Golden Impalas is advertised as a 5 star lodge. It should be a 3 maximum. The people were friendly but this is NOT a 5 star lodge. Very poor set-up, rudimentary decor, substandard food. Sorry I hate throwing people under the bus but tourists paying a lot need to be aware of this.

We enjoyed it a lot. A bit over priced for the South African Market. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the game drives. Not all of the things as advertised on facebook were there, for example the afternoon tea. However the staff, quality of food etc made up for this.

I can't express enough how attentive and amazing the staff were in all areas. form pick up to drop off we had a 5 star experience. I have previously stayed at other places in the surrounding areas and nothing compares. it was my partners birthday and after coming back from a late game drive they had turned down the room with happy birthday towels rose petals and a candle lit bath with bubbles which really made it special for us.

What a beautiful spot. We had 2 nights booked, which included 2 game drives, breakfast and dinner. Golden Impalas delivered on all aspects. The team are friendly, knowledgeable and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. A special mention to Danny, Blessing and Goodman for making our stay fantastic! The rooms: Massive villas, with a beautiful plunge pool overlooking the bush. Rooms are very large, and the beds are comfortable. Best nights sleep we had in our whole two weeks. The lodge: The facilities are wonderful. A cozy bar, with great balcony overlooking the game reserve. The restaurant had great food and drink options. service was fantastic, and a boma fire can be enjoyed on a non windy night! Nice swimming pool and gardens to enjoy inbetween game drives. Game drives: Goodman our driver was so knowledgeable. The information he shared about all our sightings was interesting and detailed. We had three drives with him, and all three were a great experience. The staff: A massive shoutout to all the staff here at Golden Impalas. Danny who was our main go to man just went above and beyond at every opportunity. All other staff were very friendly and helpful. A place we will definitely be back to and recommend to everyone. Absolutely fantastic 4 night stay at Golden Impalas. We travelled as a family, from the UK with our 2 children aged 11 and 13, who loved the experience as much as we did. Everything about the resort is 5 star, the suites are large and luxurious, and having your own private pool is such a bonus. Food was delicious and the game drives wonderful. We saw 4 of the big 5, thanks to Goodman our driver who knows the bush like the back of his hand and is a wealth of knowledge. The staff are all so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Samson and Tinashe too who looked after us so well. Thank you for having us Golden Impalas, we will be back! The North Lewis Familu.

The venue was beautiful with views into the bush, very comfortable and clean suits. Staff was very helpful and friendly and great field guides. If you are self catering you might want to ask the restaurant kitchen for a few pots and pans. Otherwise we will definitely come back.

Wow what an amazing place and amazing staff. We were treated like kings and queens. Nothing was too small or too big a task. In the Dinokeng Nature Reserve, the resort is perfectly located just over an hour's drive from Joburg. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Game drives are offered at a reasonable price and there are many facilities - swimming pool, conference center, spa.
