We enjoyed our romantic breakaway at this Game Lodge immensely. The Lodge is peaceful and the service was really great. The food was amazing and the Chef was very friendly and even offered us some of his homemade chili sauce. The shisanyama was delicious and very reasonably priced. We received excellent service from all but in particular from Lucky and Karabo.

We enjoyed a stay at Ritsako over the festive season. It was really wonderful. The staff could not do enough for us from the moment we arrived. We stayed at a self catering villa however we enjoyed the facilities of the lodge including a superb lunch at the restaurant on Christmas day. The Boma is magical at night, dinner on the deck above the dam memorable and the game viewing is second to none. I would highly recommend Ritsako.

Lovely stop off at the bar after an afternoon of driving lessons. 🚙 Scratched car - no clue left or right!! Have to mention they have some of the cleanest toilets I’ve ever used in the world at Ritsako Game Lodge!! 🍷 🦒 👍🏻

Visited with my 2 children aged 5 and 7. Nice and peaceful place to unwind. A lot of game in the Dinokeng conservancy/ reserve (all the big 5) so be careful when driving out of lodge while still in reserve. We had a cheetah Mom as and 5 cubs passing the gate! Rooms are clean. Restaurant ok would recommend you bring extra snacks if you come with kids. They also have a bar. There're 2 different routes to get here, 1 not ideal for average sedan pls be sure to check you're on correct route.

Our third stay at Ritsako Game Lodge, necessitated by a horrific experience at Tamboti Bush Lodge. We had to checkout of Tamboti Bush Lodge and needed an immediate booking to getaway from that experience. Ritsako provided us with a room and as usual, we were extremely happy with their property and service. As it turns out after the heavy rains, Ritsako Game Lodge also now has a lake next to it!, attracting lots of various birds!

Ritsako is beautiful, with spacious rooms. Lots of birds at the lodge in the morning. Their restaurant serves great food. Located within the self-drive routes of Dinokeng Game Reserve. We loved it so much that we immediately booked another stay!

Ritsako is really beautiful, clean and well-kept. You feel a sense of tranquility when you get there. The B&B rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The pools are clean and spacious enough for everyone. The restaurant staff were so friendly and professional. Our only problem was with Helen at Reception, she made our experience unpleasant from when we arrived when she told us we could not enter with our own drinks but allowed all the other B&B guests in with cooler boxes and food in plastic bags. The second incident was Helen telling us that she had booked our game drive for 15:30 only to call us on the day at 14:45 to tell us that if we are not there by 15:00 she would have to cancel, which she did even though she did not share this info with us in advance. On the day we were checking out we wanted to pay the conservation fee only to be told that Reception cannot take payment any by the way the fee was double of what was on the invoice and we couldn't get a clear explanation for this.

Spent 2 days at Ritsako game lodge and really enjoyed the peaceful simple offering - everything from the wonderful friendly service to the tasty food to the relaxed ambiance. Well situated in the Dinokeng game reserve the lodge is a perfect place for family, couples, friends or team breakaways. The rooms are very comfortable with all the teas and coffees required. The food is simple, fresh and tasty, with quite a few nice desserts. Service is excellent - friendly and ‘present’ - nothing is a hassle, everything is done with great warmth - 5 stars! The boma and fire area is okay - needs some more ambiance- some games and activities are available- pool table, table tennis. The reserve is really great, not huge herds, but a lot of activity - some nice game and birds seen - beautiful sunsets A young lodge that still has some work to do, but is really getting the right things right - keep doing what you are doing Thanks for a great experience - so close to the city, I’m surprised the reserve is not busier - possibly a hidden gem, but well worth the visit

Review based on reception & self catering unit only. Checked out after 1 night. Bedside lights not connected - cords unable to reach plug points. Two long extension leads brought in to assist us. No towel rails in bathrooms. No luggage racks. Aircon in bedrooms only - unit very hot in March & fan in lounge area noisy & ineffective to cool unit at 6pm in evening. 2nd fan was provided later. No key for other main door (also an emergency door) as "they don't use it". Could have helped create a through draft. Cement splatters on windows - 18 months after opening! Spider webs surrounding windows. Ice tray & kitchen sink plug broken. Wall safe not mounted - anyone can walk off with your valuables. Most blinds damaged. Braai area not completed - loose bricks and no shade for seating area.

I recently attended a conference and also spent a night at the Ritsako lodge. The conference: The boardroom was well equipped (projector, sound system, screen, aircon, and often overlooked, enough wall sockets spread around the room!) and everything ran without a hitch. A member of staff was always on standby if we needed a helping hand. For coffee breaks, a table was prepared just outside the boardroom with a lovely assortment of snacks, muffins, tea and coffee. The rest of the lodge: The rooms are in pristine condition - without a doubt one of the cleanest and most well prepared hotel rooms I've been in. Buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners (on the patio, next to a beautiful bonfire) were a real treat. For the more playful and competitive folks, there are pool tables, table tennis and volleyball equipment on site, along with two pools. All the staff members were fantastic. Be it business, family trips or a weekend getaway - I would highly recommend them.
