I booked direct - the lady was really helpful on the phone - for one night and ended up staying two. Do get a room overlooking the lake - peaceful and quiet. I had 2 good meals, one was really crispy duck and the other a Thai vegetable curry. It’s just a short stroll from the train station, and a bus stop just outside will take you further up the valley.

Great location, right on Schliersee, with its own beer garden. Unfortunately, the hotel is a bit old and would need urgent renovation in various areas. Carpeted floors in corridor and hotel rooms, old-fashioned ambience in the rooms and breakfast room, older beds, bathtub shower. Bathrobes and slippers were not provided, but “hidden” in the closet. We had booked half board and were then simply sent to the beer garden for dinner, where we could choose between a beer garden menu and a 3-course menu. And all this at a rather proud price (which, in our opinion, can hardly be justified).

We were there for the New Year's Eve gala with an overnight stay. Very nice, courteous service, we felt very comfortable.
The only point would be that the rooms are in need of renovation for the price. We've heard that the courtyard is being torn down and rebuilt.
So a full four points... how many would/will come back.

The location of the hotel is perfect - directly at the lake, with a very beautiful view, and pretty big pool/lake area to relax. Good food, very big menu for any taste (Parma Flammkuchen, Burger, Kaiserschmarrn, and Apple strudel were especially delicious!!). Very clean, the staff is very attentive and helpful. Drinking a Be Chilled and enjoying sunsets on the sun loungers at the lake was just epic!!

The staff and experience at Seehotel Schlierseer made both me and my partners stay truly exceptional, from the bubbles on arrival to the private sauna sessions topped off with some of the best unobstructed views of the lake surrounded by the foothills of the alps, truly a great spot. The team is young and energetic with an attention to detail which helped make things very comfortable. The newly opened "Walters Lounge" is the nicest spot to watch the sunset with your feet dipping in the lake and german beer to go with.

AVOID if you do not get confirmation there are no noisy works in progress. AVOID if you do not get confirmation that the crazy elevator has been fixed. If you are an indoors sport fan ask for confirmation that the training bike has been repaired (anyway placed in an ugly tiny and closed room). AVOID sharing any dissatisfaction with the management, they will only rudely reply instead of politely taking their clients into consideration. Never again although good location and breakfast.

Value to pricing ratio is great for the Schliersee Hof. Hotel is very clean, staff are excellent and dedicated to providing a high end experience for their guests. They're updating the hotel each week with new investments too. Their outdoor lake view area (next to their beer garden) has one of the best views of the lake and mountains, and is a great area to relax. If you're visiting and thinking of staying in Schliersee you should try this hotel.

Arrived a day late for a 10 day holiday because of a flight cancellation. When we arrived the garden and outside area was like a zoo with nowhere to park as no priority was given to hotel guests. We were advised to park at a public car park down the road. We were looking forward to a peaceful holiday by Schliersee which we had visited several times before. Room was pleasant but decided we couldn't stay as it was just too noisy and busy - and why not provide parking for guests - even paid for, as indeed the website suggests. We have now been charged 80% of the holiday bill which is in line with the hotel's Ts & Cs (if the room can't be relet), but seems a bit harsh . Based on our experience this is not a suitable hotel for a peaceful break by the lake but no doubt has other attractions.

This hotel is amazing. It has all the Bavarian charms with spectacular views. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The area has many beautiful hiking trails and restaurants. It is a short drive to Tegernsee which has a lot to offer. The hotel provides an amazing breakfast each morning with panoramic views of the lake. We would definitely come back to this hotel again. We visited in mid October but we would love to come back during the high summer season. Overall and A+ for the staff and facilities of this Bavarian gem.

We had a room with lake view for one night and I recognize that the short stay at the beginning of the holiday certainly also brings a price premium. Therefore, I expected little and was nevertheless disappointed. The hotel has had its best days and is a little chaotic, glass building block meets root wood. No problem. The condition of the room was just outrageous, a few highlights: Water damage everywhere - doors, windows, etc. Funny green carpet with medium pile length, just disgusting. Of course, no slippers in the room. Interchangeable elements in the bathroom such as shower head, hair dryer totally yellowed. Everything in the bathroom was totally high. Chocolate cake for reception, but not even a bottle of water included. How can you invest so little in your property? Can I really not recommend to anyone who wants a nice holiday. The only plus points: Staff friendly and breakfast good.

I have attached my criticism to the reception, answer: It's high season. Yeah, if the place is doing so well, maybe there's a new hair dryer in there?
