Stayed in this hotel overnight. 5 of us in 2 apartments. Have to say we were very impressed. Looking at the photos on this site it looks like the place has been done up recently. Rooms were very spacious and clean. New showers in the rooms, clean beds and the breakfast was lovely. We had 5 motorcycles with us and they gave us access to one of their several garages for the bikes which was an added bonus. However after a walk round the area and seeing how quiet it is here I think the garages wouldn't be required. Plenty places here for the bikes to park. :) Overall we were very impressed with Hotel Schiff and would definitely stay again.

Zum Schiff is a very nice, quaint even, little hotel in Rastatt. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Bed are a little hard, but you cant have everything. Breakfast is your standard German fare, but good none the less. Great value for the money. I enjoyed Rastatt, there was not a lot to see, but it is a nice laid back German town.

This was my first time in Germany and I arrived a bit late from Frankfurt by train to Rastatt. I got a good welcome at the reception. To my surprise staff spoke in English. The breakfast is quite good given the price I paid for the stay. The hotel is just 10 min walk from train station and situated in the middle of main market. I would say excellent location. Many super markets around and restaurants to eat. Overall highly recommended hotel.

Arrived on their National holiday and had not realised so town very quiet and all closed for weekend. The large very basic rooms were ok but breakfast a bit disappointing for Germany. FOund a good local restaurant near the park though It surprisingly quiet at night for town centre location and this is the first time I ever been in a German town that felt run down. Staff helpful and good wifi

Dans cette ville abritant la résidenz de style baroque du et de la Margrave de Baden Baden, l'hôtel Zum Schiff représente un excellent compromis pour profiter au maximum de son séjour dans d'excellentes conditions. Zum Schiff hotel represents a very good value. Ideally located in central city Rastatt, it is quiet and at walking distance from all the spots of Rastatt including the Residenz built for the Margrave of Baden Baden in the 18 Century in a baroque style.
