What a great find, close to Johannesburg in such a beautiful setting. We booked the Buffelskloof house which was very comfortable and we prepared for larger groups. It would have been useful to know when loadshedding was going to take place as we found ourselves caught out at dinner time but the wonderful boma provided ample braai options. There are lovely walks and lots of activities if you would like to be active. A great getaway for family and friends.

We stayed in Rock Haven & it is a beautiful room built on a rock face. Stunning corner bath overlooking the bush. However, a novelty room doesn’t make up for bad service. We arrived at 17:30 & nobody was at reception, we had to call & then go behind the desk & get our own keys. Our patio was very dirty, hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We decided to support the tea garden that is so well advertised on your FB page and menu in our room, however the chef wasn’t there. Thursday lunch time, even though the website says it is open Thursday to Sunday 8am - 5pm. I brought it up with the receptionist who just laughed. Lovely.

Great location. Unit needs updating and some serious work on the main bedroom suite - remove the rock feature if possible as it attracts unwanted visitors. Need improvements in kitchen, no oven and only allowed to use 2 plates of stove. Discussed my concerns with management and was told that this unit will be updated and improved in 2020. My mother loved the beauty of the place, and that is important.

We had the most beautiful stay in the Eagles Nest chalet. The views are out of this world - especially the view from the main bedroom, with the sliding door open. The chalet is kitted out with everything that you need, even during loadshedding. The chalet is beautifully decorated, clean and so comfortable! We had a lovely afternoon in the pool, as well as a hike to Dome View. The receptionist (her name means 'advice') was so lovely and easy to talk to!
Thank you for the most peaceful stay - we are so well-rested and ready for 2023!

The service at the reception was very good and very welcoming. The road leading up to the chalet was breathtaking. The chalet itself was clean and all utensils and cutlery were there for
2 people. Leading to the balcony there is a beautiful view of the mountains and a bathtub overlooking the bush and mountain. We took a fantastic hike with breathtaking views. The pool was fantastic and also have fantastic views. There is limited phone coverage/signal which makes this, even more, relaxing to go off the grid. Thank you for the wonderful time that we had we will definitely return.

We enjoyed the quiet, private and open view to nature of the chalet. This resort is simple yet adequate for a break-a -way. The serroundings are completely natural and extremely peacefull. Each unit has its own character and unique view.

We had to wait for hours to receive our food at the restaurant. Receptionist very unhelpful. We were booked to stay the night but decided to leave early because of poor service. Also something else, there is no wifi available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. A spot to behold set amongst the trees. Access to walking trails and a sparkling swimming pool, with views of the mountains, to cool off in. This is the perfect escape from the bustle of city life....

I came here for a late lunch.
The setting in the garden was nice.
The avo on toast that I wanted was not available anymore, so I had the scones, which were quite nice and with different sides to go with. The bery smoothie was excellent as well.
I waited quite a bit before to be served, as there was a confusion in the kitchen, but the waiters were very nice and friendly.

Stayed at Thabela Thabang Mountain retreat for our 29th Wedding anniversary in Rockhaven. What a really stunning place to spend private time with your spouse. Thank you Karin for all your help with the arrangements. This is a must. Rockhaven is very private and has everything you need to make your time special. A must for any occasion.
