Neat and tidy hotel with a great view (if you manage to get a room with a west-facing balkony). The pool area was excellent for families with its several pools and saunas, although the saunas were in a separate nudist area. Included in the room price were also drinks from the minibar and a private beach with a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. Breakfast at the hotel was generally good including a wide variety of foods and beverages (even wine!). The hotel also offers e-bike rental. Cons include limited parking space at the hotel.

The Arabella Hotel has an enviable location, directly on the lake, the Spitzingsee itself is simply magical.
We were there for a week, had a sufficiently large room with balcony, functionally furnished with a light Bavarian touch - without wardrobe hooks, so everything in the sufficient closets. Equipment good, small fridge, kettle and coffee powder, iron on board, shower unfortunately in the tub – but good shower partition. Room service casual. Our dog was greeted with a toy, a blanket, a taste of treats and a feeding bowl.
The entire staff was friendly and helpful, not consistently professional, which can also be sympathetic. The booked half board was good, high quality, mainly regional products, rich breakfast, on the evening menu main course meat / fish / vegetarian selectable, appetizers partly as buffet, extensive but quite sporty calculated wine list. Very nice: the fenced lawn on the lake shore with enough sunbeds, dogs allowed on a leash, that pleased us, but probably? not all guests. Towels for the loungers are uncomplicated in the SPA area, which we did not use because of the great weather.
I would be on the cake if there was also a beverage service, an Aperol on the couch would be something. The in-house Spitzingalm is a good option. All around a successful stay, we can imagine coming back.

First of all, thank you to the hotel, which allowed us to change our booking at short notice. The location of the hotel directly on the lake and the associated lawn are absolutely top notch.
Three saunas, a steam bath and an indoor pool help to get through a rainy day.
The rooms facing the lake are nice, the bathroom is too small for two people to stay at the same time, but there is plenty of cupboard space and the minibar is filled for the first time free of charge.
The breakfast offers a nice selection, but nothing particularly special. The Italian restaurant is unfortunately closed for half the week and the main restaurant is no longer as classy as it was in years past. It is obvious that some experienced staff would be good both in the kitchen and in the service.
Nevertheless, the service staff are very nice and extremely helpful. All in all, the 4 stars are appropriate with room for improvement, because if you charge a lot of money for the rooms with a lake view with breakfast, you also have to deliver top quality and service throughout the hotel.

The hotel room was great. Fantastic view and wonderful staff. The beds are comfy and the bathroom has heated floors. The breakfast is very typical German food which is exactly what I wanted to experience. I recommend making dinner reservations at this hotel if you decide to dine there.

Just a side note. The spa was closed Sunday and Monday. So if you’d like to book a massage I recommend doing it ahead of time. Otherwise the pool area and the saunas were great.

Going back to the staff, ash-vannah ( the wonderful receptionist) was so informative and so welcoming. I recommend talking to her for tips and advice on the area.

I recommend visiting the Slyrs distillery. Take the tour and taste some of the best whiskey in the area.

Very pleasant stay to truly unwind but be and stay active as well. The team of the hotel is great and very friendly. Perfect for a stay with your dog, you can take easy and more active hikes right from your doorstep 👍. The view overlooking the Spitzingsee is amazing. Tip, try the Alpenspritz or the Spitzingsee Gin ❤️

Apart from the staff in the bar, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Another coffee machine in the breakfast room would be useful. A brief note at check-in about room cleaning and changing towels would be useful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Arabella Alpenhotel am Spitzingsee. The hotel is perfect for families, with spacious rooms offering a balcony with stunning views of the lake. The pool and gym were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the generous breakfast buffet each morning. Evenings were cozy in the charming lobby bar. Although we didn't have time to experience the spa, the hotel's location is fantastic for hiking and rejuvenating. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature!

We were here for the first time and were immediately impressed. Very nice room with a lake view and a couch. The bathroom could be a bit bigger, as the door always hit the toilet. That didn't fit in with the comfort room. The breakfast buffet and the evening menu were top notch. The service was very friendly and attentive overall. The beautiful spa area was wonderful for relaxing. We will definitely spend a few days here again.

typically hotels in this area have no air conditioning, as the number of days which are hot over the year can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Most of the time the temperature is really nice there.
