This is situated in a quiet environment just next to Northgate Mall where the Coca Cola Dome resides. The rooms are big and clean with open parking bay. There is limited channels for the satellite TV with no Wifi services. Nobody is available at the reception after 18Hr00. The linen now needs replacement....

My daughters and I arrived late on Saturday March 23rd to an amazing and warm welcome from Keletso and Shane. The room was clean, the beds comfy and the general ambience and service the one reason we'll be back.
Big ups to Shane and Keletso, given the crappy and all-round pull-hair-out-worthy day I'd had before getting to Protea Ridge, their warmth, service and willingness to go above and beyond to make us comfortable was definitely the balm my soul needed.
One night was not enough, we're definitely coming back!

Photos are SO deceiving!! Place is horrible, not maintained at all! Dirty, things are broken, hardly get through to owner when calling. Some plugs are not working, taps are broken in the bathroom the list goes on. They do not give refunds even though it’s false advertising. Would not recommend at all!!

Unbelievable! I made payment through an agency at the end of Feb. My agent paid on my behalf and no response was received. My agent enquires today and Fred emails that the booking expired and they are now fully booked over my dates.They basically held my money for 2 weeks even though the booking was not confirmed. I am sending my bank details for a refund and that had better be done. Be careful of this place! How can you not refund me or advise me asap if my booking is not secured but you take my money and only state you will refund me when my agent enquires why she hasnt received a response. I am waiting for your response Protea Ridge. When a client pays, is this what happens? I have travelled for years locally and internationally and never experienced this!

This establishment has no one managing their offices, and staff. If something goes wrong the customer gets blamed, threatened and sworn at. Fred the owner, is the most rude, obnoxioius and selfcentred individual I have met. He believes that he has the right to treat his customers as though they are beggars he is doing a favour for.

This place is unrecognizable (in the best way possible!) My husband and I booked a stay, we were floored! They really transformed the space. You seriously wouldn't believe you're still in Johannesburg! Plus, the staff is phenomenal. Big shoutout to Shane for the fabulous service and always with a smile. Arrived post a long business day - never again. Smelly old rooms, bathrooms need a serious renovation. Dark and scary for ladies traveling alone with just the gate keeping showing us to our rooms. How this gets a 5 star is beyond me!

I was pleasantly surprised by this Bed & Breakfast! It is conveniently located near the Lanseria Airport and close to the Lion Park. Feels like you're out in the country-side, yet close to the city of Johannesburg.

The place is very dirty, no service from reception, breakfast is bad, rooms are not clean, no welcome by staff members, no one talking to the guests except the security guard. I will not advise anyone to go sleep there , my worst experience ever.. very terrible.
