We booked a 2 night stay with 4 game drives. Breakfasts and dinners included. We had the best experience staying at Morekuri the owners and their great team are just fabulous, they made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Tyne highlight for us was the last day, driving back from our game drive we were lucky to see a family of cheetahs, and to see the mother kill an impala which was an amazing experience. I cannot wait to return to Morekuri.

What a fabulous stay with our two children aged 11 & 13. We were collected at our hotel by the owners Kobie & Jacques, you won’t find more hospitable or passionate hosts. They could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Our Safari tent was beautifully equipped with hot water shower, roll top bath, flushing toilet, small fridge, complimentary tea & coffee, hair dryer. The double bed was comfortable & the children shared a sofa bed. Breakfast & dinner was included, the food was lovely & service was friendly. There is a small pool which the children enjoyed splashing around in. We went on four game drives, each an exciting & magical experience. It was definitely worth the 0445 wake up call! We saw, lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetah, zebra, wart hogs, wildebeest, jackal, impala’s galore! The rangers were extremely knowledgeable & enjoyed sharing their experiences. Jacques & Kobie you have made our visit so memorable. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we are so sad to leave.

Room Tip: Pack warm clothes, even on the hottest of days, it gets chilly out on the game drives

My friend and I have just returned from our trip to Morekuri for a night at the lodge and 2 x game drives. From start to finish the experience was absolutely incredible. Kobie and Jacques were so attentive and catered to our every need. Jennifer was also very lovely and helpful. The food was outstanding, and accommodation was very comfortable. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We booked at package with Morekuri that included an afternoon/evening game drive, an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast included, followed by an early morning game drive. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The owners of the lodge are a lovely couple and do everything to make you feel so welcome. The accommodation is beautiful, with all the amenities needed for a short stay. The food was perfect, excellent quality and really good portions. All staff at the lodge were friendly and very helpful. We couldn’t recommend Morekuri enough. It was our first safari experience and we cannot wait for our next one!

Myself and two friends stayed the night at MoreKuri . We had THE MOST FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!! The owners and staff could not do enough for us to make our stay so special. Attention to detail was perfect. The tent was beautiful and clean and more than we expected. We would highly recommend this lodge. We are all fussy and we could not fault and aspect of our stay. We loved it and will remember it always!!!! Thank you for looking after us so well.

My husband and I stayed here for one night which definitely wasn’t enough time as we were having so much fun and didn’t want our trip to end. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the lodge by Jack, we had a very comfortable drive and we’re greeted in reception by Kobi and the team with a refreshing welcome drink. Our luggage was taken for us to our tented accommodation and we were escorted a short 1 minute walk. Wow, I’ve never seen such luxury in a tent. We arrived about 2pm and our first game drive was 4pm so we had time to take a dip in the pool which was only another 1 minute walk away from our tent. We were picked up and driven to mongena lodge to take our jeep safari. This was an amazing experience, we saw white rhino, water buffalo, blue wilderbeast, kudu, impala, many bird, giraffe, zebra, jackal and many more. Drinks and snacks were provided on a stop just before heading back to the lodge. Dinner was a fillet steak for us and was so good, chocolate fondant and ice cream for dessert. Our table was set out beautifully at my husbands request as it was my birthday the next day. The early morning game drive was equally as spectacular as the previous evening but remember to pack some warm clothes as it can be quite chilly before the sun comes up. We had amazing luck and got to see a heard of elephants on this drive. The ranger dean was really knowledgeable about all of the wildlife in the area and kept our interest even when there was nothing in sight. Breakfast was equally as good as dinner, served by such friendly staff. I have been on three safaris in South Africa and I would highly recommend morekuri in every aspect of the stay and time we spent here. Many thanks to Jack, Kobi and team for taking such good care of us. We will definitely be visiting you again.

A friend and I booked Morekuri after several recommendations by work colleagues . It’s situated about an hour from the hotel we were staying at in Johannesburg. They provided hotel pick up and drop off and airport transport was also an option. The Lodge grounds and pool area were immaculate; accommodation was glamping, massive tent and a stunning jaw dropping interior. A shower and a stand alone bath. A double bed plus a sofa bed, ideal to share with my friend. The Game drives were run by a neighbouring Lodge, and was exceptional in all aspects. And then onto the food, wow! Morekuri opens its doors as an a la carte restaurant to non residents. Honestly the dinner and breakfast were both divine, well presented, ample portions and just delicious!! Wine and bar prices were low too. An all inclusive package was provided at a very reasonable price considering it was exceptional in all areas. Kobi and Jacques were welcoming and hospitality was above and beyond.

I stayed at morekuri safari lodge for one night. My stay was all you could ask for. The luxury tents are in no way inferior to a hotel room, with plenty of hot running water and amenities. The steak I had for dinner was outstanding and breakfast was also good. Morekuri relies on another game lodge for the game drives but the reserve they’re in (Dinokeng reserve) is very well looked after and we had the pleasure to see many animals. It’s a family run business so the owners really look after you. I would definitely come back.
