Somewhat walkable
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
At the end of August, a friend and I stayed in the hotel for five days with a bus tour company. We were thrilled! Our double room was actually a triple room and therefore very large. We particularly liked the extremely large shower. It was probably a handicapped-accessible bathroom, because you could have sat in the walk-in shower in a wheelchair. At night, it was also not necessary to turn on the light in the bathroom, as there was also a night light in the bathroom. Checking in was very positive. I have been on several bus tours, but no hotel has handled it so well. Essential information was given over the loudspeaker and then the room cards with the explanation of how best to get to the room were handed out directly by the employee. In general, all the employees (for the sake of simplicity, I only use the male form) were very, very friendly and helpful. Our battery in the smoke detector gave up the ghost and after we informed them, someone came with us straight away. After the person was too small because the ceiling is unusually high, which is another plus point for guests, the next one came straight away and the problem was solved. It is not easy to always serve a large group of travelers with drinks at mealtimes. But this task was also mastered with flying colors. I would particularly like to praise the trainees, who were able to quickly get the information they needed, even when they had unusual additional questions, if they didn't know it straight away. One seemed so experienced, as if he had several years of professional experience. The location of the hotel is very good, i.e. it is quiet but central. We had breakfast and dinner buffets. Both were very, very tasty. They were always quickly replenished when something ran out. The only thing I would improve strategically would be to put the soup separately. For tea drinkers, I think small pots would be practical, as you can then take them to the table. Conclusion: I would be happy to stay at this hotel again,

A beautiful, quiet hotel (former hospital), as good as new in all areas. Rooms, restaurant, sauna. Plenty of parking spaces at the back. The Wallenstein restaurant is in the hotel. Right next to the castle in Güstrow, just 5 minutes past the castle park towards the city center. Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast buffet. We only booked breakfast and can only rate this. Unfortunately, the rolls were pre-baked rolls from a bag (not crispy and rubbery inside), the bread was dry and the whole grain bread fell into small pieces when cut. A no-go for the price of the hotel and this classy hotel. Sausage and cheese were OK. There were scrambled eggs with bacon and boiled eggs. 2 types of juice, coffee from the pot and various types of tea to brew. Yoghurt, fruit and muesli (unfortunately only ready-made muesli sweetened). The small meatballs were also a ready-made product that only tasted of Maggi. The honey jar was almost empty and the outside was completely covered in honey and sticky. (unclean) More attention should be paid to quality at breakfast. We used the sauna and loved it. You register at reception and pay €10 per person to use it for as long as you want. You are given a bathrobe, sauna towel and slippers for the sauna. That really is a great service. The sauna is on the 4th floor and can only be accessed with a key card. Large, clean sauna area with a sauna for 4 people, shower and relaxation area with loungers, blankets and seating. There is quiet music playing and you can help yourself to water for free. You can also use the infrared cabin.

We spent two lovely days here with our daughter and were completely satisfied. It was possible to book a baby bed. The room was very quiet and the high chair was lovingly set on the table for breakfast. There is a playroom especially for the children. We would love to come back.

The Hotel am Schlosspark impresses with its professional friendliness 24/7, its courteous staff, cleanliness, a sauna area that invites you to linger and good work opportunities outside of your room. Here you can relax perfectly and at the same time fulfill your obligations. A visit is worthwhile and can be recommended all round.

Solid hotel with good breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are a bit sober but clean. If the bed is too hard, you can have a topper brought to your room, if the pillow is not suitable, you can exchange it for another one at the reception. For sustainability reasons, there is no air conditioning and no minibar. Kitchen closes at 21:00, so those arriving later should bring their food or go outside to eat. The hotel is centrally located with private parking, but you can't reserve it.

In my opinion, it is good value for money. The breakfast in a great room has something for every taste - whether normal food, vegetarian, vegan, British. The staff is friendly - no matter when, who or where. The whole hotel is clean, stylish decoration in the hallways adds to the positive impression. And it's great that the former hospital is being used so sensibly.

The hotel - a former hospital, still noticeable in the design, but completely legitimate. The reception was friendly, competent and extremely polite. What caused points to be deducted was the fact that we were not given the opportunity to have dinner in the in-house restaurant "Wallenstein" at 8:15 p.m. Reason: You didn't make a reservation. At that time, the restaurant was very manageably full with just a few guests. We originally wanted to go to a concert, which was canceled at short notice due to illness. How were we supposed to make a reservation in advance when we were only staying one night? We would have expected a bit of flexibility. Well, then, enjoy a cocktail in the lobby. "Green meadow" with Curacao blue - but please not as syrup! The breakfast buffet - well, comparable to other hotels we have visited at home and abroad - low quality. All ready-made products, whether meat salad or salmon schnitzel, juice concentrate, red fruit compote from the bucket.... You have a restaurant in the hotel, several locations - pull yourself together and produce fresh, the guests will thank you.

We were very satisfied with the accommodation, the breakfast and the service. The location is central and you can easily reach many things on foot. The access routes are also very convenient. So you can be completely satisfied with the accommodation. We will be happy to come back again and again. The hotel can be recommended at any time. Thank you to the friendly and courteous staff. The parking facilities could be better.

We spent a few very relaxing days with you again, this time over Christmas. The ideal location is particularly worth mentioning - on the one hand it is very quiet, and on the other hand the old town is only a few minutes' walk away. Many thanks to the whole team. We would love to come back.

We stayed at the Hotel am Schlosspark again and it was once again a wonderful place to stay. We had the "pay for 2 nights, stay for 3" package with a larger room and were very satisfied. The hotel was very busy and we were lucky that our room was away from the hustle and bustle. We would love to come back.

"Try to get a room near the elevator or in the center of the building. The corridors are so long that you might have to walk a long distance through several doors to reach the rooms at both ends of the building."
