Shark & Shoal was such a tranquil experience it created such a peaceful retreat. I came to Umkomaas for the diving and felt so relieved my school suggested Shark & Shoal. Solia goes above and beyond for her guests. Going even so far as giving me a ride to catch an airport shuttle, since I didn’t realize there wouldn’t be Ubers in the area. I hope to return again, I enjoyed my stay tremendously.

We came to Umkomaas so I could dive at Aliwal. The first thing about Solia's place is the view. It is so tranquil to look up the river at the sunshine. As others have said before me, we were made very welcome and given so much information about surrounding restaurants, things to see etc. One morning I had to leave at 6:30 am to go diving and Esther said she'd be at the driveway to open the (normally powered) gate for me as it had a problem. That was typical of the help they all gave us. We miss you!

Really nice, place. Fantastic people. Wonderful landscape. I spent a marvelous time with Solia in her apartments. She was always ready to pick us up in her car, she prepared some special foods for us when we asked for it....
