My husband, myself and 2 adult sons stayed for one night at Carmey Avdat. We had been hiking in Ein Akev, and found the accomodations at Carmey Avdat to be perfect for our needs. On arrival, we enjoyed a tour of their boutique winery (and recommend their Cabernet Sauvignon and Duet wines.) The eco friendly cabins are spacious and very comfortable. The cabin kitchen is well supplied should you want to cook a meal. The flowers and greenery along the trail up to the cabin beautiful. The quiet, dark night was a spectacular treat! We took in the beautiful star filled night sky sitting around a campfire, sipping wine and nibbling on cheese (wines, cheeses, crackers - even firewood and fire starter are available at the little shop.) A delicious breakfast was waiting for us in the morning, providing a scrumptious and perfect start to another day of hiking. This is a perfect spot for a getaway relaxing stay. …

I loved staying at Karmey Avdat! It was a comfortable and peaceful experience in the valley of the Negev desert. It reminded me of camping because I spent so much time outside the comfortable cabin either in the hammock or other comfortable seating in front and behind the cabin. I watched birds, stars, read, prayed, and relaxed. After long hikes, we came back and soaked in the outdoor jacuzzi. Hannah and her team made sure we were well taken care of. A big breakfast was delivered everyday. Sometimes we found surprise homemade cookies waiting for us in the afternoon. Someone was always asking if we needed anything. This place is run with loving care and warm hospitality. I can’t wait to go back!

We spent four nights in the Somek cabin, surrounded by citrus trees, dozens of birds every morning, and the peaceful silence (except for the daily IAF sorties, which we thought were cool!) of the Negev. The staff was delightful, especially Nika, who brought us our fresh, delicious breakfast each morning. A short drive to the nearest grocery helped us make our own dinners, usually with some breakfast leftovers. Great desert hiking in the nearby Zin Valley and Ein Avdat kept us busy when we wanted, but relaxing at the cabin (porch, hammock, jacuzzi, and backyard seating) was just as enjoyable. Comfortable bed, nice rain shower. The pebble floors add a nice, natural feel, but bring slippers for your sensitive soles!

We loved everything about Carmey Avdat. The location is beautiful and our secluded cabin provided the privacy and serenity we wanted. Absolutely loved the provided wine, dates and fruits. We bought some cheese and crackers from the shop and it was all delicious. The cabin is equipped with everything you need in a small space. The bath-shower was wonderful. Outside, we adored dining on the porch, as well as appreciating the spa, hammock and fire pit. The experience is exactly what you see in the pictures. One of our most delightful memories is the breakfast delivery which provides numerous options Israeli style. We also enjoyed a sunset hike in the surrounding hills where there are some ancient ruins. We also enjoyed a wine tasting our first night and learning about the vineyard and wine making. Finally, we can't say enough about the staff. So friendly, helpful and accommodating. (Thank you Yan). We highly, highly recommend this place and plan to return. …
