The little sister of the Kurhotel am Inselsee convinces us with a nice room and extra room with balcony to the lake side, which is just outside, but thus has a quiet location. Güstrow Old Town is about 5 km away. Super friendly staff made our short stay an experience. We were warmly welcomed. The food was extremely tasty prepared. We got a nice set table and free ice cream afterwards for the wedding day. The breakfast buffet was rich and fresh. Egg dishes were freshly prepared on request. For us, hotel, old town and surroundings is a reason to come back!

The beach house is not only scenically idyllic and quiet, it is also the perfect starting point for excursions to Barlach (Barlach studio house virtually next door) , the Güstrow sights and for hiking. Friendliness and helpfulness are very important in the hotel - from reception to restaurant (with varied breakfast and good Italian cuisine) to room service. Our room was large, clean and functional. That two "fully stocked" bags were already ready for a visit to the spa of the neighboring "Kurhaus" there, we felt as a special encore!

We stayed for the first time in this dreamlike, quiet hotel and are absolutely delighted in every respect. Our dog was warmly welcomed. The rooms facing the forest are pleasantly large, with all amenities, mattress wonderful, cleanliness outstanding. The service topp.We immediately felt completely comfortable. As organizer for a group of six we stayed there for five nigths. The staff was very friendly and served us very well - almost at any times as we were up very early in the morning and also late at night. The price is reasonable and is a very good value for the money. I can recommend the Strandhaus am Inselsee to everybody.

Really enjoyed this place set on the banks of the lake just south of Gustrow, Fabulous location, just near the beach, great rooms, and a fantastic restaurant. We didn't even break the piggy bank even with post Brexit exchange rates. If I'm ever in the area again this will be the place I'll stay

I stayed here with my boyfriend last May for a wedding at the larger hotel next door. Service and food were excellent and rooms were great value for money! Beautiful location and lovely for a few days break. Staff were great and did not worry when my other half slept in and missed the check out time! I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a newly built annex to the main hotel and the rooms are large and airy. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are modern with a shower, tiled throughout and very roomy. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the lake and the breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff were very helpful and interested in you. I wish I could have stayed longer. If you are going to the speedway at Gustrow then there is only a 10 minute walk to the track so it very convenient.
