Another COVID weekend getaway. This time to Jomtien Beach south of Pattaya. This new resort has a lot to offer. Great facilities, a wide variety room and food choices and a great beachfront- lawn and sand. We stay in a Beachfront Pool Villa. Yes, it faces the Gulf of Thailand but the beach is about 100m aways. Still, a great view and beautiful room. The resort has plenty to do including that amazing two level pool with a slide from upper to lower. However, like other resorts right now, I am sure they are struggling to scale up staff to a 4-star level. Long waits in the restaurant, 45m for room service (and then forgetting a pen) and very few staff who can understand English at all. I am sure they will get better as tourism comes but and we will come again because the location and the resort are amazing. Oh, go down to the beach, turn right and go for a walk. Many local restaurants, chill bars and lots of sand.

We wanted to break away from the busy city for a few days and also have some peace and quiet away from the construction site next door. We found this resort and thought it would provide what we were looking for. Check in was very summarily. Details about the special breakfast or password for Wi-Fi were not provided. We had booked an Oceanfront pool villa. A spacious room with a balcony offering a view over the ocean and a 5 x 2,5 m pool, about 70 cm deep. Not suitable for real swimming but quite OK for cooling down and playing a bit. The basin and bath tub are in the room, shower and toilet (with a glass door!) separately. So we thought we had found the right spot – until at 5 p.m. they started the music at the beach bar just in front of us. Bye bye quiet. We had in-room dining but with the unasked for music from below we did not enjoy it as much as we could have. In the afternoon we had some drinks and snacks in the lounge which was included in our package. Here too some weird esoteric music, far too loud to provide for a relaxing stay. In the morning a tray is delivered with a breakfast that can be floated in the pool. In itself a nice idea but not thought through very well. No one asked what we would like, so three times a tray was brought with what seemed like breakfast for just one person, one set of crockery. And three times most of it was sent back for not being wanted, no one bothered to think why or re-adjust the contents. You can also have breakfast at the restaurant. Set menu brought at the table, every menu the proton a construction worker would need, but we didn’t. So again a lot of waste. The rooftop bar was visited but just as quickly left as I find techno music at a loud level not something to enjoy even the nicest sunset by. So although this is a high end resort the way it is managed does not provide for the luxury that could be enjoyed. So in its class I cannot rate more than “average”, as the next level, “very good” is not what we experienced. There were too many flaws.

We booked 2 seaview rooms for a Sunday night. Using the Thai Travel Together campaign, the price is super affordable. The hotel is very clean and well decorated. Our room is big all right. But the bathroom is HUGE. We can pretty much fit both our luggage in there despite the bathtub and big counter. The highlight of the hotel is probably its double-decked swimming pool. The water slide is an absolute fun for both kids and adults. But it can get quite crowded in the evening. Recommended for a group, a family with kids. But if you’re looking for a getaway experience or a romantic seaside trip. Maybe it is not the best choice (unless you book for a private villa, I guess).

We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights for family and friends. The hotel was in high occupancy but the staffs are enough to serve the guests. We love the pool despite the fact that it is so popular. If there are some limitation especially this Covid time would be more healthier. The room was spacious and clean. Everything is well done, except for the pillows. All of six persons in my group including myself was not comfortable with the pillow while asleep. It was a bit too high. The hotel is well designed and creative with the facilities. There is a kid's room with lots of toys that my daughter really enjoyed.

We stayed 3 days 2 night in the Ocean front Skypool rooms Located on the top floors of the resort with stunning panoramic sea views from an expansive private balcony. Check in was fast at the privy executive lounge and the luggage was delivered to our door and they were happy to help us with the luggage on checkout. The resort is beautiful and the rooms spacious and clean and fantastic for the price. Breakfast was beautiful with a wide variety of things to choose from, the omelette station was my favorite and we got eggs made fresh every morning. We had access to the privy executive lounge. This had free snacks, coffee and soft drinks as well as afternoon tea. Evening cocktail has some private tables and we enjoyed our cocktail food and cocktail drinks there. All staff's Hospitality service were amazing. We love this hotel and can’t wait to come back again. SoMi
