The Hotel is nestled in a beautiful valley with amazing views in all directions. Its unique style of being part of a traditional Cypriot village, with rooms in difference locations is incredible. The immediate feel of contentment, relaxation and happiness on arrival is almost without comparison. We arrived early for lunch and chose the Bryantino Cypriot restaurant; there are three other dining options. The food was superb with an excellent range of dishes. Portion sizes are good and the fresh produce was particularly welcome. Our waitress was delightful, sorry we did not get her name, and this was a great start to our stay. The Reception Team is very pleasant and all formalities are completed with no fuss with the emphasis on welcoming you to the village. We were escorted to our suite which was well appointed, warm, welcoming and very well maintained. A large balcony and small touches like a fruit plate and complimentary room bar added to the feeling of luxury. We experienced the Byzantine cafe that evening, again with excellent food and service. The village is wonderful to explore and its residents maintain the feeling that they take pleasure in welcoming you.

A trip to Marathasa winery is a must with incredible views and, when we visited, three wonderful members of staff that really made the visit even more special. Do enjoy a wine flight overlooking the valley, and take some bottles away with you! The Hotel spa is very special with lots of facilities, again all very clean and well maintained. A relaxing two hours was spent here on both days and next time a treatment will be enjoyed.

Dinner at Loutraki is an amazing experience, one of our best on the island. Makis is a warm and welcoming member of the Team as are the incredible chefs. The menu has elements of fusion which combined with fine local ingredients make this a world class dining experience. The theme of wonderful food is a constant at the hotel and the Executive chef and his team deserve enormous credit. The Breakfast service offers a great variety of dishes and again, wonderful friendly and attentive staff.

in conclusion, what an amazing hotel with great facilities, superb dining options situated in beautiful village which makes you feel so welcome. We have already booked to return, a longer stay next time!

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this Hotel (Should be called a resort) last week. It's hard to know where to start,,, We arrived during a thunderstorm and was pretty much treated to hard rain for the first two days of our stay, not ideal. The reception was warm and inviting , we were given an in depth explanation of the site and then shown to our room, we booked the Superior Suite which was nicely furnished and the bubbles, flowers and cake that I had prebooked were all there to surprise the wife and get me in the good books already !! A couple of minor points, no coat hooks to hang wet coats, the tv had 1 english channel and it was news and it was positioned so you couldn't watch it anyway. The couch is a sofa bed, not designed to spend a cosy night in front of the log fire on for a few hours at all, couple that with the fact there are no armchairs, you dont want to spend too long in this room unless you are in bed :-) The current situation means that pretty much everything is shut apart from the onsite restaurants so you will be limited for choice. The Byzantine restaurant is nice and cosy, the menu is largely cypriot based cuisine, you have been warned !! There is the option of booking half board, take my advice and dont bother, I'll leave that there. When you wake in the morning you are treated to what can only be described as a spectacular view, stunning, beautiful, and all of the points we found the night before are forgotten, this is why you come here, its beautiful. Breakfast is awesome, no faults at all. There are plenty of walks, long and short. Try the Pantheon restaurant in the upper part of the village, different menu and 'vibe; altogether. Now the hotels party piece, The Spa. Perfect in every way,. worth the drive and the money. I would come here again just for the Spa. I can't finish this without mentioning the staff, a few have said in reviews that they weren't happy with the service, I happen to think that some of the naivity in service standards adds to the quirkiness of the hotel, it shows that it is a family run hotel, employing people from the town. Everyone from the hotel and spa that we met was warm and friendly and always willing to help. Special mention has to go to Marius from the restaurant, this guy is a star, a proper Maitre D , his knowledge and enthusiasm for his locally produced wine is admirable and inspiring. Don't go here expecting it to be a chain hotel, because it's far from that, in a good way. If you want to feel like you've left work and noise behind for a few days, I suspect that there isnt anywhere better than this place on the entire island, we are already planning our return.

Thank you very much for this in-depth review. All point s were highly taken. We already address the English channel problem as all our rooms are equipped with brand new smart TV. There are many channels to choose from and you can even watch your own Netflix or other app directly from the TV. Also this enable to receive notification, offers and do room services directly from the TV. We have change the sofa in this room as we agree it needs to be more cozy to be in front of the fire in winter time. I will pass on your nice comments to our restaurant Shift Leader Marius, thank you for this. I am pleased to see that the right feeling had to come you after your stay, that it is a family run hotel with warm feeling and love of the area and by no means it is suppose to reflect a chain hotel feeling, for me we have succeeded in passing on to you the right experience. We are looking forward to hosting you again in the near future. Best wishes from the whole Casale Panayiotis Team

Words cannot describe how stunning this hotel is. We stayed for 3 nights for a wedding and our room was beautiful- luxury, sanitised (Covid secure) and comfortable. The view from our balcony was so picturesque. We ordered a breakfast basket to our room one morning and it was a beautiful touch. We also received free reusable water bottles at check-in to reduce plastic waste. The food was outstanding and the service is brilliant. We visited the spa which was only 25 Euros per person and it was very good. Nothing to complain about- our stay was perfect.

We've stayed two nights, three days. I've booked the most expensive suite. The room was big enough and comfortable, the view and the location of the hotel are good.
The points that they need to fix:
1) The draining smells, it's cold, we sleep with closed windows, and there is a smell in the room. This is due to the door in the bathroom is from glass and it doesn't close. I don't know if this can be fixed.
2) Our room was at the top, nobody helped me to take my bags there upon arrival, neither asked me if I need help to get it back upon departure. I was tired from my road trip from Paphos and I came to relax, you shouldn't t let the guest take the bags upward the mountain.
3) We've arrived around 4 pm and I wanted to drink an espresso. The espresso machine had a problem and didn't work, I; I called reception and their answer was that there is no maintenance in the hotel right now and that they will send the maintenance tomorrow. The receptionist showed little interest in my problem. Finally, I realized that somebody put the espresso capsule the wrong way and it was tucked, it took my 20 minutes to get it out. Why couldn't you've just changed my espresso machine, take one from an empty room until it gets fixed?
4) They replaced the espresso capsuled with only decaffeinate capsules, no normal capsuled.
5) They didn't refill the drinks in mini-bar
6) At the second day when we get to our room tired the card didn't open the door, I had to look for their phone online, called them and told them the problem, the receptionist came quickly and gave me a new card. "I've was expected at least a sorry for the inconvenience, but no sorry.
7) The guys in the restaurant always run, they have 5 tables and 3 waiters and they run, in a proper restaurant with such prices waiters should never run. You try to relax and eat dinner and the waiters run near you. In general service in the restaurant was good and quick. My wife ordered octopus and didn't eat it, it smelled the way like it was cooked on a grill or pan with old oil.
8) I had 2 days free spa access, the lady at the spa told me that they called me 3 times to arrange an appointment, she told me it the way like it was my fault, I never had a miss call on my phone from them. Maybe they called to my room, but I was no there. I did try to call the SPA 3 times from my room to book another appointment, they never answered the phone and never called me back. We got disappointed with the situation and didn't visit the SPA.
My opinion is that they can't provide an adequate service to a demandable customer. For 230 euro per night, in this place, I was expected more.

I usually don't leave reviews, I spend 20 minutes of my precious time to write this only because I'd like them to improve.

As someone who travels a great deal & often stays in hotels I am rarely surprised or impressed. However this beautiful little hotel is both of those. It’s unique geography of rooms embedded in the fabric of the village is most distinctive and gives it both a ‘homely / family feel’ alongside of it’s impressive premium quality and service. A genuine jewel and a place of peace in the mountains.

Fantastic SPA facilities which take special care now with the COVID situation. Very friendly staff who try their best to please the customers. Also the restaurants serve some great meals (i.e try the trout). The hiking trails are also very well kept with great scenery - recommended for an activity at the area.

Whilst I am retired and living in Larnaca, Cyprus, I greatly enjoy spending a few days in an alternative location. I had dined at Casale Panayiotis on several occasions but this was the first time I stayed there. The Casale Panayiotis web site details the many attractions of the area and the accommodation available. The village of Kalopanagiotis is delightful and the unique arrangement of Casale Panayiotis consisting of accommodation spread over the village makes for an incredibly relaxed environment. I had a Superior Suite, beautifully presented. It was situated in a quiet part of the upper village with incredible views in an area accessed either by walking or by the village “lift”. Complimentary to the suite were two visits to the Spa where I utilised the sauna and the cold room (I made what I considered to be a constructive suggestion to the staff to install grab rails to deter a fall on the slippy surface). Down in the lower village the Byzantino Cafe provided an extremely relaxing environment and the Byzantino Terrace perfect for lunch or dinner, with more stunning views. The staff associated with the Byzantino, Constantina, Kiki, Sophia and Georgia always smiling, always anxious to provide a service. The same was true of the Loutraki Restaurant where Kyriacos provided the ultimate in professional, discreet and totally charming service. Breakfast was served in a separate area and you will never experience a more extensive breakfast. The area is perfect for hiking and on one of my days I enjoyed a 6.37 km hike, 206m gain and loss. Yes, I did have a few “issues” but each was dealt with by Iliana, The Room Division and Operations Supervisor, expeditiously, graciously AND with a subsequent follow up. So very often how an issue is dealt with can be more important in the end than the issue itself. I simply couldn’t be more impressed and before leaving made a reservation for a future visit in September.

My daughter invited us to go with them to this hotel. I had not heard of it. What a wonderful surprise. It is quite different from anythng I had experienced. Different traditional village houses have been made into wonderful, comfortable, enchanting rooms. We had one of the Family rooms which had a very pretty view over the village from a large balcony where we enjoyed a botle of champagne. The room is equipped with tv, kettle with tea/coffee, mini fridge and a sink. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet with something for everyone. We had a lovely meal with excellent service in the Byzantino restaurant. The next evening we ate in the more casual Pantheon and on returning to the hotel there was a wedding taking place with traditional Cypriot dancing so we were lucky to enjoy this enterntainment. From meeting Ileana at reception on the first day to being served drinks in the evening by Elena we enjoyed full Cypriot hospitality. The staff could not do enough for you. We will visit again

The room we had on the first night. Poky little verandah with street light outside and a concrete side obstructing views. Fiddly little electronic switches we had to wear eyeglasses to see what we’re doing. No bedside lamps. Smelly drains, in and outside.
Our dinner the first night in the main restaurant was lovely and the service was very good.
We were shifted to a studio on the second day. Bathroom floor left with great dirty footprints. There was a small misplaced aircon which blew directly on our heads and faces all night. Again, smelly drains in the morning. The mini beverage making facility was in a cupboard that had no lights. No bedside lamps.
At lunch, there was obviously a staff shortage. Tables weren’t set and we had to call the waiter back repeatedly as when the salad was placed on our table, there was no dressing, no salt, no bread, no dinner plates , no knives and forks. I think they thought we were ok to use our bread plates as main plates.
The breakfast buffet as usual was very nice with a good selection. Very good service here.
We’ve stayed here a number of times in different suites and sadly for what we pay the standards are not up to expectations.
It is the attention to detail that is important here.
One last thing, in summer, there should not be Heavy duvets as bedding. People are forced to use the Aircon on super cold in the middle of summer. Light blankets or a ‘ summer’ duvet would suffice.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that we did not met your expectation. As always we strive forward and take all review, bad or good, very seriously in order to keep improving. Our hotel rooms, as you know, are old historical village house and therefore we are subject to a strong control by the antic department. We have very strict designed place for all items and we cannot put any type of light we want. It is a very unique concept but there are some downside that come with it. We keep meeting with the antic department to improve and slowly change design. This is the reason why all review concerning room set-up problem are taken seriously and share with the department. I have share the problem at lunch that you have experience with our restaurant manager. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again and if you do please make sure to email us upfront to request the exact room that you would like. Best wishes from Casale Panayiotis Team

It was a one of a kind experience. The view from our room was breathtaking especially during the sunset. We stayed for only one night on which we have eaten at the Byzantino restaurant. The food was nothing less of amazing, especially the casale salad and the Halloumi(!!!). The Spa was also spotless and overall a great experience but unfortunately the steam bath was closed due to Covid-19 regulations. Overall the staff were very professional combined with the above mentioned leading to a one of a kind holiday! Surely would visit again in the future.

Getting to this place without a car would be a bit difficult which is a shame as it is stunning. Agree with Pickles23, Platres would be a good start and or Google "walking holidays in Cyprus" for some really good ideas. Kakopetria is in the same area, is beautiful and I am sure offers many walks. I believe there would be some links to Paphos airport from here. Good luck and enjoy this amazing Island

Some room packages may include limited spa access. The hydro pool / sauna and tropical shower costs 45 euro for use of the entire day. All services are at additional costs about 100 euros. However they may run specials. If you book a massage you will get 1 hr free use of the hydro pools sauna and tropical shower 🚿 as well as the ice room. Book in advance as they get busy.
