We were greeted by our host Margaret with a beautiful smile. Her B&B is clean, welcoming and quiet. It sits up on a hill with a great view of downtown Kinsale. We were close enough to walk down to Kinsale and do some shopping. Our breakfast was delicious and Margaret made us feel like part of her family. Thank you for your hospitality Margaret! We look forward to seeing you on our next trip to Ireland. Warmly, The Serafini's

What a lovely experience!!! Traveling around Ireland with a long time friend. Chose Ashgrove B & B because of the location near central Kinsale and are so glad we did! Margaret was the perfect hostess....friendly and helpful. Wonderful attention to detail in her home. En suite bathrooms were updated and beds comfortable with high-quality linens. Loved the tea service and biscuits in our room. We wish we had booked another night. Breakfast was delicious and served in a sunny room overlooking her garden. Stay here....you’ll be so glad you did.

Very clean and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Also, the location is perfect. Walking distance to the center of Kinsale. I would definitely recommend this for a couple of days for sure. Beautiful vistas

We stayed her for one night during a recent Irish road trip. We thought it was lovely. The location is excellent - nice and quiet but a short walk to all the restaurants and pubs. The rooms are small but have everything you need, and are thoughtfully furnished. Breakfast was very nice, with a lot of care applied to crockery and service. Margaret was professional, courteous, and helpful, and left us to our own devices, which is exactly what we like. We'd stay again.

This B&B is in a great location.......although we did have a bit of trouble locating it. Once we did, the hostess was welcoming. Everything was nice and tidy! Wifi was available. No problem with adjusting our arrival time to 7:00p. She doesn't accept credit cards so you need to have cash to settle up. This was no problem since we had asked ahead of time and were prepared. Nice and sunny breakfast room to enjoy the yummy breakfast provided. We would not hesitate to recommend staying at Ashgrove B&B!

We stayed 2 nights. The location, just short walk into town center, but still a house with a car park (not a townhouse with on street parking) was very nice. The room was a little cramped, not a lot of space beyond the bed and furnishings. But it was nice enough. The host Margaret was nice enough, just not as outgoing and openly friendly as most of our other B&B hosts.

I was shocked to find out the the host Margaret turns off the hot water during the day. My daughter wanted to take a shower at around 2:00 in the afternoon and was very frustrated to find NO hot water. Because Margaret works during the day, there was no one to talk to about this. Beyond our frustration with NO hot water, I found her to be less than kind and helpful. I would NOT recommend this B and B. The other places we stayed had hot water and friendly hosts. I was surprised in retrospect to read such positive comments given our negative experience.

Great location for a quick walk to down town. Breakfast was yummy. Margaret went above and beyond. Margaret is a lovely host. Very friendly, and helpful with local suggestions. We stayed for 3 nights. Room was cozy.

Margaret is a quiet hostess, but she was attentive to our needs and her breakfast was delicious! We were placed in the room with two twin beds, so that was slightly disappointing, but considering the other couples staying that same night were 20+ years older than us, we understood. Our bathroom was a nice size. The home is centrally located to restaurants and shopping, so once our car was parked, we just left it and walked to lunch at Blue Haven Café and dinner at The Shack - both were great!

We stayed one night at the Ashgrove B&B. It took a long time to find the B&B - the streets of Kinsale are very tight and hard to get around and the location would not come up on our GPS. We finally found it by asking directions to the community college which is right across the road. The room was very tight because the bed was large which was just fine with us. It was comfortable and clean and we slept well. The best part is the location (once you find it) because it is close to the town and the center of things, You can park your car and not drive the crazy streets of Kinsale and hunt parking (although we did get lost walking back and had to ask directions again!). Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely breakfast room.
