We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the Casona. The Tower Suite was really lovely and so spacious with a very large and very comfortable bed. It had a large private terrace , although the weather was not at it's best for enjoying it. The garden looked a lovely place to relax on a warm , sunny day too. The area is very unspoilt, but spectacular and we did a very enjoyable and beautiful circular day walk in the nearby national park. The evening meals and breakfast were delicious as were the wines and the dining room has lovely views over the mountains. The whole hotel is very comfortable and done in great style. The owner , Jose and the ladies in the dining room were very friendly and welcoming. They served us breakfast a little early so we could leave in time to catch our flight. We very much look forward to returning one day.

A beautifully restored character-filled villa in a wonderful mountain setting. Our terrace suite was truly superb. In fact, everything about this property and our stay was superb. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and breakfast. Our host, Jose, was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. This place is quite isolated and involves some effort to get to, but it is so worth it. A most memorable night’s stay. Muchas gracias, Jose.

we had a great time, the service was excellent. great experience. we were looking for a quite place of the chart and that's what wee got. the room was big, comfortable and clean! the food was great and so was the wine. if you are looking for action this is not the place, if you are looking for a quite place that's where you should go. I recommend going for more than 2 nights as it takes time to "decompress". allow daylight hours for the drive, the road into the valley is beautiful.

My daughter had booked this hotel for 2 nights for my birthday as it was within 1.5 hours from Bilbao. The drive up from the coast has some spectacular scenery & views. We were booked into the Tower room that has a large double bed, lounge and private patio area. It is a beautiful small hotel, situated in a small rural hamlet. Jose (the owner) was very helpful pointing out a number of view points from some of the surrounding roads that are amazing and also a view point over a cliff within 0.5 mile. This is a steel framework overhanging a vertical cliff face!! Not for fainthearted!!! Would definitely stay again.
