This place is not your ‘run of the mill’ accommodation. It is so much more that just a B&B. The history that comes with Harlington Manor is enough, but the welcome from David is excellent. There is so much historical detail everywhere. Nothing is any trouble for David, and he will answer any historical question for you over a wholesome breakfast( very nice sausages, and bacon). Sleeping in the Kings Room was perfect, No TV, and with the curtains shut it is in complete darkness. The bed was 3ft plus off of the ground, with the most comfortable mattress. David also suggested The Bell for food, and the meze /tapas was just right ( although don’t order to much, as it always comes with bread, so quickly filled up). If you like history, and as David puts it - the house is old(very old) so there will creaks, draughts, and noises then this is a perfect base to travel around Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas

I find myself staying in lots of different hotels, motels and b&bs through work, I’d be more than happy to stay at this particular one again in the future. Such a wonderfully kind and attentive host (David, I believe) greeted me and made absolutely sure I was happy with the room, and everything in it (lots, by the way!). I rarely get to stay in a house with so much character, even my room was finished with little trinkets and features you wouldn’t normally see, as well as a jacuzzi bath and double-sink in the adjoining bathroom. I was given sound advice, too, on where best to eat in the evening. Breakfast was pre-booked the night before and freshly cooked to my liking the following morning, a gorgeous fruit salad with natural yoghurt followed by a lovely full-English breakfast. Overall I cannot fault this incredible house and it’s host, full marks!

The host David is a nice friendly guy and quite rightly explains on booking its a very old building and not the Savoy so don’t winge about no tv in room or creaky floors.
It represents value for money in accommodation and an opportunity to visit an historic home without breaking the bank.
Rooms are cosy and large and we stayed in Tabor room with a high four poster bed you climbed into before being met with comfort and cleanliness to ensure you sleep well.
Including a good full hot breakfast and wonderful grounds to enjoy.

Room Tip: Avoid Monday and Tuesday if you want to walk and eat locally as the local pubs closed for food.

Wow. What an amazing stay. After parking in the private drive we entered through a secure gate into. A walled, private oasis.
From the moment we arrived to when we left, the owner David made our stay personal and memorable. The manor is a beautiful building filled with stunning antiques styled in the most beautiful way.
Our room although packed with history and wonderful antique furniture, was cosy and homely. It was the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. At every turn you were presented with something beautiful to admire.
The owner was so helpful and informative, but also had the grace to give you personal space… the perfect host.
Breakfast was served in the historic and atmospheric dining room using quality, antique pieces to enhance the experience. The breakfast itself was one of the best we had had in any establishment.
Cannot wait to return to stay in this hidden gem again . The house certainly is amazing, but as a host David is the icing on this incredible cake. Thank you so much .

David is a fantastic host who has a great knowledge of the area. I was made to feel welcome and the breakfast was really well cooked, would recommend the full English. The house is like going back in time and is worth a visit just to see the inside of the building, oak floors and panels in all rooms. Really quiet location and I had two of the best nights sleep in ages, bathroom had a jacuzzi. Will be returning with my wife as this was a business trip, only 45 mins away from London on the train. Value for money, a gem.

A wonderful experience, from a well managed need to amend our reservation, a late evening arrival but a very friendly and informative one. The house is a gem, whilst some of the convenience of a modern build may be lacking these are more than compensated in many ways (nespresso machine, fresh milk, wine chiller etc.) . Our only disappointment was that a late arrival and early departure meant we couldn’t enjoy the house, grounds and hospitality to its full. We’ll certainly do so in the not too distant future.

I was driving up the M1 home tired late one Sunday evening and had to stop as I realised that I was probably too unsafe to carry on. I stop at the services and booked at room at the Manor as it was the closest place so broke all of my own rules about checking ratings etc. Despite turning up 10 minutes later dishevelled and shattered David was perfectly charming and unfazed. He showed me a better room than I’d booked and left me to sleep for which I am very grateful. It’s a beautiful, comfortable house with perfect little touches in the rooms. I didn’t sample the breakfast as I needed to drive home but would definitely recommend a stay from what I experienced. Amazing hospitality in a 5* setting. Thank you.

A wonderful, comfortable, welcoming and magnificent house. Lots of historical interest and character. The host was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the history of the house and local places to eat and drink. Our room was gorgeous - a one-time Tudor Great Hall with a vaulted ceiling and four poster bed. Our breakfast was cooked to perfection and served in a wonderful (running out of superlatives!) dining room.

From the instructions given on how to enter the property to the breakfast the next morning all great. If you want a place with character no place better. David was a perfect host and gave us good advice on the peculiarities of the accommodation like using the little stools to get into the very high bed!

Stayed here with conjunction with a yoga / meditation retreat and what a perfect setting.
The bedrooms and building overall were so interesting and I did real very special staying there.
The owners were amazing and they prepared all the meals. Sat around a large table with people I had never met before but the hosting setting and people made everything so so relaxed... shame the stay was so short.
Also got a historical tour of the Manor House which was so interesting and the owners took time out to do this which I felt was a special touch... very very interesting.
Have to also add that I am vegan and they accommodates all my needs before feeling like an inconvenience which I am so grateful about.
Honestly the owners are faultless amazing and really care about looking after you.
Would totally recommend this place.
