What a find! This was really a pleasant surpise. We were in one of the Big Five chalets - secluded tucked away with a private Jacuzzi and two aircons in the chalet. The chalets are very well appointed - even a pair of scissors! The area around the chalet was immaculate. It is not a bif reserve, but enough to feel "away". One can rent a golf cart for R 70-00 per hour, and do a self-drive game vieweing trip. That was very special. Other activities include mini-golf, swimming pools, tennis, driving range and many more! There is a small shop with the basics. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is also wel priced. We will be back (although we live in the Cape)!

We went caravaning.

Grassed stands

Neat bathrooms

Braai on the stand

Good shop

Lovely 'bosveld' climate

Tennis, put put, pools.

Child friendly.

Dog friendly.

Golfcarts for hire to do game viewing, i would suggest that carts do not enter camping area. They kick up a lot of dust, especially when used as race cars.

Sometimes no toiletpapier in ablution.

We will return for another stay.

Good afternoon Francois, Thank you very much for the feedback. A new rule has been implemented as from today that no golf cart will be allowed to enter the caravan park area again. Apologies for the lack of toilet paper. This will also be taken care of as from today. Kind Regards, Louise Hopkins 0827724747

We stayed in the Impala chalet. It was very clean and we were surprised with all the little extras it had to make our stay even more pleasurable. The chalets are private and have lovely braai areas. Well kept. Entertainment area was lovely. Friendly personnel as well. Good value for money! Can't wait to visit again.

We spent 3 glorious nights at Bush n Buck in their Buffalo Chalet...the units are ideal for a family of 4.

The chalets are all very privately tucked away in the bush with a private piping hot Jacuzzi for your personal use. This feature makes it an ideal winter escape destination. The chalets and their surrounds are very well maintained daily by super efficient and friendly staff.

It was midweek so the place was quiet but they were gearing up for a busy weekend. Game drives are done in a self drive hired golf cart which is a load of fun...the game on the farm are fairly easy to spot and often come close to the chalets. The bird life is also a treat and gather around the dining table hoping for a few crumbs. The play grounds are also immaculately maintained and a great destination for kids to make new friends.

Bush n Buck is a little over 2 hours from JHB...we experienced a slight delay in road works between Brits and the resort but that will completed soon and make your journey all the lot easier.

My husband and I decided to ‘go camping’ for our wedding. Bush n Buck offered exactly what we needed, a combination of chalets, caravan and tent stands as well as a ‘glamping’ option. The facilities are neat, clean and very well looked after. The staff is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. I will definitely enjoy a few anniversaries there!

We stayed for 3 nights over a long weekend in December, which is normally peak time. We stayed in the birds nest, which is perfect for two people, including a double bed, cupboards, bar fridge, fan, pots, pans, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, knifes, forks, spoons, chairs (2 of each), cutting knife and cutting board. There is also a small braai and a communal area that has more braais, 4 or 5 gas plates and a microwave. Being a little bit away from the camp site it was quiet and peaceful. The entertainment area has 3 cold pools, a warm pool, 2 slides, outdoor chess, putt putt, driving range and tennis. The kiosk stocks basic items and also does meals such as toasted sandwiches and hake and chips. There is a small games arcade with pool table. The game farm has about 7 species of buck, and it makes for a good morning or early evening walk before the gates are locked. You can also hire a golf cart for the farm. Security often patrol the parameter, so I was happy with the level of security. Toilets are showers are cleaned daily, and bins are also emptied daily - I was very impressed with the cleanliness. Overall I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and left feeling very calm and relaxed.

Let me firstly start by saying that we went there due to a referral and had certain expectancies experience similar to my work colleague. We were so wrong... The place is really well priced and got so much potential, only to be let down due to bad planning and not providing a solution. It all started with a power failure during the 1st night of our stay. The chalets are not greatly lit with natural light, even in broad daylight, so it was a mission getting your way in the morning as only 1 x candle was provided. The water was not warm anymore for shower and we decided to go and explore the area with the hope of the power returning. Power only came back very late in the afternoon, only to go off again later on. The next morning we had NO water? No feedback from management and the only feedback received was what was gathered by myself. Why not communicated this to your customers and/or provide them with additional lighting (more candles or lamps)? I was not happy with their poor response that it is in fact South Africa and power failures do happen and you should be prepared. We were not camping!!! If I use a caravan or tents then I'm always prepared, Really a poor response. I will personally not recommend them at all! They could have saved the day with a better response to me and I would have given them another go, but they failed in doing just that...

we took a short family trip to Bush 'n Buck and with was lovely. we stayed in the Hippo chalet which had three rooms, two which had double beds and aircon and the other had two single beds. the yard if I can call it that around the chalet was really well looked after and so spacious for picnics and braais outside. to top it off we had a Jacuzzi of our own to hang out in. there are pools, tennis court and jungle gyms for the kids. the little store was really well kitted out so if you wanted to hit the driving range and forgot clubs they could help out. I would strongly suggest a visit to bush 'n buck and it is not even that far from Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Spacious camp stands, clean abulutions, serviced daily. Lovely shade trees, green grass, friendly staff. Pet friendly.
Variety of antilope, nice short hikes, and battery driven golf cars to rent to drive around with.

Will come again.

This was the second time I visited Bush n Buck, first time was with friends and the second with my wife.
Making a booking is seamless Mmapula and Louise are very responsive, on my last visit we happened to be the only ones who booked in and Louise upgraded us to the stands with private ablution facilities which are always clean, thanks to the staff that carry out their duties fastidiously.
The game drive in the go-karts is always a highlight, the grounds are incredulously well kept. I can't wait to return for the THIRD time later this year!
