We stayed here for 2 nights as it was only 40 minutes drive from the sand dunes of Sossusvlei. The road to get there from either direction is a gravel road so it wasn’t the easiest of drives. The lodge is on the side of a hill , so you can see it well before you get there.

My wife and I stayed at this marvelous lodge for 2 nights. We used it as a jumping off point to drive to Sossusvlei.
Nicholas Pienaar built this lodge over a 2 year period as a luxury tented lodge into the side of a small mountain. It was fabulous accommodation and the food –

I stayed at this hotel/tent, some accommodations are further from the main lobby than others, but nothing unacceptable. the views are great, some animals at a distance by a water hole. The interiors are very comfortable. There is a hot tub nicely located next to the room entrance

Stayed here for 1 night as part of our tour package. This place blew me away - wondrous views of the great plains and mountains in the distance. We saw a couple of oryxes by the waterhole from the viewing point. Definitely a welcome view after a long drive from the airport. Loved

What a great experience it was to stay at Moon Mountain Lodge. Food was great, and staff were really friendly. Large bed was really comfy. We were quite apprehensive about the room having no lock, but everything was fine. We locked all valuables in our cases. Had no issues at all

Dear Alka, We appreciate your review and honesty. It was a pleasure hosting you at Moon ML! There are unfortunately guests who do not always understand the difficulty of running a lodge in a challenging environment with circumstances that are not always favorable. We are in Africa and Namibia is still a unique destination, we hope you will return one day again to come and enjoy the stars and our hospitality. Happy travels

Hi. How much is the trip into deadvlei/ sesriem canyon if booked through the lodge. What time does it depart/get back? Thanks
We stayed at the lodge in November. They weren't doing the trip the deadvlei any more. We drove there ourselves. Takes about 40 mins each way.

Hi, If my partner and I would like to do the hot balloon safari and see deadvlei and dune 45, will 1 night here be enough? Thanks.
I am not sure only because usually the hot air balloon rides go up early in the morning so you would probably get there the night before. My concern is where are you going to next, how far will you need to travel. Reason is there isn't much there in that area of Namibia, very few stops where you can get gas, etc. It is such an awesome place, hope you have a great time. (PS I don't think you would need more than 4-6 hours there, do you plan on climbing one of the dunes? consider time for that)

Gracias
Dear Carlos, sorry for the delay in answering your question. You are welcome to bring light clothing that is easy to pack. There is no formal dress code at Moon Mountain Lodge. Something warm for the cool mornings and evenings. The rest of the day is moderate to hot.

Buon viaggio!
