The Garden Venue, tucked away in the heart of North Riding, proudly hosts weddings, corporate events and a variety of parties and functions with an exquisite hotel for accommodation.
We are a multiple award-winning events venue known for our gorgeous gardens, cantilevering decks, floating pavilions, cascading Koi ponds, garden chapels and designer event halls.
As one of Johannesburg's most popular event spaces, we offer 12 elegant function venues, 4 magical wedding chapels and 46 boutique hotel bedrooms, set in 8 acres of exquisite gardens.
Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a large celebration, we host events from 10 to 450 guests, offering superior service with diverse event packages that may include mouthwatering catering, trending decor, luxurious accommodation and so much more.
With over 46 hotel rooms, spread across our Blueberry and Gardens hotel suites, each room is en suite, with double or single occupancy available. Boasting fantastic garden views, the exclusive hotel rooms combine classic style with contemporary flair.
As a boutique hotel each room enjoys a different design element. Guests may choose between either our deluxe or standard rooms with king, queen or twin bed options.

The rates that are charged is in line with all relevant hotels and accommodation, but there was no airconditioners in the rooms, neither the little necessities that other accommodations supply e..g little shampoos and conditioners. The rooms definitley does not meet the standard of the price we paid, if you had to measure it to other accommodations in the same price range. The breakfast was also not up to standards, our eggs was made in another room and the lady was not immediately available, so our eggs came after we ate most of our breakfast.

I had my wedding function here. Staff were very helpful in keeping up with all my requests. The food could have been a bit nicer but overall a good place to throw an event I was not disappointed with my choice. A little bit expensive especially given the fact that the DJ did not play the type of music we liked despite advising him. Overall we were all happy and had a good time.

Our mehndi function took place on the khoi pond and formalities and dance in the elephant venue. My only piece of advice is to make sure you are fully informed of inclusions and exclusions upfront befor bookinf to avoid confusion and complications when planning the event. Otherwise, the venue is stunning and the service staff are the heart and the highlight of the garden venue! they were so friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our night with the staff and our guests loved the playful khoi jumping around. Would highly recommend them :)

On the 23rd of September, my husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at The Garden venue and they blew us away with their service. It was truly magical and soooo romantic. The honeymoon suite was covered in flower petals and a bottle of champagne was ready for us when we arrived 👌 a huge THANK YOU to Andile and her team. The food was Devine, not forgetting our lovely candle lit dinner by the balcony. Faith at reception always friendly and attentive, and the kitchen staff were amazing. In a nutshell,we are a happy couple and compliments to The Garden Venue staff for never dropping the ball ✨️❤️✨️

My wedding day was perfect more than what was expected. With all the stress of the day The Garden venue team made sure the day is special. Thank you to Eitel, Kevin and Andile you were my A-Team. To Viola, you promised us a great experience and we got just that. The food was amazing and the guests could not stop talking about the food. My vision for the deco was spot on.

The venue is absolutely stunning and picture perfect for any occasion! My interaction was not a pleasant one with both senior Managers due to time slot mishandling. Simba the Coordinator saved the day, after I have completely given up on my event and the Venue. Through all the unpleasant exchanges with Managers, Simba kept reassuring me everything will be resolved until I completely relied on him as he seemed like the only staff member interested in meeting the clients 's need.
The day of the event came and Simba and his Team Notsikelelo and DJ Eddie blew my mind away. They completely made my day and exceeded my expectations. Simba kept his promise and made my day with his Team. He completely wiped the bad experience I had with senior Managers and made my event extraordinary! Thank you once more Simba your kindness and gently nature, your ultimate respect towards Client is unmatched! Keep up the good work!

We went with our friends to view The Garden Venue at an open day as a forerunner to their wedding in April, where we will be Best Man and Matron of Honour. Lynette from the complex was our chaperone and guide and was very friendly and helpful. As part of the open day there was a free lunch, with drinks, all of which were excellent. The drinks were also unlimited with beer, wine and cocktails available. We also viewed all the various wedding chapels and in the end chose a different one to the one they had originally chosen. The whole of The Garden Venue is peaceful, tranquil and beautiful and easy to get to from the North Western side of Johannesburg. We're now looking forward to the wedding in April.

On behalf of myself and my husband, Jason we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Garden Venue for the most outstanding assistance and coordination of our wedding. I just cannot begin to describe the fairytale wedding they created for me. I mean every girl wants the perfect wedding and I got mine. I experienced the most kind-hearted staff and from day one of looking at my potential wedding venue I knew there was just something about this place that made me decide to have my wedding there. On a special note my wedding coordinator Faith was amazing and made sure everything was in place from the day of booking until my wedding until the end of our reception and of course making our honeymoon suite just so romantic. Faith, without you my anxiety levels would have been high but you helped me keep through the whole process. I also believe she has a baby so making extra time for me just proves her passion for creating perfect weddings for beautiful brides. Blessing our floor manager was a real blessing. She even managed to get Jägermeister off my dress after a slight accident. All the staff were incredible. I just want to thank everyone at The Garden Venue for treating me like a queen and making my whole wedding from start to finish a magical one. I will be seeing you in the future for either a baby shower or a gender reveal. I will definitely recommend you in the future to anyone who wants to be blown away by magic at their own wedding.

We arrived after a long day and wanted to order something from room service. There was none as they were too busy with events. Its an events venue and it is quite run down. Rooms are nice and garden is lovely, but even the bathroom has a windowed door that enables anyone on the toilet to be see from the front door. The low wall around the toilet is also indiscrete. And the breakfast was very basic. I would not recommend it again.
