mention has to be for Alinia . What an absolute star! Alinia truly wants her guests to have a brilliant holiday, remem bering people's names, what they like to drink and when, often delivering a drink at just the right time without being asked!!! Thank you Alinia we miss you already!! The hotel reception and inside bar were less welcoming. The bar area is very brightly lit and lacks atmosphere, I guess this will be less of an issue in the warmer months when people will sit outside in an evening, however in late April early May it was too cool to do so for long. We had a side sea view room on the 2nd floor. The balcony was tiny and didn't benefit from any sunshine. After 2 days I asked to upgrade to a sea view room at the front. The receptionists were not very helpful telling me to come back on various occasions but never actually able to assist despite smiling and writing down our room number. Our room was situated near to the lifts. Piped music is played day and night in the lift and audible in our room everytime the lift doors opened on our floor. Believe me this is not pleasant at 3am!!! I asked on numerous occasions for the music to be turned off or down during the night and feel the various receptionists just paid me lip service but had no intention of doing anything about it. On departure, I was told I should have asked to speak to the maintenance man when it actually happened in the night. Silly me for thinking the receptionists would do that when I complained. The hotel is adult only, although I believe most children are better behaved than some adults we encountered. A select few individuals were loud and disrespectful. During the day this isn't a problem as plenty of places to sit but we were often woken by their shouting in the early hours of the morning . A late flight meant we had a full last day of sun, we chose to book a half hour in the courtesy room to shower rather than pay €90 for a late check out. We would return for some early sunshine but would book a sea view room or even one overlooking the hotel entrance rather than the side.

I have just returned from a week at this hotel and had a fantastic time. This was my first time travelling since COVID and I was pleasantly surprised at how normal everything felt. The hotel is spotlessly clean and, whilst masks are required when walking around inside or serving yourself in the restaurant, this was never and an issue and there was piles of masks available if you had forgotten your own.

I shared a room with 2 friends and therefore I had a sofa bed however there was plenty of room for us all and extra bed, whilst on the smallish side, was comfortable. I am only 5’2” so this is probably better suited to a child or someone nearer my size than a larger adult. My friends commented that the other beds were very comfortable. We booked an inland view but had a room on the side of the building so actually had a good view of the beach as well. The rest of the room facilities were standard for the star rating but we had no complaints and the room was cleaned every day to a good standard.

The food options at the hotel were very good with a variety of hot options as well as a number of different salads/desserts etc. The breakfast was also very good with an omelette station and hot and cold options. The snack bar by the pool was excellent as well offering pizza, kebabs, chips, fruit etc during the day. As some other reviewers have said, chips are only available here and not in the main restaurant with meals which is slightly strange but didn’t bother me.

The pool area at the hotel is lovely and, being right on the coast, you can enjoy a view of the sea one side and the pool the other. Despite being a group of 7, we never had issues getting sunbeds together. My only complaint about the hotel would be the music around the pool which was far too ‘techno’ for when you are trying to relax on holiday. The DJ was rarely there and would disappear for hours at a time so you couldn’t even request a change however, having spoken to the bar staff, we eventually managed to connect one of our parties phone to the sound system and play something more suitable.

Of an evening there is entertainment around the pool, often singers who were very good and had everyone up dancing.

With the exception of the pool DJ, everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Sam and the girls in the animation team were lovely and the staff on the lobby bar very attentive.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely go back. The weather in mid-September was perfect and we had a great week!
