My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend our honeymoon at Bergsig Game Farm and wow, didn't we have an amazing time! From the picnic in the middle of the bushveld, the awesome helicopter ride and the perfect Safari drive. On arrival we had a bottle of bubbly awaiting us with a lovely photo and note welcoming us. We felt so special and also very comfortable with everything we needed available to us in our chalet. Lizelle and her team went the extra mile checking in on us and making sure we were happy.
We are already planning our second trip...

The overal review of the farm was great. Large hurds of animals make hunting the perfect animal easier than on other farms. As a young working person you always look for the most value for money. This was provided at Bergsig Game Farm. Friendly staff and a great PH made the hunt and stay very engouable.

The lodge is situated in a private game reserve, with very kind owners that love and respect the animals. From our lodge, we could see the giraffes at a couple of meters away, it was incredible.

The lodge itself is surprisingly luxurious, given that it’s in the middle of nature. There is a jacuzzi, perfect airco, and even fast and stable wifi.

Our host took us on a game drive to see rhinos, hippos, and lions, and we even booked a helicopter tour with them to fly over the reserve and the sea, where we saw great white sharks.

In summary, great place, could definitely have stayed longer, would definitely go back.

I was extremely disappointed!! I have stayed over at self catering places for half the price and got more amenities. To me it was definitely not a "Honeymoon Suite", The name suggests something special. There was no TV or WiFi reception(evidently due to strong winds, but no apologies or let us know), the unit wasn't even made ready for our arrival. The photo of the lounge is very misleading. There were quite a few kitchen utensils not available that should have been. Unfortunately not an enjoyable break away for my wife and I.

Bergsig provided a unique experience of a very comfortable lodge above a flood lit pond about a mile in the game reserve.
You could watch a huge variety of game from the comfort of your veranda, or drive around the property in your own car for further exploration or even hire a helicopter for an aerial view.
Our host Vicki was exceptional in both her helpfulness and knowledge of the animals.
The only real criticism our party had was the en-suite bedrooms did not have a bathroom door which might worry some!
You will need to bring all your food and drink for the duration as the nearest shop is some miles away.
Overall a stunning place to stay which we all remember fondly !

The area is stunning and being so close to nature, observing animals in their natural habitat is truly amazing. I plan to visit this place again and again for the serenity and tranquility it provides. From the moment we arrived at the farm until the time we left, Vicki made us feel very welcome. It was an absolutely wonderful experience for us.

The Mossel Bay Heliopters ride to find white sharks was amazing. We really enjoyed the farm visit as well. We were on a cruise ship port-of-call and arranged our own visit apart from the ship. Vicki was fantastic to work with and staff were professional throughout. I highly recommend booking direct with them!

Road to the cabin is horrible. We dont have a 4×4 so halfway there we needed to turn around because of the road. On the booking they did not warn us about this. And when my husband when to return the keys and told the lady the road was to bad for us to drive with our car ahe was rude an did not even offer to return our money we were suppost to stay there for 2 nights.
