Touring and camping site with a selection of luxury Glamping pods, from 2 berth to our new for 2018 6 berth luxury family glamping pod. Five star awarded facilities, and an idyllic location in the heart of the glorious and ancient Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, make us the ideal site to explore all the region has to offer. For those who want to venture a little further, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Hereford are only around a 30 minute drive from us. The market towns of Ross on Wye and Monmouth and the beautiful Symonds Yat and Wye Valley are 15-20 minutes drive. Also new for 2018 we are excited to announce that our on site shop and café is under new management, and the café will be offering cooked breakfast, lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals to our guests and local patrons. We are sure this will further add to the pleasure of a stay with us in 2018. We hope to welcome visitors both old and new in 2018 and look forward to seeing you all!

We have had an amazing May bank holiday weekend here, When I booked I was advised that we would be on a sloping pitch and it was definitely that so just be mindful and prepared. On arrival we were met by Emily who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The campsite has a small shop, and a restaurant (Flamin’ Edges) that sells the most amazing food and will even deliver to your tent. We had two evening meals and breakfast here (All served by the hardworking Emily) and it was all enjoyed, we appreciated the larger portions as well. We had a great time exploring the local area and had a sunny day out at Symonds Yat which was lovely. There is a park near to the campsite for the kids though they are able to play on the large grass area on site as well, there are also goats on site that the children can feed. There is a freezer for chilling cool blocks and a dish wash area, There is also a washing machine and dryer on site which take £3 tokens purchased at the shop (which also sells detergent if you end up forgetting your own). The shower and toilet facilities were clean and quiet when I went which was early in the mornings, and the water was nice and hot. All in all it is a really good campsite though I would avoid the sloping pitches if I was to return again. Thank you Emily and the Greenway Farm team.

We arrived to early to check in on the Sunday of the bank holiday expecting to have to wait and intending on having a cuppa and the kids an ice cream but our 4 berth pod was ready for us. We were shown around and allowed to unpack. Went back up to the reception to see if we could book a table for a late sunday lunch but no availability but Teresa arranged for our 4 roasts to be delivered to our pod. It was absolutely amazing and they served it on plates for us rather than takeaway. We took the plates back up and got an outside picnic table and ordered puds for us and the kids again I cant fault them. Having camped on various sites I have to say the facilities here were the cleanest I have ever seen and the staff the most helpful and friendliest. We got directions to the local park which was a 5 min walk mainly because the kids were looking thru binoculars in the woods. The site itself doesnt have play equipment but the park is right on the doorstep and my 8 and 5 year old spent the time playing football etc on the v large camping field. We had intended to either cook or eat out but the food at flaming edges was so amazing and reasonably priced we ate every meal there. I recommend the pancakes and the kids and hubby loved the full english. The site has a bar which is v well stocked for the grown ups and the kids loved the slushy and milkshakes.
Teresa and wayne were v good company and the girls were just lovely. It was such a welcoming site that am planning on rebooking next year.
We usually camp but the glamping pods were kitted out with everything you could think of and more even a tv which we only switched on once but the quality was good.
I cant recommend this site enough slightly reluctant to as dont want to share this gem! There area is really good for kids to explore and the site v safe.
The food is so good the locals come to the site and it just adds to the atmosphere.
If you have kids I would recommend the family friendly showers as they are slightly cooler for the kids.
Big thumbs up and cant wait to come back

What a beautiful little site!!

We stumbled across this lovely little campsite when browsing the internet and we sure are glad that we did. From the first minute through the gate the Greenway Farm staff were so welcoming and made us feel so settled from the get go.

Checking in process was quick and easy and then we were shown into the new ‘ sheds with beds’ which I must say was just the most fabulous accommodation we could have wished for. We stay at an awful lot of sites around the UK every year and this accommodation tops anywhere we have stayed before. The owners have mastered both interior and exterior finishes. We were located on a quiet part of the site which was just so peaceful in the evenings to sit on our raised decking area and have a bottle of wine with a bbq and fire going.

In terms of inside, the bed is just the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on and the layout is superb. The quality of bathroom and kitchen is superb and the tele/radio combination is a lovely touch for a rainy day. These sheds really do have everything you need for a nice couples break at a very very reasonable price.

Thank you again to Greenway Farm for the most wonderful stay with you guys and we will definitely be back!!

On arrival in our Motorhome we were met by a really friendly young, she walked us to our grass pitch and explained the site basics (water points, chemical waste etc). I asked 'whilst we were aware we had to be self sufficient can we at least use the dish washing facilities' and the answer was categorically NO blaming Boris for the rules. The site was really empty, us and another van, so I personally could not see an issue. Later that day it was obvious that they were renting out one of their huts with a family in. These huts have no washing facilities yet they COULD and DID use both the dish washing facilities and the communal showers and toilets. We also learnt that visitors to their eatery could also use the toilets. Now this is not right, if you’re going to stick to Boris's rules then the people renting the hut should have been self sufficient, the same rule that applied to us. Yes we did know that this was the case before we arrived but didn’t realise there were going to be exceptions to this rule.
What also compounds this is that there is no reduction in site fees to allow for the lack of facilities, we were charged full price for a bit of electric, water and disposing of our chemical waste.
The site is tidy, apart from the chemical waste disposal area which hasn’t seen a broom in goodness how long with masses of leaves that had fallen in the previous autumn in there. Wi-fi is very hit and miss, you expect more when Wi-fi is one of the advertised facilities, best not put it on there and manage people’s expectations.
Also what caught us out was the road noise, we expected (stupidly) staying on a farm in Gloucestershire that it as going to be a relatively peaceful place. We were wrong! The site is bounded by two roads and the traffic noise can start as early as 5:30 and go on quite late and some of the traffic is quite heavy commercial. We live in Essex in a small town and it’s quieter in our own back garden!
A positive is the site is well situated to visit places of interest and the Forest of Dean.
We wouldn’t return based on our experience but it may suit others but from what we saw this site certainly isn’t 5 star.

We stayed here with 3 other families for 3 nights. We requested that we could pitch together which was accepted. 4 great electric pitches situation alongside the pony and goats, who were very popular with the children. Plenty of space on the field to play games.

On site facilities were fantastic, and during this horrendous pandemic they were immaculate and cleaned more regularly. The only negative is that the showers are very hot, but this is constructive criticism. They could do with the temperature altering slightly.

On site food from flaming edges was brilliant, spoilt for choice on the menu. Takeaway pizza delivered to our tents.
Cafe/Shop was good, selling a variety of necessities.

BBQ's and open fires are permitted with bricks available to keep them off the floor.

The campsite is situated very close to some great days out. Puzzlewood is a must. Beechenhurst country park is beautiful.

We were made very welcome by Theresa, Wayne and team, a beautiful site and would love to return again.

Hubby surprised me with a dinner date, and what a wonderful surprise it was. This was our first visit to Greenway Farm and it was amazing. A lovely young man Adam greeted us at the door, (very Covid aware which made us feel secure), then showed us to our table. Our waitress Evelyn was wonderful too, attentive to our needs but not overly, we had the set Christmas menu, 3 courses for £25 per head, which we both agreed was exceptional value for money, we both had starters and the our main was ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection, hubby likes a pepper sauce but as it didn't come with it he asked and was duly served with the said sauce.

Everything including the sprouts were spot on compliments to the chef.We were so full we had to take our desserts home.

We were so impressed with the place, thank you especially to Eyelyn and Adam, both were professional and curtious at all times. We are hoping to go back for my birthday in January if we're not in lockdown.

Wonderful place, lovely staff and exceptional food. 10/10

I cannot fault this campsite in anyway.

The site is beautiful with loads of open space for the kids to play. The pitches are spacious.

The toilets and showers are plentiful, incredibly clean with fabulously hot water. There is even a toddler toilet with a potty, toddler seat, baby bath and changing mat-they’ve thought of everything!

The on site restaurant is incredible! Wide selection from Breakfasts, sandwiches, jacket potato’s, steaks, burgers, pizzas, curries and more. It is all freshly cooked and delicious.

Staff are all lovely and very helpful. Cannot wait to visit again.

Just come home from 6 peaceful nights at Greenway. Cannot recommend this site enough. All the staff were helpful, polite and welcoming. We had a generous sized, electric pitch under the trees. Lots of room in the middle of the field for kids to play.
Quiet at night, no bother with noise after 10.30pm apart from the local wildlife (yes, you Mr Owl). Toilet and washing facilities clean, plenty of showers, no need to queue even though it was a Bank Holiday, and showers nice and hot.
The onsite cafe is great too. My son would recommend the pancakes.
Will definitely be back.

Postponed trip from June 2020 to June 2021. First of all the site were able to simply move all of our groups bookings, no faff involved at all so I was really grateful for that.

My daughter and I stayed in one of the glamping arks for the weekend, it was fully equipped with everything we needed and even had things I didn’t think of - like a washing up bowl, and even wine glasses! We were part of a larger group who were camping and the site kindly put their tent pitches right next to our ark. They are dog friendly which is always a bonus, and the location is beautiful with a stunning woodland nearby, and the river Wye just down the road for some wild swimming!
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and I’m sure we will be back again. Thank you!

We stayed for 4 nights in our camper van - 3 of which were wet / windy or both!
Great facilities and they let us set up in a closed off area as the open area was very wet and difficult to get in and out of.
Very clean washrooms and very hot showers.
Great pizzas that were delivered to us!
Good location to visit Wales (we couldn’t due to lockdown etc), FoD plus Cheltenham and Stratford.
