We spent 8 nights at this wonderful guest house. The perfect location for not just the cricket, but a peaceful haven from which to explore Cape Town, with a good choice of local restaurants too. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The pool looked enticing although sadly we had no time to use it, but to have our own outdoor area was a welcome bonus. Our landlady Roley was the perfect host, offering assistance when needed and is now a new found friend. We will be back most definitely.

Beautifully appointed rooms, well equipped kitchen, full DSTV bouquet and WiFi.
Situated in the heart of Claremont which is central to the southern suburbs and a short drive to the highways that lead to the mother cities major attractions.

I strongly recommend this beautiful guesthouse and Roley was a more than accommodating host.

We had a fabulous stay at Glencoy for 6 nights. Roley was very easy to correspond with and attentive to our needs. The rooms were very clean and well appointed and location is amazing. Roley did go the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We will be back when next in Cape Town.

Glencoy is a wonderful home from home offering 2 apartments in a peaceful Cape Town suburb with easy access to the city and main sights. It is well equipped with many thoughtful extra touches. The pool and garden is lovely with loungers and umbrella. But what sets Glencoy apart is the kind owner who really goes the extra mile to ensure her guests are comfortable. We spent a happy month at Glencoy and will certainly return. Many of Glencoy's guests return regularly. Truly lovely place.

Thank you for your great review Diane and Roger. We so loved having you and will miss you as you became "part of the family". I do hope that we will see you again.... and hopefully when Cape Town is green again. You were absolutely marvelous with helping with our water-saving efforts, thank you!

We stayed at Glencoy self catering guest house for 6 days in November 2016. The owner, Roley, was absolutely amazing. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. The location is superb, accommodation is secure, very quiet and peaceful and most of all - very very central and convenient.Absolute pleasure to stay there. We would recommend this accommodation to any visitors to Cape Town.

We spent an entire month of March 2016 here while working at University of Cape Town. Flat 1 (at the front) has an extra bedroom that we used as a study. It has a private walled garden in front where we ate most meals. Excellent queen bed, small kitchen, and fabulous bathroom with enormous glassed-in shower and separate tub. All had been recently renovated. High quality sheets, towels, etc. We had the use of the owner's garden and pool (though it was a bit cold for me). Parking was inside the locked gate. About a 10-minute walk to Cavendish Square shopping center that has everything you could want. It's possible to walk to the main campus of UCT in 45 minutes, but there is also the Jammie shuttle bus at no cost from Cavendish area. For the second part of our stay we moved into the back flat, which was excellent and somehow more spacious even though it did not have a separate extra bedroom. Laundry facilities included. Internet was good, TV reception was spotty due to weather and a faulty plug, which our hostess had fixed quickly. Daily cleaning service provided. If you have a car, this is a great location to explore the Cape peninsula, Constantia, winelands, etc. Driving to city center at rush hour is not to be recommended, but is fine after 9:30 a.m. Roley was an excellent hostess, very responsive to every request, and became a friend as well. We will do our best to get another invitation to spend a month at the university and return here. It was an ideal place for us.

My wife and I stayed in the Zola suite at Glencoy for eleven nights over the New Year. I had been in touch with Roley for over twelve months regarding staying at Glencoy and communication with her was perfect.

On our day of arrival we were able to go straight into the apartment at 9.30 am, the apartment was free so this was marvellous for us after being on a early morning flight from Durban.

From the very beginning Roley made us feel comfortable with her warm personality, nothing is too much trouble for her, she puts her guests first and goes out of her way to be helpful.

The Zola suite was perfect with everything you could ask for, full satellite tv for sports lovers, a kitchen with all facilities, bathroom with walk in shower, a comfortable living room area and large bedroom. Outside we had our own private patio area with furniture, perfect for a warm summers evening. There is also a large, clean swimming pool which you are free to use at any time.

You have your own private entrance and security is of the highest order.

The shopping centre is ten minutes walk with everything you need for your stay. The train station is fifteen minutes walk with trains into Cape Town on a regular basis taking twenty minutes. We used the train every day with no problems.

All in all we had a marvellous stay at Glencoy, we could not fault anything but the highlight was Roley who really is the perfect host.

We arrived early but nevertheless were warmly welcomed and this set the tone for our stay. Travelling en famille we took over both apartments which were well appointed. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess even down to leaving a nest of chocolate eggs on the table outside our rooms on Easter Day. Roley (Rosemary) was very helpful with advice and suggestions about ways to make the most of our stay in CT. 3 mins drive from Claremont for shops, 5 mins to Kirstenbosch and 15 mins to the Waterfront, so well located.
