I really can't say enough about Pax Guest House! Our room was spectacular with its excellent view of the harbor! Morning breakfast is still on my mind as I have tried, rather unsuccessfully, to mimic the lovely omlet John prepared for me. We really couldn't...More
We arrived at Pax House after dark and were assured we would have our breaths taken away at the view when we awoke, boy were we right! We stayed in the top of the house and had our own seating area on the balcony overlooking...More
My daughter, son-in-law and I were so surprised as to the amazing view you see just
walking in. The B & B was the best we stayed in for the whole 10day trip. The owner was lovely with his service, humor, and chef ability. The...More
We spent 5 glorious nights in John O'Farrell's wonderful bed & breakfast. Each day began with a gourmet breakfast and ended with a relaxing nightcap on the veranda. The view of Dingle Bay is at once breathtaking and calming. The rooms were very comfortable and...More

Your best bet to help select the room that is right for you is to email the owner, John O’Farrell through the Pax House website with your dates. He helped me choose the first year I stayed with him. I’ve stayed there twice (in November). I don’t think you can go wrong with any room at Pax House. There are great views from the lounge for all guests and a terrace that is accessible from the lounge. But... if you have a sea view room, you could turn off your lights at night to see the view with no reflections in glass windows... If you want a terrace room, you may be visible while in your room (with the blinds open) to other guests walking on the lawn. But I’m not sure about that. It was always something I considered when selecting a room. For that reason, I myself would probably opt for the Top of the House room given the rooms you are considering.
