I needed somewhere to stay for one night that was central in the Bryanston area. Peaceful Retreat not only met that criteria, but it turned out to be the most beautiful venue. Stunning garden, pool, tennis court, free wifi. Warm and friendly owners. It was just what I was looking for

Whenever I visit Joberg, this is the best place I love to stay in. Maria, the owner looks into all my requests personally and not once have I had an issue. I am vegetarian and every time she goes out of the way to prepare the most elaborate breakfast with new items. The ingredients are also fresh grown from her our vegetable garden. I love the place. Its safe and really feels like home.

A Peaceful Retreat is a lovely weekend getaway. One forgets that they are in the middle of Johannesburg, thanks to the beautiful gardens and singing birds. Milton was very helpful and met our every need.
Two things could be improved upon. 1. Better quality blankets 2. A slight improvement in the breakfast menu. There was not much variety and some of the food was cold.

Enjoyed the facility set in a lush and green compound. Especially loved to listen to the birds in the morning. Secure neighbourhood that was great for jogging. Service was A+ and accommodating of our schedule.

I stayed here for a week while on business in the area. The house and gardens are lovely and provide a very relaxing setting to unwind. The hosts Maria and Greg were charming and always there whenever I needed advice on where to go or what to do. The next time I visit Johannesburg I will definitely stay here again.
