Hi, we truly enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent and the service even better.

I unfortunately have 1 concern to raise. The toilet is leaking when you flush, while the floor is wet from this leak there is un unforgiving smell that overwhelms the whole experience. Please have it looked at.
Thanks
Gerrit

A great accommodation option for people visiting soussesvlei. Excellent service and food, coupled with a great view. Each room comes with a splash pool and the staff is always willing to help and assist. The place even has self catering options.

We had an absolute lovely Time.

Hannes was very Welcoming as well as all the other Staff. We had a very lovely dinner Braaing on the Friday, and such a delicious Meal from the Restaurant the Saturday evening. Breakfast was also nothing short of 5 Star. Everything on the Menu is also offered at very reasonable prices.

Room and bathroom was also nice and clean and well looked after.

Thank you everyone for making our Weekend so special, we will definately be back!

We were a little hesitant as we drove up and saw the wooden chalets, but we were so glad we stayed here. Our chalet had huge views on 3 sides, a huge comfortable bed, shower with a view (and toilet with a view), and a private balcony. The sunset view over the valley is unparalleled. Exceptionally clean, large room.
They accommodated us for a vegetarian meal (with advance notice) that was really excellent. We were the only people at the lodge when we stayed (soon after covid reopening) but we still got the full service for dinner and an amazing breakfast spread.
Parking is near reception and you have to walk on a path to the chalet, so the self-catering option isn't really practical, but meals are excellent and reasonably priced. Our self catering suite had a fridge, electric kettle, dishes, and braii, but no indoor cooking facilities.
We would come back here just for the sunset :)

We always used to spot this gem from the C19 road, situated up against the mountains. And finally we booked and were so impressed. We received a friendly and generous welcome by staff; we arrived just in time for their coffee and cake time. Suite 1 (self-catering) is totally private, with the best views; with a large room and the bathroom is totally separate (enjoy the sunset from your bathtub). Dinner buffet and the breakfast spread were excellent with great choices, compliments to the chef. Just make sure at night, you spray the room for mosquitoes well in advance before you sleep. One night was too short...we would like to come back here for the warmer months, so we can enjoy this beautiful place to the fullest with a braai and the pool.

This is one of my favourite lodges in Namibia. The views are what sets this lodge apart.
Other plusses: Large comfortable rooms very private. Each room is a seperate unit with a small plunge pool. Super friendly manager and staff. Food is excellent.
Small, quiet chilled lodge. Amazing for star viewing.

The overall experience was good, the most wonderful location and views from the rooms., one cannot fault that. The staff are incredibly friendly and warm.
Main point of feedback is that the interiors & furniture needs an upgrade, if one looks around at the lodges around the area there is no margain for "less than" , the rooms inside are comfortable but not " instagram worthy" to put it in modern terms. The actual furniture/interior definitely needs a refresh. Rooms can do with coffee machines ( we had a luxury suite with a kettle plug in and plunger, however can definitely do with a Nespresso machine as it will help take the place to a more modern level)

We had a delightful couple nights here and would absolutely stay here again.

First, the view. THE VIEW! Absolutely incredible to look out on the Namib desert landscape from halfway up a hill. Sunsets to die for.

Now let's talk food... delicious homemade food prepared to order. The homemade soups and breads were delightful and the desserts were the perfect endings to fantastic days.

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and we were grateful for the fan that was standard in each room. Comfy beds!

If you're a photographer, really consider staying here because there's no light pollution and you can do some fantastic astrophotography.

Lastly, the service was spectacular and really lovely.

The tented lodge has stunning views and the staff goes the extra mile. When we mentioned how much we loved the salat dressing, first thing the next morning we’ve got the recipe hand written by the chef. And the dogs were the cherry on the iced cake. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
The owner gave us directions how to shortcut to our next destination and answered all questions about Sossusvlei and the park.
Can recommend the lodge 100%, even the wifi drop outs in the evening couldn’t justify for a less better rating as in a place like this you want to only feel nature and friendly people.

Not sure if there is A/C or not. I do recall ceiling fans. While at about 25 degrees latitude, it is in the dessert and in October it was chilly at night. We did not need A/C There were 18 chalets/huts. best contact them directly.

We stayed at the lodge in November. They weren't doing the trip the deadvlei any more. We drove there ourselves. Takes about 40 mins each way.

I am not sure only because usually the hot air balloon rides go up early in the morning so you would probably get there the night before. My concern is where are you going to next, how far will you need to travel. Reason is there isn't much there in that area of Namibia, very few stops where you can get gas, etc. It is such an awesome place, hope you have a great time. (PS I don't think you would need more than 4-6 hours there, do you plan on climbing one of the dunes? consider time for that)

Dear Carlos, sorry for the delay in answering your question. You are welcome to bring light clothing that is easy to pack. There is no formal dress code at Moon Mountain Lodge. Something warm for the cool mornings and evenings. The rest of the day is moderate to hot.
