Second stay at the Ermitage in 20 years, real cosy though the rooms are small, and as Hugo the nice receptionist say due to the high price per square meter in Central Verbier Very clean, practical to walk everywhere including the skiing lifts, we recommend it, however it is costly.
Hotel is family run, they are happy to help when asked and very friendly. The hotel is right on the bus stop, a few minute walk to lifts and in center of town. They have a nice continental breakfast every day and spa after ski for relaxing. I have a nice balcony with a mountain view.
Great hotel in a very convenient location in the centre of town. We were well looked after by the team including organising a very late check in on the first night via email Would highly recommend - the only reason is doesn’t get 5* was the size of the single bed which at 6-4 wasn’t quite big enough for me Rob
Stayed over New Year and the first week in January and found the place spot on in terms of position, cleanliness and staff. It’s close to the main square/party central for the New Year’s Eve madness that is Verbier so good for watching but not getting soaked in all that champers! Will definitely return and soon.
Location: Lovely hotel in a great location. 5 mins walk to main ski lifts (Medran) or there is a free bus which stops directly outside the hotel. Breakfast; Good plentiful breakfast and great coffee. Continental breakfast style, cereals, pastries, meat, boil your own egg machine, cheese and breads..etc. Service: Hugo, Selina and the rest of the team (apologies i did not get all thier names) were fantastic. They asked each me what time i wanted breakfast on numerous days, let me keep my room on for a late 3pm checkout free of charge and also took my flip flops back up to my room after i didnt realise i had to go outside to reach the boot room. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms: I booked direct with the Hotel (Hugo) as i wanted a very quiet room (I like to get a good nights sleep and can be quite fussy about my room). Hugo was very accommodating, even upgrading me from a single room at the front to a nice quiet double room at the back (Room 31). I didn't hear any noise at all (although i do wearearplugs too). The room was perfect for me as a solo traveller. Like most ski chalet/hotel rooms they can be sometimes be a tad on the small side, but it has all the amenities, tv with all the English channels, en suite, decent wardrobe and desk, chair and a balcony..etc, a really nice room. Room 32, a twin i belive, looked a little bigger. Sauna, Steam room & Relaxation room: The sauna and steam rooms and relaxtion area upstairs is a must after a day on the slopes. A great addition to the hotel. Resort: Great ski area, loads of runs to go at. Plus the run back down from the bottom of Les Ruinettes into Verbier (which takes you to base of Medran lift) is mostly through the trees and is absolutely beautiful. Try and do this run if you can. I would definitely return to this hotel.…
