I stayed at Tuli Wilderness Serolo camp with my husband and my brother for two nighs in the middle of February. It was our second trip to Tuli Wilderness and we loved it!
The campsite is in the shade of big trees, which is good for hiding from the hot summer sun. The tents are equipped with shower and toilet so no need to go out into the wild at night, unless you want to see the beautiful night sky. The staff and the guides are very warm, friendly and careing people and the food is excellent!
The rains of 2020 have been generous and the nature was very lush! In the winter of 2019 the scenery was totally different, but still beautiful! I love the Tuli Wilderness because of its wilderness -- there is no other tourists around and you have the place all to yourself! :)

What an incredible experience! As someone who frequents hoedspruit and the surrounding lodges often, nothing comes close to Serolo safari camp!

The reserve is extensive, offering amazing wildlife and beautiful sightings. The rangers Sakaeo and Kitso have a wealth of knowledge and are some of the most friendly people I have ever met.

My compliments extend to Gabby and OT, for creating the four delicious meals daily, included in the full board option. I definitely recommend!

The camp itself is amazing, offering a fully immersive experience in the African bush but with all the comforts of a luxury tented experience. Don’t hesitate, these permanent structure tents offer a better experience than any bricks and mortar room, with a shower and toilet, 4 steps away from the beds. True African luxury!

Do yourself a favor and try it, you won’t be disappointed!

We booked for 2 nights at Serolo Safari Camp with my girlfriend. Awesome all inclusive deal of boarding, all 4 meals and 2 game drives per day. Best deal ever. We were blown away by the tranquility of that place. Best hospitality. Julie was amazing with booking us in and answering all our endless questions. We were nervous as it was our first time in the Tuli Wilderness together. She was so helpful and returned our emails promptly even out in the wild with limited internet connectivity. Kitso was really awesome in getting us checked in and settled. Jerry our Safari guide was phenomenal and very knowledgeable & very professional. The kitchen stuff did an amazing job, the food was really tasty and well presented too. Our game drives were spectacular, we spotted a huge herd of elephants prolly 30+, from a morning drink, a pack of giraffes, Eland, a mother elephant with a day old baby elephant, still with pink ears. A highlight was spotting a cheetah in the middle of a swamp. Our tent was amazing. Best Safari experience i have ever had.

My wife and I stayed for two nights on 26 & 27 December. What an undiscovered jewel this truly is. Just 4.5 hours drive from Johannesburg ( same distance as Kruger Park) and we had an incredible two days. Only disappointment was that our stay was not longer! The food was fantastic, the staff’s “nothing is too much trouble” attitude, the stunning accommodation and the incredible game viewing!! (Two leopards in two days - one at the watering hole at the camp!!) The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished with a private patio deck chairs and a view of the Bush. The Lodge is the ideal blend of untouched eco/environmentally friendly, style and comfort. The pool, where one can enjoy a drink in the cool shade of the stunning Mashatu Trees, over looking the watering hole, is just stunning. We had elephant, hyenas, warthogs, loads of antelope and zebra coming in a constant procession to drink from the watering hole. And the bird life is also just Stella. You could actually just stay a day at the Lodge and see a plethora of game and birds. But when you do go, be sure to visit Eagle Rock. Breathtaking vista views of the Motoultse River and if you are very lucky you may spot the breeding pair of Verreaux Black Eagles resident to the area. It was on the walk up to Eagle Rock where we saw our second leopard! My wife and I have been fortunate enough to visit some top Lodges the likes of Shamwari, Londelozi, we have been to the Okavango Delta and many others, but Tuli Wilderness and Serolo Lodge have something so special and unique it is still one of absolute favorites. We did not see another sole on any of our amazing game sightings or drives. This place is Heaven and we will be back soon!

If it’s your first time in Botswana, I would suggest booking in at Serolo Camp, the pool is seriously a welcomed attraction (for both guests and the Ellie’s).
The staff were wonderful, it was an awesome experience seeing the difference between SA game parks and here, they leave you at night and most of the day, unless you have activities booked ofcourse, this is no issue as long as you respect that you are in the proper African Bushveld.
We had Ellie’s come to drink out the pool, we sat very still and watched them, a bucket list sighting for sure! They came so close to our tent that we herd them communicate through their tummy rumbles, that was exhilarating. Hyena made his/her kill 200m from the camp we saw the chase, Lucky! They came quite close to camp that evening. This place is a true Gem and I would definitely go back there. Game drives were excellent, you don’t always have to see a vast variety of animals, the scenery is enough to take your breath away, especially at sunset time - the golden hour.
I cannot day enough about Jerry, the guide at Serolo, he tells stories, jokes and has such a hearty laugh that you can’t help but just want to do it all again! His knowledge blows your mind when it comes to trees, birds, bugs, mammals and the land as a whole. He gave us a drive and a walk on his birthday with the biggest of smiles, I even gifted him my thermo mug to keep his drinks cool in the hot days!

Julie was more than accommodating towards us and guests, she was just a message away, made a plan for us when we needed and extremely helpful with the planning for this trip!

Thank you to all the staff, Gaby, Khitso, Jerry, Rachel and Julie for ensuring our trip was truly an unforgettable one!

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome and very much at home. The owners Julie & Stuart clearly have a passion for their business as the environment they have created is just spectacular. All the kitchen, hospitality and housekeeping staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble or effort for them. They are so warm and friendly too. We experienced dinners at both Serolo and Mohave camps as well as a dinner in the bush under the amazing African night sky. The guides for the game drives are also exceptionally knowledgeable and talented in both the wildlife and tracking them. This was a magical experience now printed indelibly in our minds and hearts and we will definitely become regular visitors. Thank you Julie, Stuart and team for making this trip so memorable. As the title suggests......"Simply the Best".

Tented rooms without aircon and that in Africa!! The heat takes all the enjoyment out of the stay and although the food and the staff are marvelous you simply cannot escape the terrible heat 24 hours of the day. If it wasn't for the small splash pool I doubt it if we would have survived. Game drives done in an open vehicle which has seen much better days, without a roof and fortunately driven by Jerry who is one of the best drivers/guides which I have encountered on my trips in Africa. Not an abundance of game and I really expected much more.

If your heart and soul are nourished and fed by a bush experience then this little gem is the place for you. The game drives are special and completely non commercial like some places I’ve been to. You can go on a bush walk which is exhilarating to say the least. The cuisine served three times a day is absolutely delicious and presented and plated so beautifully and the rooms are super comfortable with all amenities offering the safety of a door but still allowing you to listen to the wild animals as they pass through the camp at night grazing. This place is African heaven on earth. So do yourself a favour and book!

We recently had a 3 day stay at Serolo camp and it was an unforgettable experience. The game drives were fantastic, with knowledgeable and friendly guides who took us on some incredible adventures. We saw a wide variety of wildlife, including amazing sighting of lion and leopard. The private chef was a treat, as they prepared delicious meals for us every day, with all different ingredients. The luxury tented accommodation was also top-notch. Each tent is privately tucked away amongst the trees, with comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom. The pool with a view over the water hole was a great spot to relax and watch as different animals came to visit. The highlight of our trip was the bush dinner experience in the wild. Sitting under the stars eating delicious food by candlelight was truly a magical and unforgettable experience. Overall, we highly recommend Serolo camp for anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience.

We stayed at Serolo camp for three nights and enjoyed every moment! The staff is extremely kind and dedicated. The meals are always served on time, in line with the game drives and are absolutely delicious.
Our guide Jou had many years of experience and was extremely passionate about his job, which made for great game drives!
In the noon we relaxed on the terrace, enjoying tea and watching impalas or elephants drink from the waterhole.
Thanks for a great stay, we would return anytime!
