StrandGut is the hotel to stay when you visit St. Peter Ording. It is located directly in the center and at the beach in the town where the pier leads to the beach in St. Peter Bad. You can reach everywhere - whether in town or at the beach - walking. Take a room with seaview. The rooms on the top flow even have a sauna. The rooms are furnished with modern and bright furniture giving you a relaxed and happy feeling. The restaurant offers a very good breakfast buffet and good and modern food during lunch or dinner. You have direct access to the Therme. There is a room in which you can play table tennis or games with your family. All staff is very friendly. You just feel extremely comfortable and relaxed during your stay.

We had a room with beach view. This includes a sea view, very pleasant. It also includes a view on the sauna and people walking to and from it, I don’t know if they mind onlookers. One main reason we went there was that we were looking forward to using the sea water pool next door. Unfortunately the pool is closed until mid December. We were not told this when we booked, also the hotel‘s website doesn’t mention the pool was closed, while it does mention how nice the pool is. Two more points we were not happy with: an unpleasant smell in the bathroom and a lot of noise early in the morning from room cleaning staff shouting at each other across the corridor. More good points: very close to the beach, good restaurant with healthy alternatives to the normally rather heavy local food. Shops etc. close by as well. Staff very polite and efficient. Good parking (though I can imagine the car park will get crowded during spring/summer). All in all, a nice little stay.…

We have been recurring guests at this hotel since 2014. Once a year is a must. This year for the Easter weekend was more special, since it was the first time with our 14 month old daughter. The rooms are modern and cozy. Access to the spa and the restaurant are both highly recommended. The beach view rooms are amazing.

Located more or less on the beach the views are stunning, our room was on the top floor with a Sauna and a large terrace. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Nice and clean rooms, right outside you will find bars and restaurants.

For a revitalizing trip at St. Peter-Ording, there is nothing better to have a room on a higher floor with sea view. Although these rooms don't come too spacious, the local practice from boat craftmanship finds their way into the room interior, no space is wasted and it feels very comfy and like a home for those 8 days we're here. The sea view points West, so when you wake up sun does not disturb but puts the whole landscape in a golden shine with the blue sky above. Could not be better. The hotel themselves excels with their free tea bar, friendly personnel, you should include breakfast in your booking ... it's one of the best breakfast buffets I've seen in a hotel and it's really nice.
