Hotel's Favourite
We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, very friendly staff with warm hospitality.
The Rooms are simple, but comfortable and very clean with beautiful view overlooking the Fjord & within driving distances to some of the beautiful attractions in the neighbourhood. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many choices to suit everyone's taste & the dinner buffet was an absolute gastronomical delight, one of the best & relatively cheap comapred to the Norwegian prices we paid during our visits in Oslo, Trondheim & Bergen. Hotel has its own parking which is free, considering this I don't feel the room prices are high contrary to some of the comments. We did miss the kettle in the room but againg we could take free coffee or tea from the selfserving machine at any time in the restaurant.
Thanks to the front office manager Johanna Øvregaard for her hospitality & helping us with all our queries & ensuring we enjoyed our stay.

With COVID-19 affecting all hotels at the moment, it is refreshing to see a hotel team who have managed to adapt to the new way of working and still deliver excellent service to their guests.
My family has been on a two week road trip around Norway, and this is the first hotel where we really appreciated the way breakfast was run, and could see that the staff were a well oiled team!
We also appreciated the staff searching the hotel for an extra pillow. My son needs to sleep slightly elevated, so it was great to see how the staff worked hard to help us out, especially when the hotel was fully booked. A big thanks!
We had a family room with 4 beds - it was perfect for our 2 night stay. We had room 403 which also had a good view of the fjord.

This summer we visited Quality hotel Voeringfoss on our way to Bergen. The receptionist made us feel very welcome, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that we had been upgraded to very nice rooms with a great view of the bay and mountains. We slept really well, and the breakfast was varied and very good. All in all a pleasant stay, and we can certainly recommend this hotel!

We paid more than 2300 kr per night for a simple, outdated, simple room with no TV (the cable was just hanging from the wall). We paid for fiord view, but the only thing we saw until 7 in the evening was a huge cruiseship that was docked in front of the hotell. Yes, the surroundings are beautiful, but the room was not worth the price.

For the price you pay you have big expectations which are unfortunatly not getting fullfilled. The rooms are big and we got an free upgrade with an balcony but the hotel is a bit outdated and in need of modernisation. Breakfast was good. Restaurant is too expensive in my opinion. Because we were tired and didnt had a lot of choice we had to pay huge money for a good night sleep which is not worth paying it.

Bait and switch. Charged for a luxury hotel with balcony room and view of fjord. What we got was moved to a non luxury hotel with a view of a short hill. If we had booked directly with hotel they moved us to, the price would have been half of what we were charged for the original rooms we booked. Total rip off. Beware when booking this hotel.

The impression of the outside is far better than the impression you get when you enter your room. Wall-to-wall carpets, bare walls, dated (80/90’s style) furniture and far from cozy. The view is great, but it’s not enough to «save it». The price is way to high compared to the standard of the room (we had a deluxe room).

The stay at Quality hotel Vørringfoss was beyond my expectations. Since the arrival till I left. The room was big and beautiful. It even had a jacuzzi, which I had great pleasure of. The food is varied and tasty. Had loads of organic and vegan options too. The staff is super friendly and they made me feel at home ❤️ I would recommend this hotel 10/10 and would love to be back ❤️
Attaching a picture from the view from the hotel. It’s placed literally in the heart of stunning nature. The hotel also offers fun activities to do like fjord safari and beautiful hikes. Totally breathtaking and I left Eidfjord charged and happy🥰 Can’t wait to be back. Thank you ❤️

I had taken the daily Hardangerfjord Fjord Scheduled Service from Bergen, which starts from Norheimsund, to Eidfjord.
The boat remains at Eidfjord for over 3 hours or so. So, if you've left your hiking boots at home, then you'll have time to enjoy a lovely light lunch, perhaps a glass of wine at Voringfoss Hotel. Which is exactly what I did before taking the return Scheduled Service back to Bergen. I have to say, a brilliant way to enjoy a day on the Hardangerfjord.
The lunch menu is short and simple, and makes use of local produce. I enjoyed a delicious Potato soup with bacon pieces, drizzle of basil oil with toasted soda bread and herby butter. For pud, I had Rhubarb cake with accompaniment of flowers and a Berry sorbet. Delicious.
Service was charming and attentive even though they had a big group to manage in the main dining room.
