Arotin is amazing, the facilities are as you see them on the website! We received a warm welcome from Loraine and Steve. The manner in which the lodge is designed is ideal for big groups, however as a couple we were able to meet other couples and interact with them while cooking and also had an epic braai. It still allows you to have your own space too. The most impressive thing about the rooms is how clean they are, wow! the linen was was fresh, clean and crisp! If you are looking for a serene, tranquil weekend away Arotin is for you! not to mention that it is absolute value for money!!!

The feeling one get when arriving ans staying here is that of "just good enough". Linen and towels in the unit we stayes in were old. We had to ask for the kettle. The service provided was also just goid ebough. I didn't experience a welcoming friendliness - everyone was quite matter of fact. The wedding venue was beautidul but we had to sit and wait in the chapel for 45 minutes for the elctricity to come in, which put people who still had to drive back to Pretoria under pressure. The food was barely goid enough and no coffee was served. There was only wine in boxes available. The floor is extrèmely slippery. A few guests slipped a few times and one if the guests fell down the steep staircase. The response from the owners who came rushing nearer was - what has been broken? No apologies or concern with the man that actually got hurt. There is a game drive that forms part of the package but because the wedding took place on the afternoon (which must be the case in most instances) the host said she would see if she could arrangements for thw Sunday morning but one would not want tongo into the mountain with 1 or 2 people. She promises to get baxk to us. Which she never did. Definitely NOT a place I would recommend.

We loved the rooms and surrounding grounds. The lodge is very well kept and the owners friendly. Beautiful view of the Krokodil river when we went on a drive through the adjacent reserve. Shared kitchen is fully equipped and very spacious. Loved the Sable Antelopes and Golden Wildebeest. We will definitely return soon.

Very beautiful surrounding area and place decorated with style. Neat and clean. Was a very pleasant stay. Quiet, close to surrounding places. Service was great. Would have loved to take a game drive but our stay was too short. Will definitely re-visit and recommend to other.
