The booked room was very nice , however, neither the shower gel container (was also not repaired) nor the temperature control of the shower worked in the bathroom. The body lotion was a mini sample bottle, there was no new one for 5 days. Is there a saving here?
Breakfast leaves almost nothing to be desired except tea. Bag tea !!! What are the Asian guests drinking here? When I asked for a green tea made from tea leaves, I got an improper answer from the “temp staff”. The professionals were top! Is there a saving here too?
Also at the bar we were well served. But 29€ for a pulled pork sandwich I find excessive.
All in all, we were satisfied, but nothing more.

Many hotels worldwide show how it works, the Bachmair Weissach is unfortunately not one of them in our view.
Already it resembles a mountain hut lift, long waiting times, no personal welcome or drink, luggage initially undetectable, screaming children everywhere, long lines, dissatisfied faces. On the main day of arrival and departure one could have adjusted accordingly.
Too much goes wrong immediately at the beginning (so to speak everything that was communicated at the Reservation was not on site (topper, extra bed, non-alcoholic mininar....). Orders. at breakfast or dinner are forgotten, dishes are brought to the table that are meant for the next table, and so on.
The children's lunch and dinner leaves a lot to be desired, as it is only suitable for the very young children. Apart from the fact that the children have not even included a glass of water in the room price at lunchtime, this ends in the children having to order food separately from the menu, of course again for a fee, as the drinks also no longer make the buck fat.
Too much mediocrity, no generosity on the guest, flair in day bar (quasi immediately adjacent to the reception) and also otherwise missing, bad beds, partly only average food without much choice especially with salad/vegetable/fruit, daily the same, raspberries you have to take with the sugar tongs individually, modest and gloomy and noisy spa area with no view in the sauna for adults, only one infusion per day, even worse the family spa, very manageable, crowded, only 60 degrees sauna.
Generally poor accessibility of the reception or restaurants from the room, rescheduling of reservations for dinner, even in the morning, are very reluctantly received, with appropriate comments.
Restaurant too tightly seated, no privacy whatsoever, or even Robinson-like with direct seatmates at the round table.
Almost all noisy guests, including influencers, and larger groups, who usually let their children run freely and then still have to shout something over their heads. The other kind of guests who feel it necessary to behave appropriately look at themselves knowingly.
Our children were very surprised!
Kids club from 8-10 years no longer suitable, partly unfriendly.
Rooms were freshened up only in the afternoon around 16.00 - that's too late!
Too bad! Also for the money. The price-performance ratio is not right here at the back and front.
Bathrobes for children only in 116 then in XL. What a shame!
We also arrived on the first night to be told that there was no space for dinner at the hotel - anywhere! When we finally managed to get a table the food was only average but incredibly expensive!
The gardens have a serious wasp problem with many visible nests and wasps everywhere. There are two pools - one small inside and one medium sized outside - the outside pool is uncomfortably warm and no children are allowed. The other thing to note about this hotel is that it is very popular with families with very small children and babies so all mealtimes are really dominated by babies and toddlers crying. This is not the hotel's fault but if you have older children - or no children - it might be better to book elsewhere. If you visit in the summer be ware: there is no air conditioning and the rooms are very hot at night.
One thing we ought to have checked before we booked was the location of this hotel, which is 20 mins' walk from the lake itself. The hotel owns a private pontoon on the lake but it is absolutely tiny and fills up with guests very fast. They are nice people here but I would not come back.

Yes, there are a lot of children and dogs in the hotel, but we have also met some older couples who like the lively and family atmosphere there and that is exactly why they come. There is also a spa area with an outdoor pool for adults only and a family spa. In summer, the beautiful garden with the swimming pond and the river in front of the mountain backdrop offers a place to relax and unwind after hikes or bike rides.
The hotel also spoils you with culinary delights from start to finish. Breakfast is one of the highlights for me. It offers a huge selection, especially for people who value healthy eating. The only disadvantage: I always compare it to the Bachmair Weissach - no matter where we are - and unfortunately most hotels don't do well. The evening meal is also fantastic and a visit to the hotel's own Japanese restaurant provides variety.
The rooms are somewhat spartan and the bathrooms with their white tiles are not quite up to date. The hotel does provide other amenities, such as a Dyson hairdryer. The only real negative point for us are the beds. The mattresses are very soft and unfortunately this makes sleep very difficult. You could feel the springs on the pull-out couch for our son. We hope that the next major investment will be in new mattresses.
Nevertheless, it gets the full 5 stars because everything else is just so much better than in many other hotels in this category. We simply love the Bachmair Weissach for its hospitality and its commitment to always offering guests the best possible experience.

Well, a five-star house, but friendliness is sought here in vain.
Overall, my stay left the impression that the hotel needs to make urgent improvements in various areas to meet the expectations of its guests.

"Make sure you consider dinner options if traveling with family and although food amazing it can get expensive in the evening."Read full review
