Take time out to discover a piece of Paradise tucked away in the heart of one of Cape Town’s most exclusive suburbs. Complete tranquility and privacy are afforded down a long tree-lined driveway. Patios and decks overlook a lush garden and huge pool, with a stunning uninterrupted view of the mountain. A casual, easy come-easy go ambiance exists, suiting business & vacationers equally. Self-Catering is recommended as each suite has a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, plus braai/barbecue facilities are available in the garden. Conveniently situated to the city, the village of Claremont with its restaurants and Cavendish shopping centre, and gyms, and world class hospitals eg the Kingsbury. Beaches and golf courses are all about 15 mins away. And of course the world famous Kirstenbosch Garden is within walking distance!

We enjoyed our stay Torquay Avenue, great views of Table Mountain, good location for Newlands Cricket Ground and shops. Rose was a excellent host and made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. We felt very welcome and safe in this property.

Friends had selected this because of its location - a 30-minute walk from Newlands, the reason for our visit to Cape Town.It is in a beautiful location, a stunning garden with views over to Table Mountain. Rose was very accommodating, allowing early check in and late check out (although in the end we didn't need this).

Rooms are beautiful and clean, and the hostess is an absolute charm! I had the privilege of booking into the Patio Suite, which looks onto an immaculate garden and pool. The neighbours are so well hidden that you can easily forget that you are in the middle of a suburb. Sitting on the patio for breakfast with the most amazing mountain view is so rejuvenating. Will definitely book here again!

I had an excellent stay in 18A Torquay Ave. It is a beautiful house sourrounded by a large and beautiful garden with swimming pool. My room was ample and comfortable, with large windows and excellent view to the garden. But the most important aspect is the warm hospitality of Rosemary, who takes a real care of their guests. She made me feel at home in her house and helped me a lot to find my way in Cape Town. And she prepared every morning a wonderfull breakfast for me!

I had a wonderful stay in Cape Town's boutique hotel Torquay. It is centrally located, easy to find and has a lovely private and safe garden setting with a inviting crystal blue pool. The room was beautifully decorated and more than comfortable enough for me.Breakfast was a 5 star affair and I really enjoyed the warm and friendly hospitality that I experienced throughout my stay.I will definitely return and can highly recommend it to anyone!
