A great place to stay for visiting the famous royal castles, and the stunning scenery of the German Alps. Very friendly and helpful check-in. An excellent breakfast was provided, with a wide range of fresh items, regularly refreshed. Tables were promptly cleared - something lacking in many other hotels. Good coffee and some great local bread!. Alongside the hotel there is a pleasant terrace for a relaxing drink or meal from the on-site restaurant. This is actually run by a separate company, and table reservation is recommended. We didn't eat there, but the food - with a focus on local produce - did look good. There's some good eating choices in this small village, as well as a very handy supermarket right opposite. It should be noted that the road outside is busy and quite noisy during the day, though it does settle down at night. The bedroom we had though was comfortable and quite spacious. Good wifi is available for free. The hotel can provide a tourism pass giving discounts on local tourist sites as well as free local bus travel - very useful. Good value for money in this part of the world, and we'd happily stay here again.…
This was a very nice hotel and centrally located to many important things including the grocery store (across the street), restaurants (walking distance), Austria (20 min drive) and of course the castles (short 5 minute drive). Our room was above the outdoor restaurant area but we did not notice an abundance of noise. The weather was a bit warm and a fan would have been useful (the only negative I can say about the place).
I ate here during a trip to visit the castle. If I were in the shoes of the restaurant’s owner I would take some precaution about this big, unpolite and sad waitress who, at the very first sight of us has taken this rude behaviour against us. Pity, because the place is nice and the food is excellent. Even the price is adequate. Please, change this woman!
This hotel room was just perfect, nothing to fault. The decor, the fantastic bathroom with automatic lighting, the great bed and bedding, the view from the balcony, it all made this just a gem of a room. It is a clean, modern, alpine style, just lovely. The breakfast in the morning was also one of our best in Europe. The front desk staff were lovely as well.. The location of this hotel in the small village is very close to the castle and was perfect for our quick visit in the area. It is, however, right on the main road, but we didn't notice any road noise. There is a spa area within the hotel that looked pretty nice but we did not use it as I was a bit unclear how it worked and with only one night in the area, didn't have time to check into it further. This hotel is Highly recommened!!…
We decided to book a night here during our stay in Bavaria to visit Castle Neuschwanstein. What a lovely surprise! The hotel is easy to find and there are parking spaces. Ideal location about 2,5km from the castles (we walked to the castles from the hotel). Very warm welcome, "lobby" looks nice and warm. The room was beautiful, looked brand new, very modern with a mountain twist. We had a balcony and a very nice bathroom. Everything you need is available in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Little surprise we didn't expect: free access to their spa (which closes at 9, ideal after a long day). We had dinner in their restaurant. The food was very good, unfortunately it closed very early (around 8.30/9pm). Amazing breakfast in the morning (Sunday). Lots of choice, from sweet to savory.…
