Great hotel in proximity of Lake Braies in the Dolomites. Room was gorgeous, all in wood with awesome modern shower box. Everything super clean. Balcony view also breathtaking. Quite a large indoor swimming pool with "night sky" ceiling (led lights), breakfast was very good and also the dinner is absolutely worth it. Dogs are welcome however no amenities are available for them.
Enjoyed three day stay at hotel Cristoph. Walking distance to ski track (2 minutes) Olang I, large parking and very nice staff at the hotel. Everything from reception area to restaurant and bar was supreb. Rooms are nice and very clean. Buffet breakfast was rich and tasty, evening five dish menu dinner extremely good. Very satisfied and recommended hotel to visit!
Be Careful!, The manager can be verbally and physically abusive! This is what happened to us: We made the reservation in this hotel, I had dinner with my wife, the waiter offered us the wine menu, there was no option for other drinks, we told the waiter we don’t drink alcohol and we asked him if we can get the Zero Coke that we got from the supermarket, the waiter told us that this is OK, we thanked him and we brought the Zero Coke. Up on checking out Christopher, the manager and the owner, as he describes himself issued us an invoice which include ordering two Cokes, I told Christopher that in fact we did not order any Cokes, we were offered the wine menu, we don't drink, so we took the permission of the waiter to bring our Zero Coke. At this point Christopher start to be verbally abusive, shouting that the waiter has no rights to allow us to bring our Zero Cokes, and we must pay for the Cokes. I must say that I realized that this guy is not stable, and the situation was not safe, so I told him, OK I will pay for the two Cokes, but change the invoice from ordering two Cokes to bringing Cokes into the restaurant (because we did not order it we brought it from our room). At this point Christopher started to be verbally and physically abusive, he started shouting in German language to the hotel employees he told me that he asked them to block my car, so I can't leave, and come back to "deal" with me!!, I must say that at that point I realized that this guy is dangerous, I started calming him and reassuring him that I paid already 300 Euros for my stay and I'm OK to pay the additional fees he is suggesting (4 more Euros!!!!). Finally we managed to get out of this hotel safe!! Another minor issue up on checking in, Christopher refused to check us in, because we came early (1:30 PM), I told him I requested an early check in (at 1 PM) and I got an email from booking, his answer was the E.mail was wrong?!! …
Also stayed here for the Singing Festival with a large choir group. Had been a bit concerned to see the number of disappointing reviews beforehand but all I can say is, they must be very picky as I thought the hotel was absolutely great! We had a large double room on the 2nd floor with a balcony and lovely view of the mountains nd surrounding area. The food was superb: delicious five course dinners and excellent buffet style breakfasts. They did very well to accommodate us and cope with our timings. The restaurant staff were really efficient. The only negative was that service in the Bar was rather slow but, I suppose when a large thirsty crowd descend on you all at once, anywhere would be!
Recently visited this hotel with a large choir participating in a local festival. Very comfortable, very friendly staff who were very accommodating with our requests for early dinner etc. Food was very good and plenty of it. I would rate the hotel as excellent overall.
