The geyser needed to be turned on before we arrived so that our water could have been hot, we had very quick cold showers. We didn’t have coffee cups in our room either, so we could not make any. That was a let down. Breakfast was lovely!

We were six men from Leopards rugby management who stayed there for whole week. Rooms were very comfortable, food was very well prepared and the wines better than the average wines in the region. The staff, especially Anine and Quintin (manager) treated us like family and went out of their way to make our stay as great as possible. We will surely visit again. Thank you for a great time.

Very nice setting, views are spectacular. Friendly staff always ready to assist. Downside - probably not completely finished yet, but there were small irritating things still not fixed. After mentioning it to the staff, they really try to attend and fix it as soon as possible.
Restaurant is acceptable, although I think they need to consider opening in the evenings too.

Firstly the credit card machines were not working on the day of our stay. It was 35 degrees when I landed in Cape Town and the rooms do not have AC or a fan in them. The property looks nothing like the website in fact it is the complete opposite. It is run down and delapidated. There are no activities, no room service, no phones in the room and no WiFi (despite them advertising free WiFi) This accommodation was like it hadn’t had guest staying there in years. No breakfast offered, no guest welcome by management. When checking out there was only a cook on the property whom we handed our keys over to. The owners/management were not available and we were the only guests staying there. By far the worst stay I’ve ever had!! Take this property down from your website. In fact trip advisor should reimburse me for the false advertising you are promoting here!!!!

What a hidden gem!

As promised it was a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Pleasantly surprised by the area in general as Cape Town has experienced a heavy drought.

Enjoyed the stay in the room, comfortable bed and lovely rainhead shower. A small fridge and the option to make tea / coffee in the room was welcomed.

The wedding was well organised by farm management, good breakfast and a wonderful experience.

Would happily visit for a weekend away.

The water and electricity was off for three of the four nights of our intended visit. We were placed at another guest house for the first two nights, but they could not accommodate us for the Friday and Saturday nights. Spent the Friday night at Ruitersvlei with candles and cold water. Not ideal, but also not Ruitersvlei's fault. The proprietor really did his best to find us alternative accommodation and was most apologetic.

We were excited to stay on a wine farm especially when i saw the photos but to my dissapointment it was not the least like the photos! I know that theres no water but it looks like nobody has been taking care of the place walls need a paint of entire place grass needs to be cut and parking towards rooms needs to be re-routed as you drive by workers washing and fires outside there houses! Curtains and towels need to be changed as well! What you see is not what you get! The breakfast was nice though and the beds very comfortable but for the rest i was really dissapointed! You need to update your website!

The booking process was very easy and i found Abigail very easy to deal with on the phone. We arrived and the place was very nice. It was a bit disconcerting that you had to drive around past the staff quarters to get to the entrance of your room. Rooms where very nice, comfotable beds and everything you needed in them. Just no TV's, but thats not a huge thing. The big issue was that the place ran out of water early on Sunday morning and there was nothing the staff could do. I was told that this had been happening for 3 months, as there was a leak. As an owner, dont leave your staff to deal with the issue, provide them the tools to make sure you guests are comfortable. Water for toilets in the morning is something of rather importance to most people. But to just say, sorry there is none, is not the correct answer. Make sure you have enough water spare to provide your guest with flushing capabilities. Breakfast in the morning was nice and we where given a bottle of their nice wine as a sorry for the water. Still save yourselves having to give out wine, and just have enough water to flish loos.

Arriving for a wedding on Saturday, having booked in November, we were told there was no water a problem which had been going on for sometime not related to our current water crisis. So no showers to get ready for the wedding and on returning and the next morning still no water for morning ablutions let alone a shower. At R1000 a night the least I would have expected is potable water for the toilets an a liter of drinking water per person. Staff were friendly but lost with no management in sight. I have given them a week to respond to a direct mail prior to posting review with no response so would hate others to have to suffer the same fate.

When we were staying in Franschhoek, we were looking for a new accommodation and we called this hotel! They were friendly and could book two rooms for the 5 of us. We arrived in the afternoon and it looked beautiful! The rooms have instead of numbers, names of wine grapes, which is awesome when you like wine as we do! It looks pretty new and the beds are very comfortable.
The lady mentioned to us that we could have diner in the restaurant but that there would be a bigger group later in the evening that would be staying in the restaurant since they were re-opening. We figured that the hotel was renovated and the entire staff was friendly and willing to help.
The first room we had, was a double bed for two persons but they decided to move us to a different room with two single beds! Furthermore we had a room for 3 persons, the beds were great. The extra bed didn't have a proper matrass anymore but when we mentioned it to the staff, they changed it right away.
The diner was good and we had a good sleep, waking up with this view is amazing!
We had breakfast in the garden, which was really nice and there was some live music.
Overall a great experience and we would love to comeback!
